How do I stop other devices linked to my itunes account automatically adding my downloaded content
I have an itunes account that other family members use. When I download an app or music or even take a photograph it automatically appears on their devices - we think we have turned off the icloud for their devices so how can I stop this happening?
On their device and yours you will go to Settings - itunes and app store and turn off automatic downloads. That will take care of music and apps. For pictures that is in their devices only Settings icloud -photostream to OFF.

I updated to the iOS6, and it allows you to view and send messages with any phone on iOS6 and linked to your iTunes account. You can unselect phones so they dont go out through the phone, but is there a way to block other phones from adding yours? Example, I don't ind being able to see what my son is sending/receiving on his phone but I don't really want him to be abe to add my phone and see all my messages...

You can go into Settings>Store and sign out of one account and sign into another one. You account will still have to be used to to update any apps purchased with your account.
You can create a new account without a CC by:

Note that the minimum age for an account is 13. -

Is there a way I can view/manage devices linked to my iCloud account? I know how to view the devices linked to my iTunes account, but I am not sure if this is possible to see with an iCloud account.
You can't, except by seeing if they are using services associated with the account. You could, for example, launch Find My iPhone on iCloud.com to see what devices appear (which obviously wouldn't show devices not using Find My iPhone). Similarly, you could go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage to see what devices appear on the Backups list (which won't show devices not using iCloud backup).

It's because you are both using the same iCloud account, you need to have separate accounts. iTunes is a separate account and you can continue to share that account to share music, apps books etc.
To give her a different account, log out of iCloud on her device (settings > iCloud, scroll down and delete account) and sign back in using the create an Apple ID option. -

Have you done the basics? Turned off directory browsing or
put a default
index page in every folder? A few years ago i ran across a
site with one of
those block right click scripts on it. Dumb curiosity- opened
a picture, and
looked around the directory. All open directories. A block
right click
script and every folder on the site was open.

Nuff said. The blocking script made me curious enough to poke
around the
directories.

On each device go to Settings> iTunes and App store> Turn off automatic downloads of Music, Apps and Books. Now a purchase will only go to the device from which it was ordered.

I think you are seeing sharing networked computers in your sidebar.
That doesn't mean they are connecting to you, or even that you can connect to them (they are likely pass word protected). It's a bit like looking around your room and seeing a bunch of computers on tables... you can see them, but that doesn't mean you have access to them.
It's also like seeing a list of WIFI networks in your Airport menu window - just because they're listed doesn't mean you can connect to them, or they to you.
