How do I stop Full Screen Mode from auto advancing?

I am attempting to show a PDF slide show in Full Screen Mode. The slides autoadvance and I can't find out how to stop it. I went to Preferences and made sure that the box with the faded 5 sec was not checked for auto advance but the program still advances. Any help?

I can't get either Acrobat 9 Pro or Reader X to do this and I tried with several PDFs. Unchecked, nothing advances automatically. Maybe someone else has some insite.

    The Firefox window pops up on a regular interval (I think every 5 or 10 min) when any other program is being used, even when a film is playing in full screen mode from Firefox. It does not happen if Firefox is not running (i.e. it does not start by itself). The OS is Windows 7 SP1 and this begun after installing the Firefox update 5.0.1. Exactly all programs are updated with the latest version, the computer is clean according to Microsoft Security Essentials. Please solve this problem.

    -> Tap '''ALT''' key or press '''F10''' to show the Menu Bar
    -> go to Help Menu -> select '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled'''
    Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now do this:

    You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons and Themes later. Check and tell if its working.

  • Unable to exit full screen mode from any app

    Hi,
    I just upgraded to Mountain Lion today and I noticed something wrong. In Lion I used to be able to exit full screen mode from any app by pressing esc or clicking the exit full screen mode button on the top right corner of the screen. Now neither of those seem to work, in fact the menu bar doesn't even come up when I get the cursor to the top of the screen. Tried this on many apps, some system apps, always the same. The only way I found that works is pressing fn + ctrl + F2 (or ctrl + F2 depending on the function keys setting).
    I checked the console and found this message appears whenever I go into full screen
    WindowServer[79]: CGXRegisterWindowWithSystemStatusBar: window 10 already registered
    Anyone having the same issue?
    Any solutions found?
    MacBook Pro 5,1
    Processor  2,8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB
    Software  OS X 10.8 (12A269)

    Thanks for replying so fast.
    I tried a couple more times and now the esc key method seems to be working, maybe it the cursor focus had something to do with it not working earlier.
    But I still can't get the menu bar to drop down when I get to the top of the screen.
    Did a PRAM reset, but no cigar.
    Do you mean reinstalling over the current installation or installing fresh and recovering from a time machine backup?
    In any case I think I'll wait a little bit more before I do any of that, it really bothers me to have to reinstall the whole system to fix something as insignificant as this. It's still a little annoying though.

  • How to set the full screen mode using setClip method

    hi all,
    how to set the full screen mode using setClip in that softkeys should not be used insteat on that need to create a own softkeys using commands.
    thanks & regards
    Bala.

    In CS5 there are changes made to how the screen mode is reported. In CS3-CS5 the screen mode has a corresponding number. So for instance if the ScreenMode is set to "Preview Off" and you ask indesign CS3 or CS4 to display the screen mode, it will report "1936552047", while in CS5 it will report "PREVIEW_OFF".
    try executing this simple command in respectively CS3, CS4 and CS5 and you will see what I am talking about:
    alert(app.activeWindow.screenMode);
    there is no difference if you do:
    alert(app.activeDocument.layoutWindows[0].screenMode);
    The CS5 solution is rather awkward to work with, unless I am missing something? PREVIEW_OFF is not a string, nor is it a number.
    Example -  doing:
    myScreenMode=app.activeDocument.layoutWindows[0].screenMode;
    and then trying to reset screenMode by something like:
    app.activeDocument.layoutWindows[0].screenMode= myScreenMode
    does not work in CS5 of course. It will throw an error. Neither will this line work:
    app.activeDocument.layoutWindows[0].screenMode=ScreenModeOptions.myScreenMode;
    Any way of working around this?

  • How to stay in full screen mode when the movie is end

    for some commercial reason, I need quicktime to stay in full screen mode when a movie playing is end.How can I config it? Thanks a lot.

    You can place what i called a sprite in the video.
    http://homepage.mac.com/qt4web/sprites/items.html
    Scroll down the web page a little bit and you'll find it. You place the stop sprite a few seconds before the end of the video.
    Right click on or control+click on stopsprite.mov in the above web page to open the sprite in the Quicktime player.
    Click on the sprite movie, 'select all' from the menu. Click on the video you want to stop. Go to about 5 second (more would better) before the end of the video. Hit the key i on the keyboard. Go to the end of the video and hit the key o (Oh). Go back up to Quicktime's menu--->Edit--->Add To Selection & Scale--->Save As and rename the video. Done....
    If for some reason the video doesn't stop add more time....10 seconds before the end of the video.

  • Remove "Open in Full Screen mode" from multiple files

    Hi there,
    I just discovered today that I could use Javascript with Acrobat.
    I download a lot of ebooks from a certain website that has them all set to open in Full Screen mode.  (Properties > Initial View > Windows Options > [x] Open in Full Screen mode)
    I could fix a lot of stuff that was annoying me with ebooks from this site, but I can't seem to find anything to disable the full screen thingie...
    I tried these commands that I found, but they didn't do the job :
    app.fs.isFullScreen = false;app.fullscreen = false;this.fs.isFullScreen = falsev;this.fullscreen = false;
    Thanks,
    Simo
    PS : Using Actobat X

    Thank you both for your replies.
    With Acrobat Pro you can set the Initial View through the batch process.
    Would you mind explaining how to do this for a noob like me?
    Thanks,
    Simo

  • How to start in Full Screen mode

    Hi. How can I make my flash site load in Full Screen mode by
    default (using Actionscript 3 in Flash CS4)?
    Thanks

    reindeer4,
    > How can I make my flash site load in Full Screen mode

    The security features of Flash Player are specifically
    configured to
    keep this from happening. The idea is to avoid someone being
    able to trick
    the end user into thinking s/he is using a fullscreen app, or
    something
    other than Flash. Note, for example, that unless you're
    developing for AIR,
    full screen mode disables keyboard input:

  • How to get default full screen mode in CS4

    When opening a file from Bridge, it opens in Photoshop in Standard Screen Mode. How do I get it to default open in Full Screen Mode? CS3 does that, but the CS4 default to Standard Screen requires an annoying extra step for me for each image to change to Full Screen Mode. I've tried defining a new workspace while in Full Screen Mode, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

    >It's in the way of the desktop.
    If you used exposé, there would be no problem.
    >Like now: I'm browsing a clip art library in Safari. Find the photo. Drag to DT. Drag to dock and open in PS. How would I accomplish that with an application frame?
    To start with, you could drag the image straight into your dock icon to open, no need to access the desktop, but besides that...
    If it works anything like in windows, when you switch to safari, with your browser window floating on top of photoshop, you simply drag the image out of safari anywhere on to the grey frame. It's even easier than having to go down to your dock to target the photoshop icon. If you're using safari full-screen, click and drag the image to an exposé hot corner set to applications, then simply drag it on top of the photoshop frame. (at least I hope the frame will make photoshop show up in exposé now. As it is in CS3, without an app frame, you can't access photoshop with exposé unless there's already a document open. With a frame enabled, I'm assuming that photoshop will now show up in exposé, with or without a document already open. I don't have CS4 to verify, so I'm making an assumption that it will work the same as it did in windows.)

  • How do you activate full screen mode in safari on ipad ios7???!!!!

    I've spent an hour trying to figure this out!!!!! It's working well on my iPhone but not on ipad!!
    Please help!

    I completely agree, the full screen should be an option on iOS 7, which I was warned about getting. I hope they roll out an update soon. I went to this device to streamline and simplify my life and the clutter bothers me when on Safari.
    There are other 3rd party apps out there I'm sure, but I don't like google anymore and try to minimize my use of them wherever possible.
    The biggest annoyance is watching an embedded youtube video on safari. Solution: download Mc Tube and open the video there. While there, you get the true fullscreen view, no clutter.
    Google search solution: duckduckgo better results, not revenue based & a clean interface.
    I moved away from the android pack to get this seamless apple experience where you just intuitively interace with your passion, or whatever it says on the apple ipad marketing. This is being typed on an iphone keyboard from an ipad mini that all I wanted to do was run Safari in fullscreen as well as sort through the tabs like you can on the macbook.
    otherwise very satisfied and awaiting some logical updates to iO7, that if not released would have Mr. Jobs rolling over in his grave!

  • How do I get full screen mode to work on my second monitor?

    I have a MacBook Pro with Lion, and I want to open my apps fullscreen on my larger display. However, full screen always defaults to MBP screen.

    John101,
    welcome to the Discussion forums.
    The Image Adjustment feature works for me on both image placeholders and dragged-in images. Did you "mark" the image, so that small squares appear around it?
    Regarding your second question: the problems are solved in 10.4.4 (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1496754&#1496754), so you might consider an upgrade.

  • How do i stop my Yahoo email from auto signing me into it when i sign into firefox

    when i sign into firefox, and if i have new email, my email auto opens when i sign into firefox. i don't have to give my password. in the bottom right part of the page, a box pops up and says i have (so many) new emails, there is a box to click on and my email opens with no call for my password. this way anyone who opens my firefox can read my email. how do i stop my email from auto opening?

    Agreed, malware isn't the issue. It seems to be a JavaScript call that sets the focus to the search field once the page finishes loading. If I were using Firefox, I could use a plug-in to stop the call, but I don't know of a plug-in for Safari that would let me do that.
    You're right, I just started noticing that a couple weeks ago. It drives me crazy! Any help is greatly appreciated.
