How do I shuffle songs in a genre in the new iTunes on an iPhone or iPad?

I was at the Apple store today and one of their "geniuses" confirmed it is not possible to shuffle songs in one specific genre. He had not noticed this himself, and after trying to do it on my iPod, he tried it on his iPhone, and that did not work either. He told me the best he could do was tell his boss. This of course, does not help much, but we can always hope they fix the issue sometime soon.

Use View > View Options, and set 'Sort By" to "Manual Order."
Then you will be able to drag-n-drop songs up and down the list.

Do you mean remove them from the iPod or transfer them back to your computer? You can't transfer photo's back to the computer with iTunes. To retrieve photos from an iPod try:
iPodPhotoCopy Windows only
CopyPodPhoto Windows only
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
To remove individual photos from an iPod you delete or remove the photo from the folder that you linked to when you set the preference "synch photos from" and update the iPod. For example, if the iPod is getting the pictures from the folder "My Pictures," delete or remove them from My Pictures.

1) How do i get songs already on my computer, onto iTunes? iTunes says their in the libary, yet when i sync, the songs are not on my ipod.
2) I had $6 in my account, i bought TWO $1:29 songs, i have only about $1 left. I should have more? Help?\

If you want to shuffle the music in a playlist make sure the Shuffle setting is set to Songs. Then start playing your desired playlist.

With the new iTunes, I can't seem to be able to update playlists on my iPhone device when plugging it in. I can add songs to the playlist and can add songs to my device. However after adding songs to a playlist, I can not update that playlist on my device with the new iTunes. You assumed correctly, and it should continue to play the rest of the album in order. Does this happen to all your albums. Have you tried restarting the tv.

I've seen reference to the "My iPhone" local storage put no mention on how you create this folder or access this folder within the Notes app. I realize storing information in a local storage like this provides no syncing between other iDevices but that is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm running iOS7.0.4 on a iPhone 5S, and a iPad Air. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to Settings > Notes > Default Account you will see "On My iPhone" as the default account and the only choice if you have not enabled syncing Notes in Settings >iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. If you have enabled syncing you can still select "On My iPhone" as the default account. When you are in the Notes app you won't see any accounts listed if you have not enabled syncing because they are all in the On My iPhone account and that is the only place possible. It is not a folder that you create.

You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD. Check that the computer meets the system requirements for it first.

You can't resolve the issue. Your phone is bricked.
This is the error message that happens when you try and update a jailbroken phone.
Discussion of jailbroken phones is prohibited by the Terms of Use of this forum.
You need to buy another phone.

Try to use "software update" option
to to apple menu -> software update or system preference -> Software update
( you may try to use an old package on new system )

I agree if you have found out about ctrl B..... After upgrading to 11 the default view is without the menu bar.
