i have 10 cent in my itunes account and i want to change my apple store to another country ... they told my : you have s store credit balance ; you must spend your balance before you can change stores . so wher can i spend my 10 cent and sorry for my english
If you can, enter in a credit card from your original country temporarily so you can buy something that costs more than the balance remaining on your account and thereby use up all the remaining credit. If you cannot or do not wish to put in a credit card, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They can probably clear your remaining balance for you.

You have to be in a country to use its store - you will need to be in the US and have a US billing address on your account to be able to use the US store (that applies to buying and redownloading).
You can use iTunes Match in South Africa, do you not have a backup copy of all of your US iTunes purchases so that you can subscribe to it and upload those that aren't in the South African store to it ? -

You can't transfer a balance between accounts, it can only be used to buy content for the account that it's on (it also can't be used to gift content to another account)

Unless you have a credit card in the country you're leaving so that you can buy something more expensive than the balance you have left (the iTunes Store would use up the balance and charge the remainder to your CC), you'll need to ask the iTunes Store for assistance. Go here:

Or you can just open a new account in the iTunes Store in your new country. That would require a different email address, though.

Many thanks JEM24 for your help. Ive just spent the best part of six hundred pounds on a new Sony Rx100m2 compact camera, so I have no interest in the Ipods camera at all really. I doubt Ill be watching many videos on it as Im very lucky in that I have a good Android tablet. Its more as a stock music player that Ill be buying the Ipod for, if indeed I do end up buying one. I dont like the idea of paying the exorbitant amount added for more memory space that Apple along with most other companies charge. In fact I read an article on this very subject just yesterday in the tech section of Flipboard. It stated in the article that in the case of the Iphone the actual cost of each additional gigabyte of storage to Apple et al is something in the order of 60p.. This is certainly not reflected in the price us the customer has to pay at the till.. Its for this reason primarily that Apple in particular, because their products do not allow adding expandable memory of your own in the form of cheap to buy cards, that nobody in their right mind buys the 64gig etc Iphones..I am aware that we are discussing my potential purchase of an Ipod Touch here but you see my point. Do you have the card? If it has never been redeemed, the amount remaining is the full amount.
If it has been redeemed, there is zero value on the card.
If it was redeemed, the full amount was credited to the account, and can be spent down from there. To see your remaining credit balance, log into the iTunes Store and look at the upper right.
If you are not sure whether the card has been redeemed, just go ahead and try to redeem it. If it has already been used, iTunes will tell you. -

I did see this yes, I also spent about 20 minutes on the phone finally with a technical support person at Apple who told me to restart and reset my phone which got rid of the few playlists I'd somehow managed to keep on my phone, and also got me off his back because I had to hang up with him to do so....useless.

How can I have multiple users on iTunes (in order to connect to a shared office iPad)? Currently each of us has our own iTunes account, so I've made an "all office" Apple ID. However, I can't seem to get two different accounts (my personal and the office) to work on my machine. Even when I login as "the office", my personal library is still showing. Additionally, when I try to setup with a first-time use in iTunes, I get an error that I don't meet the minimum age requirement - no matter what birthdate I enter!
The library exists regardless of which user is logged in.
The only way around that is to create different user accounts on the computer.
There is no way to have 20 unique iTunes users access a shared iTunes under a single login on the computer. -

You can transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
To make the new computer the syncing computer you have to:
- Transfer iTunes purchases lIke I described above
- Make a backup of the iPod on that computer by connecting the iPod and then right-clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Back Up.
- Restore the iPOd from that backup
She will have to continue to use your iTunes ID to update the apps prchased with your account. To use her account she will have to log into the computer with her account (iTunes>Store) and change the sign in on the iPod by going to Settings>Store.
