How do i stop Firefox from stopping a web page from Re-directing?

For example: I have a site that when I sign in, Firefox pops up with the blue bar across the bottom of the address line, that says it stopped the web site from re-directing, and then there is the "allow" button. I want to STOP it from doing that! How do I do that? ~ I run the newest updates from Firefox on my Mac OS X 10.7.5. ~~~ I followed the "manual steps"... Um... When I clicked on the "copy text to clipboard" , I hope this is what you needed!?

hello, go into the advanced section of the firefox settings and disable the option to warn once websites attempt to redirect you: [[Advanced settings for accessibility, browsing, system defaults, network, updates, and encryption]]

  • How do I stop last web pages from auto loading in Safari?

I find the feature of Lion that auto-loads previous web pages (and previous open applications) annoying. I want to stop this function. I see the checked box that asks if I want to re-open applications when logging out but I want the default to be to NOT re-open the apps. I equally dislike the auto-opening of previous web pages in Safari. I know that I can clear my history but what I want is for my homepage to open when I run Safari and not the last page viewed. Any solutions?
Found this for Safari in the forums...
Go to terminal and type in the following:
    defaults write com.apple.Safari ApplePersistenceIgnoreState YES
If you decide that you rather have the new resume behavior, execute the above commands but change YES to NO.
You can also do the same for Preview:
    defaults write com.apple.Preview ApplePersistenceIgnoreState YES

    iDrifter: The full command is:
    defaults write com.apple.Preview ApplePersistenceIgnoreState YES
I was having the same problem and this is what I did:
    1) Closed Safari
    2) Changed the setting (mentioned) above in System Preferences
    3) Enter the "defaults write ..." command into Terminal.
Now whever I launch Safari it does not load any pages.

  • How can you get firefox to refresh a web page like every few hours to keeep you logged into a account

not really a trouble it would just be handy to be able to set firefox to refresh a page thats loaded at a set interval eg 1-5hours because I come home from work and I'm logged out of web page like if someone resets router etc

also on pages like this so i could keep tab open and see replies without just by switching tabs and not needing to refresh when i do this I know this seems lazy but would be helpful if someone knows a way

  • How do I get Firefox to automatically size web pages?

Seems to me one of the features of html is that it's the browser's job to resize the page to the current window, if possible. New Win8.1 machine, newly installed Firefox, doesn't seem to do that (consistently, if at all.) Any option to do this?

O.P.: I should point out there's a BIG difference between "zooming" to fit, and "sizing" to fit. A browser can and should adjust spacing between elements, and even re-arrange elements, to get the page to fit, if possible. Sometimes it's not possible, because the page has specified the formatting. In my case, it seems like FF '''never''' gets it right. Even this very page has the scroll bar at the bottom, which should be completely unnecessary.

    ''locking - https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/775159 ''

Drudgereport includes JavaScript code that refreshes the page. You could disable JavaScript for the drudgereport site, that will stop it from refreshing. You can do that by installing the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/4922/ YesScript] extension which allows you to block JavaScript on sites that you specify.

now, while displaying the form generate some random number, or take the current time in millis or whatever. Put that number in a hidden field. Insert that unique number along with the real data into the database, but before you do check if the number already exists. If it does you can be pretty sure this is a resubmit of the same data, so don't allow it. This is one way of many to prevent resubmission of existing data.
A good way to prevent a refresh from resubmitting altogether is to do a redirect to a result page right after you deal with the POST request. When the user presses refresh then, he/she will refresh the redirect and not the form submit.

how do i stop getting the page about syncing, it opens a window everytime I start firefox

It sounds like it's loading as (part of) your homepage. Have a look in Tools | Options | General.

How can I prevent Firefox from cleaning my clipboard at exit (exit or closing firefox) ?
I am using FF 9.0.1 and the problem start from FF 5.0

    You can't prevent that.<br />
If you've placed data on the clipboard in Firefox then you need to paste that data in the other program, if that is your intention, before closing Firefox.

  • How can I prevent Firefox from re-installing test pilot?

I had removed the test pilot extension and its feedback button in Firefox 4.0b9. I let Firefox upgrade itself to 4.0b10 and didn't notice that silently re-installed it.
I was typing in another application when suddenly that window was minimized and the focus shifted to a Firefox "new test pilot study" window that popped up. Even if I had given permission for that software to be installed, that is rude.
I am not willing to trust that if I disable this logging software that it will stay disabled the next time I upgrade. I will remove test pilot again. '''How can I prevent Firefox from re-installing it?'''
One way might be to set extensions.rdf read-only. However, I do not wish to lose the ability to install add-ons, I merely do not want anybody (including Mozilla) to install an add-on without my permission.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=519357 doesn't seem to address this problem as test pilot is a known component. Its not a plug-in so I can't modify the plugin scanning settings to prevent it from being loaded. Is there some way I can reliably supplement http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/blocklist/ with a local block list file? If so, would I have to update that whenever a new version of test Pilot is released?

I'm not sure what you mean by "re-directs e-mails." Are the recipient addresses changing between the time you address the message and the time it is sent?
If you could provide more information I think that would help in tracking this down.
When you use Firefox to work with your webmail site, whether Yahoo! or Gmail or another, the mechanics of sending the mail are handled by the site itself. So if there is a problem with how messages are addressed, then you may need to check your Yahoo! mail settings.

  • How do I keep Firefox from asking to install the Flash plugin (which I don't want) ?

Using Firefox 26.0 for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0
How do I disable Firefox from requesting to download the Flash plugin every time I visit a site with video content?
Frequently I visit sites that have some video content; 99% of the time, I'm not interested in seeing the video; if interested, will download it and play it locally with my own video player (not Flash). Some sites
will let me play the video even without Flash.

Go to your address bar and type "about:config", press Enter, in search bar, type "plugin.state.flash", on the option that will appears double click or click with right button mouse and click and "Edit...", then change its value to 0 (never active)
    0 <-- Never active.
    1 <-- Ask to active.
    2 <-- Default, always active.

  • How do you remove Firefox from computer, will not delete from "Add/delete hardware"

Have tried to remove firefox from computer. Tried "add/remove harware, programs" from control panel, won't do anything keeps popping back up. Several months ago firefox crashed and computer would not let me log on to the internet. Went back to internet explorer works great. But now I can't seem to get rid of firefox from my computer. My internet carrier (cox.net) say that firefox is not compatible with their internet system. How can I remove firefox from control panel, is taking up space in my computer?

Try Programs or Programs and Features, Firefox is software not hardware.
Look in there for Mozilla Firefox not Firefox.

  • How do I keep Firefox from saving bank account data?

How do I keep Firefox from saving bank account data? I'm running Win7 64-bit. I can't seem to keep Firefox from saving bank account data.

Also, could you clarify what you mean by "saving bank account data"? Here are some places that Firefox may save data you have viewed:
''Firefox's cache:'' Generally speaking, Firefox will cache pages you have viewed so you can go Back to them unless the server instructs Firefox not to store them, or designs the page to reload and check to make sure you are still logged in.
''Session history:'' Firefox saves information about your session for purposes of redisplaying your open windows and tabs (and recently closed windows and tabs) in the event of a crash. If you want to restrict what Firefox saves, there might be some settings you can modify, but it depends on your concerns.
''Form autofill:'' If you have the form fill feature enabled, Firefox will remember data you enter into forms (usually excluding passwords). This can be turned off, or completely cleared, but there isn't a convenient way to remove just some of the data without an add-on. For example: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/form-history-control/

  • How do you stop printing test page everytime you turn on printer

Have psc1350 all in one. How do I stop printing test page everytime I turn the printer on.

The page that is printing is an alignment page.  It will be printed after a cartridge is changed, and will continue to print when the printer is turned on if the alignment is not successful.  After the alignment page prints you need to place the page face down on the scanner glass and press the "Scan" button to complete the alignment.  See your user manual for details.

  • How do I keep Firefox from graying out sections of the URL?

How do I prevent FireFox from graying out sections of the URL as it appears in the location bar? I hope I can keep the mechanism to get all the information information I can about the sites I'm using.
Please let me know whether, if necessary, I could go back to another version of FireFox to avoid the graying out feature.
Thank you for your help with this.

    Urlbar highlighting<br>
    <br>
This is a feature in Firefox to highlight the domain in the URL bar. Other parts will become grey. You can change a preference to make the entire URL dark. Users can revert to the old behavior by setting '''browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled''' to '''false''' in '''about:config'''.<br>
    <br>
    To change this preference:<br>
    <br>
type about:config in the Location/URL bar and press Enter.<br>
if you see a warning, accept (promise to be careful)<br>
    Filter: browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled<br>
in lower panel, double-click that item to toggle value to false<br>
