How do I start a Wordprocessing document in P5

I am trying to create a bookm in Pages 5, on Mavericks.
The only way I see to do this at present is to use the information here, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4168 which is the Best Practice instructions for creating an ePub. Loading the sample iknto Pages 5 - it asks to convert or work on a copy - and going from there.
However, in the instructions, it says that one must start with a Wordprocessing Document. How do I do this. There doesn't appear to be such a template in the list of templates, and nothing I do seems to allow me to create anything that specifically indicates it's a wordprocessing document, and not just another layout.
In addition to this, I can't seem to get Pages to set up a TOC. I know I'm missing something important here, but surely it's not that difficult.
Most instructions are for the Pages 09 version, which of course - don't apply. There don't appear to be any tutorials yet for P5.
So in short.
How do I create a Wordprocessing Document? (Which I can then save as a templete...)
How do I create a TOC in P5?
How do I tell P5 I don't want a TOC - (so that when I export the document to ePub format, it won't insert a bogus one right on the first page.)

The template for ePub is for Pages 09 as are the instructions on that particular web page.
Have you tried looking in the Help for Pages 5? Here is the link to that particular subject when searching for ePub.

You have the option to get to the online help in Pages 5 Help menu.
If you have Pages 09 I suggest you use that app for your ePubs.

That depends on your operating system and browser. On Windows, e.g. using Firefox, you right-click on the link, then select 'Save link as...'.

You might find it easier to duplicate the whole doc and delete the sheets you don't want. Otherwise you are copying and pasting tables from each sheet.

How Do I combine 2 InDesign Documents into 1 (in a very particular way)

How do I combine two InDesign Documents into one in a very specific way.
Here's my problem: I have two separate InDesign CS5 files for playing cards. File one is the front. File two is the back.
The company that does my final print production needs the the cards sent as two separate PDFs. One for the card fronts, one for the card backs. Both of these InDesign (and the PDF export) files are arranged in the same way: page 1 is card #1, page 2 is card #2, etc. Nice and simple.
However, I use a different company for producing prototype versions of the decks (the production printer can't do this economically). My prototype producer needs me to send a single PDF where page 1 is Card #1 Back, page 2 is Card #1 Front, Page 3 is Card #2 back, Page 4 is Card #2 front, etc.
The decks I am building usually run 56 cards, but can be as large as 180 cards.
So, what's the easiest way to automate this process? is there a way to combine two separate indesign files by "interleaving" the pages from the two original documents into a new larger document (where I could do a new PDF export)? Or, is there a better way to do this in Acrobat Pro? At the moment I have to resort to drag and dropping each card from one PDF thumbnail pallet to the other. It's really time consuming and mind-numbingly boring. Any Ideas?

This script is actually pretty straightforward, so it's a good first
challenge I think.
I would script this in InDesign -- probably because I'm more familiar
with InDesign scripting.
To start learning the InDesign scripting basics, open the ExtendScript
Toolkit (ESTK) which is almost certainly installed on your computer
already. Go to the Help menu, and you'll find an entry there called
Adobe Intro to Scripting. Read that. I think that's the best place to start.
For the script in question, you would want to:
1. make sure both InDesign documents are open. They would both have the
same number of pages. (No scripting involved here, just make sure
they're open before running the script.)
2. loop backwards through the collection of document pages of one of the
documents. (document.pages is the collection you're looking for)
3. use the move() method of a document page to move it. (myPage.move())
4. Learn about the LocationOptions enumerator so that when you move the
page you can tell InDesign if you want to move it before, or after
another page. (LocationOptions.AFTER or LocationOptions.BEFORE)
5. Get a reference to the page in the second document before (or after)
which you want to move the page in the first document.

How do i start ipad mobile device services?

Just connected my Ipad 2 to an HP laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate and getting error msg saying This Ipad cannot be used because Ipad Mobile Service is not started. How do I start it. Have not had this problem before I upgraded to IOS 6.

On a Parallax Scrolling Page, How can I start the scroll bar at the bottom on page load?

I'm working on a parallax scrolling animated page in Edge Animate, and it's a timeline of life on Earth. But we wanted to start from the bottom, or "Origin of Life" and then scroll up while our 'tree of life' animates in as the user scrolls up. We definitely know it's not good web etiquette to start at the bottom, but our client is determined. I am more of an animator than a web designer, but I was wondering how one might do this using a bit of code? We are using EC.Parallax.setup(sym); from Edgecommons for the parallax function, which is basically just tying the timeline animations to the scrollbar. I've already got the animations setup to go the right way but we don't want visitors to have to scroll to the bottom first, as they'll then see everything animated in reverse! In my google searches I found something called an Iframe that you can use, and then a flurry of responses on how horrible Iframe is. Thanks for your help, we really appreciate it!

You can find the height of the document and then use window.scroll in your initialization function to default your scrollbar to the bottom of the page.

I'm just moving over from excel and tried to find an answer to this but i couldn't, maybe its just too basic.
In Numbrs, I have one page filled up with work and I want to start work on the next page. How do I start working in that page?
Basically I would like to copy the work from the first page and paste it into the second.

Terminology may help here:
a Numbers document contains sheets.
Sheets contain tables, graphs, graphic elements (lines, circles, text boxes, etc...)
If the area your work requires exceeds one page (as shown when you enable print view using the menu item "View > Show Print View") then Numbers will add pages as necessary.
Please post an image of your sheet if this does not address you question.
