How do I stop calendar synchronisation with phone?

I set up my 6111 to synch with Outlook using Nokia PC Suite 6.83.14.1
The constant beeping of reminders is driving me mad! But I can't find any way to stop it from synching. I still need to connect my phone to the PC to save photos and to access the Internet from time to time.
Please someone help me to stop the synchronisation.
(Have searched this forum and looked through pdf manual to no avail - may have missed something though!)

I just fixed this issue by turning off the location support on iCal on my iPhone. If all your devices are synced up that may be causing the issue.
After turning off location support I was able to enter the address I wanted. It gave me a choice to stick with my address or choose from the list of suggestions. After refreshing iCal on my computer it displayed the correct address.
Hopefully your fix will be that easy!

I've never used an email client software, nor had an ISP based email account. So
my numerous computers have never downloaded email into software. No loss.
But the answers do include setting up extra user accounts, not admin level, so the
other users do not mess with the operating system; a standard account or just a
guest account to use a browser to access web-based login email accounts, works.
There are third-party email client for OS X, some are free applications, others are
part of a larger browser product, such as SeaMonkey, & other Mozilla derivatives.
They provide an email segment or client aspect; unlike Firefox that's a browser.
Setup information should be within the Help viewer in the computer itself. Or by a
simple search online, including the OS X version and any email client software
your computer may have installed. Some browser software includes email client.
Also there are several ways to go in this matter. I don't see questions, only answers.
To learn how the Mail application works, if you want to import everyone's mail, then
figure how to set up user accounts in the OS X. Or use web-mail & login by browser.

Well, we seem to have confirmed that
(1) Your DOCX files are opening in Adobe Reader, and
(2) Your PDF files are opening in Microsoft Word.
Now, we had a go at fixing this but it seems pretty tangled up. It may be better to just forget double clicking and use File > Open in Word for DOCX files, and File > Open in Adobe Reader for PDF files. If you're having trouble even doing that, let's focus on getting that bit working for you - let us know the problem.
(NB Because things are messed up you CANNOT rely on the icon to decide on the type of file. Use Properties to look at the file name or type).

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

How do I stop Calendar overriding my Event location

When creating an event in Calendar, the software is quite 'helpful' in offering suggestions for the event location as I type.
However, if I don't like any of it's suggestions, or wish to override the suggested location, the software seems to stamp it's feet and insist on formatting the location data the way IT prefers.
How do I stop it doing that?
For instance, I am attending an event at the "Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5EA"
Calendar finds a very close match for this and replaces my location with
"116 Pall Mall
London
England
SW1Y 5EA
United Kingdom"
Apart from the excessive screen real estate taken up by those superfluous new lines, it doesn't include the name of the location - "Institute of Directors" - and it includes 2 countries - England and United Kingdom - that I don't need to know because I live here.
Can I not keep my own preferred format in the location field?

How do I stop calendar notifications going to my old iphone?

I have an iPhone 5s. I reset my old iPhone 4s to factory default and gave it to my mom to use. She set it up with a new apple account and connected it to her AT&T phone service. She is getting my Calendar appointment notifications on her iPhone 4s. I have removed the 4s from my iCloud account.

I like it, on here its all people having problems. No one comes here to say no problems. I like it, but you can wait til ios 6.0.1 which should come soon. I will adds bugs with ios6. Much how ios 5.0.1 did with ios 5.

How sync old outlook calendar in with new calendar

I recently found out that when I switched to an iphone 4 from my iphone 1 that all the past calendar entries were not synced in the new phone. I have been using it for a few months now, but all information in the calendar previous to that time is gone. However, my original iphone 1 still has all the old calendar enties in it. So the question is, how do sync the calendar entries from the old iphone to oulook without losing all the new entries?

At the moment this cannot be done.
The "Sync" process tends to rely on all devices being On all the time.
Often a Mac sat at home is not.
It is either Off completely or is Asleep.
The Sync process is also not very fast and plays out like a speeded up chat.
If the syncing happens as you swap between an iPhone and computer the contact may continue sending new Messages.
The server will tend to deal with these as they happen - mixing them with other incoming sync messages.
Despite the use of Time Stamps the app does not seem to make use of them to "Correct" the order as it goes.

How can I stop Calendar from formatting the location of an event?

When I enter the event's location (e.g. Concert Hall, 123 Main Street) Calendar breaks it up into multiple fields and sorts them alphabetically (e.g. "123 Main Street" and"Concert Hall"). It also tags each field with "!", meaning presumably that the location was not found in a directory or contact list. I'd like to stop Calendar from doing _anything_ "smart' to the location info and just display it exactly as I enter it. Any ideas on whether this is possible? Thanks much!

The site file is a database that keeps track of all your assets (and much more), including the scriptLib file. As soon as the page is saved (when you use the site file and it's open) the link will be change to the correct path that will work on the server.
If you're not using the site file you might as well use a text editor, since most of GL functionality is gone.

Yes because you two are sharing the same apple id for imessage prob for facetime and icloud.
You can share the same apple id for musics and apps, but different id, for imessage/facetime and icloud.
Go to settings - message - send&receive - you can be reached at - hit the circl i next to the apple id - remove this email.
then whomever gets the new email go back there and then add the new apple id.

Scroll down to Calendars and this sets default alert times.
If you add an alert to a new appt, it is in addition to the default alert time.
Either turn off default alert time or set the default alert time to when you want you want & don't add alert to the event when you create it

What is hpsetup and how do I stop it interfering with my airport?

For a couple of weeks now our household (Powerbook G4 and iBook) have both been sporadically unable to connect to our own network because something called hpset up seems to be in the way.
We don't have any hp printers or any hp appliances in our house. We live in suburbia on 1/8th acre blocks.
I assumed that hpsetup was one of our neighbours with a new wireless printer that is interfering with out setup. How do we stop it interfering? Interferance robustness makes no difference.

Configure your base station to use a different channel. Keep changing channels until you find a channel that works or you run out of channels.
