How do I stop my ipod from trying to analyse gapless play

I have just upgraded my rather elderly ipod software to the latest software (no choice if I want to buy itunes songs from the store) and now everytime I add a song to the ipod it starts trying to analyse gapless information - then it gets stuck on song 3 and I can't eject it safely. It's driving me nuts - I've tried unchecking and checking crossfade - nothing works. How do? I stop it trying to analyse gapless information. I don't want gapless playback anyway.

Okay - i just looked up yahoo questions on this problem - apparently apple - in their somewhat arrogant wisdom - have decided we all get this whether we want it or not - every time we load a track onto our ipods. I DON'T WANT GAPLESS PLAYBACK! It take HOURS to go through my music library EVERYTIME I LOAD A TRACK and I CAN'T STOP IT! Apparently the only way to fix this is to uninstall itunes quote: "itunes *****" unquote - and just drag and drop music files straight from your computer files into your ipod files. I will be doing this - a friend of mine got so annoyed that she threw her ipod in the bin, went out and bought herself a creative zen - and bought three for her kids as well. Creative Zen does not have this very annoying problem - AND she had no trouble loading her itunes library to her Zen player. (PS - astericks above are apple's idea not mine - apparently su_c_ks is a dirty word :))

Put the iPod into DFU (Device Firmware Update mode). You software got corrupted, so you will have to restore your iPod which erases all data and settings.

How do I stop Apple TV from trying to sync Gigabytes of Movies to laptop

Hi,
Ever since I got the apple TV and synced with it with my laptop I've never wanted the TV to try and load all the movies that I'd bought on it to my laptop because the laptop simply does not have the free disk space to do it.
I can find no option to stop it from happening each and every time I try to sync with it.
I want to view my photos mainly on the apple tv and now it always fails because it's first trying to put 10 - at the moment multi-gigabite movies onto the laptop first. There is a little tick box that says sync photos first but it don't work. Massive Movies first and always. Photos never now sync.
Help this is so frustrating. I can find no setting in iTunes, please tell me this is simple.

The Apple TV is very unlike and iPod to me because I can buy and download massive movies. That's the big difference it has 140gb free my laptop 10gb. I don't want to migrate my iTunes Libary to an external drive just because I can't choose which movies to sync back off the Apple TV to my laptop. You can after all buy and run an Apple TV without any computer to sync it to can't you.
If what you are saying is true and I don't have the option to choose which files go back to the laptop I'm stuffed. All I wanted to do was watch movies on my Apple TV and Sync my Photos and music to it.
Not to have to pointlessly waste gigerbites of memory on my laptop because of course that's why I bought an Apple TV to watch movies on my big TV not on a pointlessly small laptop screen. That's also why I bought an Apple TV with a 160gb hard disk. There should have been a warning then with every single Apple TV saying that if you don't have at least 160gb free on the computer you're trying to sync with the Apple TV don't even think about purchasing it.
I don't want to also wait ages for failed attempt after failed attempt for it to sync the movies before the 4mb of pictures I really wanted.
I can see what your saying but if that is the way the Apple TV really works then it's a very serious flaw indeed.

How do i stop my ipod from crashing

my ipod is crashing all the time and I always go to the home page and close those app's in the little box thing and it still won't stop crashing. I tired to reset it but I'm not sure what the network settings are. and what dose warranty cover?

I don't know how or why my ipod got stuck on repeat song as I don't even know how to repeat a song in the first place aside from clicking back to make it replay. I have done the first steps in stopping problems to no avail. How did it get there and how do I make it stop?

How do I stop my iPod from kicking me out of apps

My iOS is up to date and so are the apps. I get kicked out of most of my apps. Usually the ones that it happens the most with are apps by Playforge, TinyCo, and Pocket Gems. I usually wind up resetting my iPod every two or three days to see if it will help. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to. I'm tired of going through my games and collecting stuff or starting tasks and then getting kicked out and having to do it all over again...

I have the most current IOS and the other stuff doesn't seem to help. I also have the most current updates for all my apps. I have tried everything I can think of. It doesn't always do it. But if it does it once it will keep kicking me out of all apps on my iPod. I can add new apps from the store. I don't want to erase any apps because some of them I can't recover the data and I already had to restart them. This iPod has had it's screen replaced. It's our replacement for our 1st gen. touch that had water spilled all over it. This one is a 4th gen.

Have you tried starting up in Safe Mode? If not, I suggest that you give it a try. This will take quite awhile longer than a normal startup because it does a file check and repair of the hard disk.
If this works you will see your normal desktop. Once started up in Safe Mode, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select the Mac OS X startup volume (Macintosh HD unless the name has been changed). Then try starting up normally. If you are now able to start up, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and repair permissions on the hard drive.
If you still can't start up into OS X, it may be an indication that the hard drive has problems. In that case, having the system discs is almost essential.

How can I stop my ipod from going to my picture library when connected to my computer?

A week or so ago I clicked the option that was saying "Transfer photos from ipod to computer" under the "What should this device do" option thing when you first connect your ipod to your computer. I have windows 8.1. Anyway, I thought the photo thing was a one time deal and it wouldn't ask me "what to do" again. Usually i ignore it but I did,in fact, have photos to put on my computer that day.
Now every time I plug my ipod into my computer it takes me to my picture library to start "reading" my ipod photos and if you have windows 8 or greater, that is very annoying because it's its own separate "application". Is there a way to reset this setting without resetting my ipod so it doesn't take me to my picture library each time? I can deal with the pop-up when you first connect I just don't wanna have to keep exiting my picture library each time I connect my ipod.

It's simply called Photos and there is no options/setting thing on it. I have windows 8, it's a stand alone photo library viewer.
