How do i sort my music by albums without influence of artists sorting?

I have a few albuns with various artists in it, but my music app (ios 5) makes an album per artist, replicating it. I have already tested the "group by album artist" option in settings enabled and disabled and nothing happened.

You must make sure that the Album Artist is the same on all tracks in the album.

I actually dont need to rename the actual files.
Its just i have a huge txt list of 100,000 music names that are listed as so..

and i need this list to reverse it self so it is listed in the list as

Im sure there is some kinda way to auto a mix of applescript/automator/terminal to do something like: all char before the "-" replace with the chars after the "-".

I wonder if we haven't misunderstood what you were asking for. Could it be that you have not a huge file, but just a huge list of names in many small files. If that's the case, you should rather use the following script instead of the previous one.
Since this script does not rename the files, make a backup of your files before running it.

Thanks, I tried that. It shows me only the songs i purchased and just gives me a snippet of the song. After much more reading and a phone call, it looks like Match will stream all the songs in my iTunes account without having to download them, but of course for a fee :( Thanks though.

How can I Automatically Sync Music by Album

I'm trying to figure out how I can automatically sync my music by album. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to listen to whole albums instead of individual tracks. I've got about 30 gigs of music in my iTunes Library, but only 7 gigs of space on my iPhone. What I want to do is have iTunes put a certain number of complete albums on my iPhone automatically. It could be defined by space (gigs), number of albums, time, whatever. But I want all the tracks from that album, not one or two. And I want iTunes to randomly update or refresh the list of albums when it syncs to my iPhone. I know I could do this manually through a playlist, but I don't have the time to do this on a regular basis. Is there any way to set up a smart playlist to do this for me? Any other solutions?

As a smartplaylist would be about the only way that it may be possible, I think you would have better responses over in the iTunes discussion group than here.

After recovering your song files, strongly consider developing a thorough backup strategy for just this type of situation.
You need at least three sets of your music:
-- One full set on the PC within iTunes (on internal HD or ExHD)
-- One full set on an separate external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
-- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
Music files on just the iPod and the computer is not considered having any backup. If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer, then create and maintain two external sets.
Backup both the music files and the Library database file (iTunes Library.itl). What are the iTunes Library files?

I use an 60 giga iPod I started to fill it with my CDs without using library, just directly in it, I delete the Music in the library after record to save place on may computer. I have nearly 7 megas of Music stored. To fill 60 Giga it wille takes at least 6 months on my rest time. At the end if i loose my iPod or if stolen or broken or if i want to buy a new iPod of 80 Giga for example to store more Music ? How can i save Music in my iPod on a Hard Disk or DVD and restore on it or on a new one ? Is it possible or not allowed by iTunes to avoid Music copie ?

If you are concerned about using up your computer's hard drive for music, and are using iTunes 7, you might consider creating your library on an external drive if one is available.

All of my albums which is like idk 21? randomly fell apart while i was downloading Styx from limewire.Then onto my itunes when i started to fill out the information and into albums. Randomly All of the albums in my library fell apart!!! even though they had the exact same Info, and yet the albums fell into smaller groups.

For each song I have to manually enter the name of the album and artist.
That is terrible.

If you have a whole bulk of songs (such as an entire album) that have the same information, you can select all of them with CTRL+A or APPLE+A and then edit the information for all of those at once.
This is useful if all of the songs you're editing have the same artist, album name, or cover art.

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :

2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

As a result, albums without a year attached to them are shuffled to the top, and the rest are put at the end of my music library. Half of the albums under one artists do not have a year with them so my whole library is out of order. How do I get my albums to sort alphabetically by title?

The large text size makes your post almost impossible to read.
Excessive use of bold or capitals (also) makes posts difficult to read.
You can drag most of the column headings left or right, or right-click on the header to turn columns on or off.
Once you've used File > Display Duplicates or Shift > File > Display Exact Duplicates you can use File > Display All or the Display All button at the bottom of the list to restore the display.

How do I sort the album order in my music window in itunes 11.

I am wondering how I can sort the album order in my main music section. I have had to collect up tracks spread across several 'albums' into the 1 album they were. The name is the same. Now this album, 'The War of the Worlds', has 2 CDs. One is now where it should be, the other is near the end of my albums. How can i sort the order?

See Grouping tracks into albums. A big split in the postition can be caused by different Album Artist or Sort Album Artist, or one disc might be marked as a compilation while the other isn't.

How do I get iPad music to select an album outside of sorting by artist?

Hello all, newbie iPad user here. I'm having a heck of a time trying to use the music feature on the iPad. Had no problems downloading what I wanted onto the device but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to play specific albums unless I sort by artist and select it that way. If someone can point me in the right direction on how to resolve this it would be appreciated, thanks.

Select all of the photos and click on the Share button at the bottom. Select Photo Stream from the options and then create a new Photo Stream or add them to your primary PS.
