Hello knittalottapusrex,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
Messages (Mavericks): Enable or disable an account
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH15041?viewlocale=en_US
choose Messages > Preferences, then click Accounts. Choose an account, then select or deselect “Enable this account.”
Best of luck,

It sounds like if you open Preferences in Word there will be a place where you can specify where to store autorecover files. Right now it sounds like it's pointing to somewhere that doesn't exist.

How do I stop getting text messages on my MacBook Air?

    Hi,
The Mac has an App that is called Messages and one of the accounts in it is the iMessages one that can sync with the iOS one.
Open the Messages app and go to the Preferences (In the drop down Menu in the Apps name in the Menu Bar)
In the Preferences select the Accounts tab.
Select the iMessages account  if it is not selected.
Untick the iPhone Number to stop iMessages sent to your iPhone Number appearing on your Mac.
Also go to the General section of the Preferences.
There is an items that reads "When I quit, set the Status to Off Line"  select this.
This will stop any incoming Messages (from any source that Messages can join) from launching to app when you have not started it but your Computer is On.
You may also want to go to your iPhone Settings and remove the Apple ID.

  • How can I stop the Struts messages

How can I stop getting Struts messages such as:
RequestProcessor - -Processing a 'POST' for path '/login'RequestProcessor - -Processing a 'GET' for path '/Welcome'
I cannot deploy my application on the production server because these messages will be all sent to the log files through System.out.
In one of other postings, someone suggested adding the commons-logging.properties, and the simplelog.properties files to the project. Unfortunately, that didn't help.
    I appreciate your help.

Struts 1.1 Beta-2 (which JDev 9.0.3, 9.0.3.1, and 9.0.3.2 ship with) has a bug where you cannot silence all of the diagnostics.
It's been fixed in the Struts 1.1 final release.
See this article on my web log for how to upgrade the BC4J Toy Store appliacation to use Struts 1.1 Final. You can use the tips to then upgrade your own application, too.

  • How can i stop the upgrade message appearing everytime i open iphoto?

How can i stop the upgrade message appearing everytime i open iphoto?
It's getting ridiculous that every time i open iphoto that it insists in being upgraded and repaired. Anyone know how i can get rid of this without reinstalling it?
    Thanks

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

How do I stop emails bounced message notifications?

I don't believe there is a way, because the server is going to continue to retry sending the messages until a time out happens.  Once the time out passes, you will no longer receive the bounced email messages.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you do not want to receive iMessage on your Mac, then all you need to do is simply sign out of the Apple ID in the Messages Accounts preferences.

  • How do I STOP autocorrect in SMS on my iPhone 3GS

I've read various comments about editing stuff in Safari.  I don't know how to access menus in Safari, but I DO know that Safari is the cause of my immediate problem.  Every time I type 'in', my SMS (and Safari's Google Search) change it to I'n instead...  Probably a typo for I'm at some time.
Anyway, I just want to STOP autocorrect, or remove the autocorrect entry.
I haven't seen an answer that helps.
I have a Windows 7 laptop, iTunes and cable.  Can I fix this by accessing the iPhone via the cable and an explorer view on my laptop?  I don't think so...
Any help would be really appreciated.

You can turn off auto correct.  Have a look at the manual.

  • How do I stop my text messages giving me a preview on the iPhone 4S?

On my old iPhone 3GS, I was able to stop the text messages from showing what was in them on the lock screen. It would come up with the person's name, and underneath just say "Text Message". However, on my new 4S, I have no idea how to do it. I can't find the option anywhere. Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi chloejoey,
A rescue email is something that you would have set up with your Apple ID, if you did set one up. It has nothing to do with the type of computer you have. Contact iTunes Support to get your Security questions reset - they will contact you by normal email, usually within 24 hours:
