There is no convenient way to save the comments. You can copy the comments one by one and collect them in a document by pasting them there - a mail, a Pages document, or similar. Add the photo to the document and you have a record of the comments.  It will be a lot of tedious work, however.

How can I access images from IPhoto library on my Mac to Photoshop CS6?  I enable jpg with format "Photoshop" and this is what comes up -  "Could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file"

Photoshop is not a format.  It's an application.
What you are looking at are not true JPEGs, just iPhoto's "tease" representations of the hidden images it swallowed, as explained above.

  • How can I import images from iphoto with the albums and folders?

How can I import images from iphoto without losing the albums and folders I already created?

In Organizer, you can choose File>get Photos and Videos>From iPhoto.
Importing from iPhoto'09: If in iPhoto, you organize your media using photo references, that is, the media actually does not reside inside iPhoto library package, and are referenced through original locations, Organizer does not create new copies of those media and just refer to the original location. but if your iPhoto media reside inside iPhoto library, Organizer creates a copy all media in your pictures folder, also imports albums and tags and other metadata.
Importing from iPhoto'011: In this case, Organizer always creates a copy of your photos in your pictures folder which resides inside iPohto package. It does not import the albums and other metadata like star rating, caption etc.
    Hope this information helps!

How can I download images taken with my iPad onto my MBP please?

Your other option if you have icloud and a mac is to use iCloud and sync them across through photo stream. The other option as jhappahc said is to use a usb and import the photos through iPhoto.

how do i move photos in iPhoto for iPad from album to album ?

If you want to move a photo, then you need to use a PC or a Mac. In iPad, you can copy, but this is just a link to the original. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while...but it looks like it needs another photo program to do it.

  • Sorting images in iPhoto?

What is this issue with sorting photos in IPhoto? My process so far: I import photos from my iPhone. They appear in the 'Last Import" folder. (Or Last 12 Months - this happens from both folders.)
After the import from the phone is complete, I open the "Last Import" folder, select individual photos and drag them to the correct named albums that I've created under "Albums". Once the pics are moved to the albums, (and I check by opening, closing, and reopening those folders to be sure they're there) I then delete them from the Last Import" or "Last 12 Months" folder, to keep track of what's been filed and what hasn't.
This process seems to works fine. When I check the created albums, all images are filed correctly. And then, at some point, I go back and check - and all of the moved images from the entire work session are gone from their named albums. ?!  These files HAD been in those albums! now are gone. ?
I check the Trash file in iPhoto, and all photos seem to be there - I think. But now - the new **** is that I cannot sort the images directly from the Trash file back into the correct named albums, or any folder in iPhoto. All photos have to be dragged out from the Trash and into a file on my desktop. Then laboriously re-imported BACK into iPhoto, to start the whole lengthy, stupid, opaque process over again.
Obviously I'm missing a step, or something - but what?? I thought I was being very methodical. I have to say this is really annoying and counterintuitive for Apple. But please let me know what the correct process is. My greatest concern is that I have actually lost some images - but can't tell that without going through a much longer search of every album and folder…is it possible that some images have been permanently deleted?
Thanks in advance. Please excuse my frustration and exasperation.

    You're confusing a list with a place.
The only place in iPhoto that contains your actual photos is the Library. The Library has several ways of viewing:
Events: broken into chunks based on date and time
Photos: The whole thing as a single entity
Faces: Those photos you've categorised by people you've identified
Places: As above  but by locations on the planet.
Every Photo is in the Library. This is like iTunes, every song is in the Library. Playlists reference songs in the Library. So it's an user selected list of songs "that I would like played together".
An Album is a list of photos I would like to view together. Albums reference the Photos in the Library to make the list. They're not duplicated, just referenced. So it's the same photo in the Library as in the Album.
Because it's the same photo when you delete from the Library you also delete from the Albums.
Last Import, Last 12 Months, Flagged etc are all Lists not places. But they are a little different in that they reference the Library directly. When you delete from them you're deleting from the Library.  So the photos are deleted from all the Albums as well.
Last Import, Flagged etc are also Smart Albums. A Smart Album is - basically - a Saved Search. Think of it this way: Last Import is the answer to a Question: 'What are the last Photos I imported?' Flagged: 'What are the Photos I have Flagged' etc.
The only way to get photos out of the 'Last Import' is to have a different answer to the question: Import more photos.
So there is redundancy - several ways of doing things - in iPhoto, but no duplication.
So, import your Photos. Find them in the Library (Events or Photos View, doesn't matter) and drag from there to the Album of your choice.
And remember there are several ways to achieve the same thing.
You can restore photos from the iPhoto trash by right clicking on them and selecting 'Restore to Library'
To actually lose photos from iPhoto via the trash you would need to empty the iPhoto trash and thereafter empty the System Trash. Each time you will get a warning. At each step they are recoverable.

  • How to remove corrupt image from iPhoto

Somewhere in my photo library I have a photo that iPhoto really doesn't like! I want to know how to remove this image from my library, possibly by deleting it via Finder.
When I scroll through my photos in iPhoto the software hangs momentarily, and then crashes completely, whenever it gets to this particular image. When I try to export my photos (for backup purposes) iPhoto always crashes when trying to export this same image.
The problem has appeared with one of the recent updates to iPhoto, when I originally imported this image I could see and export the image just fine. The same issue is preventing me from migrating my photo library to the new Photos app - the import process that runs when I first launch Photos always crashes at the same point, presumably because of this same image file.
I am unable to remove the image by deleting it via iPhoto because I can't get iPhoto to display the image without crashing, please can anyone suggest another way to get rid of it.

I've been trying to post details from the crash report here, but the forum software tells me that the message contains 'an invalid character' - which character is invalid? Who knows...

  • How can i delete images from iPhoto?

I can not delete images from iphoto. When I try to move pictures to the trash they do not move, and if I try to delete them by pressing "right click> Trash" they do not move! pretty much the only way I can delete pictures from iphoto is to delete the library.
Can anyone help me? I'm about to permanently delete iphoto from my macbook pro.
    it is nerve-wracking!

Where are you trying to move these photos from?  The following are the key combinations for moving from different entities in the library:
Deleting Photos from an iPhoto Library:
1 - from the Event or Photos mode: select the photo(s) and use the Delete key to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the iPhoto Trash bin as follows:
2 - from an album, smart album, book, slideshow, card, etc: select the photo(s) and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move the photos to the trash bin.  Then empty the trash bin as above.
If none of the above work try this:  launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos and check to see if the same problem persists. If the problem persists in the new library make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

  • Pixelated images from iPhoto for iPad

iPhoto for iPad is a fantastic application, but very often although the images I edit look ok within the application, when I look at them in any other application (including apple's own built in photo browser) they are heavily pixelated, or some parts of them are missing altogether. The same thing happens when I beam or email said photos to my Mac.
I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the app, I even went so far as to restore my iPad (non jail broken iPad 2, 64Gb, WiFi+3G, running iOS 5,1,1) from a backup, but the problem persists.
    Any suggestions would be welcome.

    Dah.veed
In the Photo app on the iPad in the Photos tab > Edit I can select pix, but the red Delete button is greyed out??? Puzzled.
Is there any other way to delete a range of pictures or an Album in the Photo app (or in the iPhoto for iPad app)???
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • How to transfer modified photo in iPhoto to iPad?

I transfered photo in iPhoto to iPad via iTune.  After I transfered, I edit some of the photos and sync my iPhoto with iPad again.  However, the modified photo will not transfer to iPad.  On iPad, I still see the photo before I edit.  I noticed that photo that I edited in stored in different folder (modified folder) in iPhoto.  I am using iPhoto 09 ver 8.1.2.
Can anyone help to advise how could I sync the modified photo to iPad ?
    Regards,

thanks for taking the trouble to reply.
iPhoto library is a package and modified folder is embedded and not accessible by user.  So I could not select it to sync.

  • How do I move images in iPhoto '08?

Recently, when I uploaded digital images from my camera to iPhoto, some of the images were in a different order from the order on the camera. I have been unable to move the images into the proper order. I remember being able to move images in albums in past versions of iPhoto. If it is possible to move photos in iPhoto '08, how do I do it?

To sort photos manually you need to be in the Photo view of the Library and need to have event titles turned off
This only changes the order in this view - in event view they still will be in date-time order according to the EXIF data from the camera
If something is out of order you can change the date/time of the photo witht he change date function - or you can split events into multiple events if different things are mixed together and then in photo view with event titles turnd on you can easily move photos between events

  • How do I import images in iPhoto in order of selection?

I have a large selection of images that I want in a specific order. When I select the images that I want in a specific order and then upload them into iPhoto they seem to import in a completely random order. Is there a way to import images in the order of selection? Thank you!

Import oreder is not a parameter that you can use in iPhoto - by default photos are displayed in time/date order within events and events oreder is controled by the View menu ==> Sort events command
