How do I stay logged in to my Google acount?

Although I have "remember password" checked, I have to re-enter it every time I open FIrefox - Google is my homepage. To be fair, my username and password ARE remembered, but I would prefer to stay logged in permanently. This only became an issue when I added the PrivacyChoice Tracker Block add-on. I have since removed it from my toolbar. I also had a custom setting for Tools/Options/Privacy with exceptions to cookies but I have resorted back to Remember History. All cookies and cache are cleared. I'm not experiencing any other issues with other sites, yahoo, social media, etc. Just Google. Any ideas what to do next?

I think it is because of the tracking of "Google Analytics"

How can i stay logged in on iPhone Skype after i delete the app from the 'current' apps?
    Thanks for ur answers !

You are correct. There is no other way to recover this material, and yes it would have been a good idea to backup the iPhone prior to the restore. Remember that a restore to a previous date deletes everything on the device and puts it back to the state of things on the date you choose. The texts and contacts would be gone. Did you possibly sync the contacts with a supported application on the computer? That is the only other way to recover contacts. They are designed to be synced with a supported application on the computer, or with a cloud service such as iCloud, Google or Yahoo.

  • How do I stay logged in so I don't have to log in upon waking the computer?

How do I stay logged in so I don't have to log in upon waking the computer?  My login options are set up the same as on my old computer (iMac G5, OS 10.5.8), and I never had to log back in after the monitor or computer went to sleep.  I don't want to have to log in every time the computer wakes.

Thanks, Joe.  I do have Auto Login activated but was still getting the login screen.  I found the problem, though--it was a setting in Security and Privacy within Sys. Prefs.  So, now I'm all set!  Thanks again!

  • How do I stay signed into iCloud in Google Chrome on my PC?

How do I stay signed into iCloud in Google Chrome on my PC?
I use the iCalendar that comes with the iPad.  At home on my desktop PC I access iCloud through Google Chrome.  All appointments at home get entered on the PC, throughout the day.  I like to keep this page open but it invariably gets closed down, and each time I open it I am required to enter username and password, despite the fact I always check the optional box, "Always stay signed in".  Frequently I need instant access to this calendar.  I also have Last Pass installed, but it doesn't see pop-up sign-ins.  Anyone have suggestions?

Do you mean on the website at www.iCloud.com, or in the iCloud contol panel at System Preferences>iCloud

  • How do I stay logged into my service provider home page.

I have an ATT Account and use the classic home page with the Firefox Browser. I want to stay logged in for at least 2 weeks or more, but each time I enter the Firefox browser, it requires me to re-insert my full ID and Password. How do I change this so I will remain signed in for a period of at least two weeks before having to enter the email ID and password again. I've added an exception for this site in the Tools section and it still doesn't work.

My sign in box no longer has the 2 week check box, how do I get it back?

  • How Do i Stay Logged in After Quiting Browser

is there anyway to stay logged in, i'm tired of typing in password every time i quit browser
    thanks

The Apple discussion boards are designed this way. They do not retain a login after a browser quits. It's not a bug, it's not a flaw, it's not a limitation. It's how the forums were set up for whatever reason the owners decided. Some web sites use cookies to automatically log the user in upon returning. Not so here.

  • HOW DO I CHANGE MY PASSWORD ON THIS FORUM?  HOW DO I STAY LOGGED IN?

    Come on, Verizon....it's 2011!
I've looked high and low on this forum, ran searches, read old posts, and yet it seems there is no way to change your password to this forum other than "forgetting" your old password. (and some people have had problems with that method since their computer remembers the old one).
Another thing:  Why do I have to sign in EVERY TIME I come to this forum.  Most of the twelve billion other forums on the web allow you the option to stay signed-in if I like.  Not this one.  It's a real PITB.  And ridiculous for such a 'high-tech' organization.
If I'm wrong, please tell me.  I'd love to hear it!

The reps are on here, but I do know it seems they may get to your message a couple days later. So I through out an option
Yep -and that's purposely.  Budone, remember when the reps first started posting on here - we all "complained" that they were taking issues to PM with users, so no one was getting answers except the original poster.  It seem sI read that the reps now wait several days before jumping in to the discussion to give the "community" a chance to respond first.  If no response, or incorrect responses are happening, then an official rep will join in.  Sometimes they'll even chime in to confirm a correct answer....
But to the OP, it is primarily customers helping other customers, and if someone can help, they will.
Like budone said, what you are asking about is more a function of the Lithium forum software than Verizon per se; I'm sure there are options in the backend but it means someone has to know how to customize the backend...    As far as changing the password, yes, it does seem kind of backwards to have to say you forgot it just to change it....but that's how it goes.  At one point I found it necessary to change mine and that was the only way I could get it done.
The time out happens after several hours; it works well enough for me to stay logged in most of the day; and I just log back in each morning.  Not a big deal.

  • How do I stay logged into Adobe Labs forums?

Hello When I first enter the Labs forums I put a check box
next to "Keep me logged in". But everytime I let the site sit idle
with out input from me for 15 minutes or so and I want to post a
new topic or reply to one I have to log back in! Each time the
"Keep me logged in" check box is checked!! How can I solve this? I
can't stand having to log in every 15 minutes---the site is toooo
slow for that. And I usually leave the site for at least that long
to do other work and to give others a chance to reply so that I can
reply and so on and so on......

    Kurt,
I thought cookie problem as well, but I have no problems like
this for other sites. So cookies may not be it. Thank you though.
    Daniel,
Thanks for the info. I understand the need to log in after
idle time for downloads and customer info/care issues. These
are/can be sensative and require som authentication for sure. But
is that level of security needed for the forums? I can see logging
in after having closed my browser and turning off my computer, but
If I have done neither and have had my system running for 8 hours
with out closing my browser It is a pain to log in 16 times during
this 8 hour time period because I allow the site to sit idle for 30
    minutes at a time.
Thank you for passing along my concern and for responding so
    timely. Take care

i go to my home page, i then go to various sites, but each time i return to my home page i have to log in every time

    * Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
    * You need an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep that cookie, especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes
    * Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

  • How can I stay logged into Apple Support

Is there any way that I don't have to re-enter my password each time I want to use Apple Support?  When I go to use Support, my ID is entered automatically but the password has to be put in.
    Thanks for any advice.

I opened up Keychain in Utilities and double clicked on the link in question.  It opened up as shown in the attached. I then tried to click on 'show password'
and the top box opened up.  I tried entering my present iMac password but it wouldn't accept it.  Any hints at this point?
I do appreciate you hanging in here in what is turning out to be a lengthy thread.  Cheers/Bill

  • Can't Stay Logged In After Shutting Down My Computer

I don't know if I have Mountain Lion but this is the only place I can find to post a question. I have 10.6.8 on my MacBook. I got a new hard drive and now every time I shut down the computer it makes me log in again when I turn the computer back on. The only option to stay logged in is in Accounts in System Preferences. I have "Automatic" checked and my name in the box. Still, it asks for a password every time. I went to the Apple store and the guy I talked to tried it and it didn't work. He looked online and couldn't find it. How do I stay logged in. I've looked at everything on the login page and I can't find anything checked or unchecked that needs to be changed. I went to "Security" in System Preferences and the disable automatic login box is unchecked. I'm so frustrated. Do you know what I am doing wrong or why it won't keep me logged in?

If you are using 10.6.8, you have Snow Leopard.
Shut down the computer or put it to sleep?
I am currently in the Mountain Lion partition on my hard drive, but I boot into my Snow Leopard partition every night, so I can look tonight.
You have checked the two obvious places to check.
Without being able to see Snow Leopard now, I suggest you try some basic maintenance to see if it helps. At least that square will be filled.
Run Disk Utility/Repair Permissions. Repeat until it shows no repairs were made. Clearing the log in between runs can make the process less confusing.

  • Can't stay logged in to this site

Couldn't find a better place to post this so here it is...
I can't stay logged into this forum from my work or home desktop. As soon as I close the browser, I have to log back in. I don't think it's a security setting because I have no trouble staying logged into other forums/sites on either computer. This is the only site I have trouble with. A search revealed a few people with the same problem but no solutions. Also, I didn't see a setting or checkbox to keep me logged in. Any ideas on how I can stay logged in? TIA.

This is surprising. This is the first forum (of many) that I've ever seen that won't allow me to stay logged in. Is there any good reason to do this? One of many Apple quirks I guess. Sometimes I wonder if they do some things just to be different.
