How do I stop printing of a log prior to each document?

I have 2 HP printers installed on my pc. All in one 3150 and an All in one F4100.
Ever since I downloaded the drivers for the F4100 (didn't have the cd), almost every document I print is preceded by a log of sorts giving the Filename, Directory, Template, Title, Subject, Author etc etc etc. It doesn't matter which printer I'm specifying as the default. This wasn't occuring when I only had the 3150 installed. If I request 2 copies of a doc, I get a log for each .....very irritating, waste of paper, ink etc. Can anyone tell me where to go to disable this function? I have Vista Home.

What program are you printing from? Word has an option to "Print document settings" that would cause this to happen.

Soution: Delete the printer and add the same printer back in, therefore creating a new print queue.

The page that is printing is an alignment page. It will be printed after a cartridge is changed, and will continue to print when the printer is turned on if the alignment is not successful. After the alignment page prints you need to place the page face down on the scanner glass and press the "Scan" button to complete the alignment. See your user manual for details.

How can I stop my computer from logging off automatically when the computer is dormant for a few minutes?

I must have changed a setting by mistake.
Now, after a period of dormancy, my computer shuts down all apps and logs off.
How can I stop it from doing that?
I've tried to retrace any recent steps in the Preferences, but to no avail.

Niel, thanks for putting me on the right track. I had to go to the "advanced" section of the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences to find that option. I had almost given up searching the 4 tabs on the main page in vain.
But I found it and it's turned off

Once you send something to your printer from any application you would have to control the printing from the printer driver and control panel. I suggest you learn how that works. It is not a Thunderbird function.

If you configured it with iCloud then log on to iCloud and locate it.
If you didn't configure it with iCloud then there is no way to trace it.
Report the lost to the police.
Change all of your passwords.

How do I stop printing at 4X actual size?

I have 2 identical i-Macs and a sudden problem has come up. Both are connected to a laser printer vis ethernet. I-Mac #2 has suddenly started printing at 4X normal size. I-Mac #1 prints normally. Both workstations are also connected to a shared USB ink jet printer and both print normally to this printer. Can any one help me?

OCG, I was thinking of AJ, it certainly wouldn't hurt, I'd try it myself in this situation, but I don't hold a lot of hope for it working.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.

How do I stop Game Center from logging me in EVERY TIME I open a game app?

And who is using my username and password to log me in? I believe I have read all of the term, policies, and agreements and Apple makes no claim? I open an app associated with Game Center and I get a popup "welcoming me back." I open the Game Center app and log out. I remove both Game Center and associated app and then open the same or any other app associated with Game Center and I'm logged right back into Game Center "without my consent." I say without my consent because nowhere does it state that I relinquish my rights to my username and password giving rights to Apple to use as it deems appropriate. Unfortunately I am not given that option. Apparently (when I signed up for it like 2 years ago because Real Racing app would not remember me if I did not register) I agreed to the terms when I first signed up and it just redirects me to the Apple Support Site front page. This is just ridiculous! And the funny this is that games run so much better when Game Center is disabled and everything an app associated with Game Center Crashed it was because of Game Center.

How do I stop Mail from automatically logging onto my email provider

Prior to Mtn Lion, anytime Mail started it would prompt me for the password to log onto my email provider. If I didn't want to check for new email I would cancel out. That's no longer the case. If I log onto a wi-fi connection, Mail automatically logs into my email provider and downloads new items. The prompt for a password no longer appears. I've gone into my Mail account and removed the password but that didn't help; I've gone into keychain and checked for the existence of items for Mail and found none; and I've gone into Mail preferences to the Advanced tab and removed the check mark on "include when automatically checking for new messages." I'm still getting new messages. Once I log into my email provider, I don't mind the automatic send/receive from happening. However, when I'm on an untrusted system, I would prefer to control the activity. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Before shifting to manual updates I'd probably prevent Mail app from starting automatically and leave it down until I'm ready for mail activity. Once I logon I don't mind the periodic updates. However, I should be able to work offline. This was the case when Notes and ToDo's were part of the Mail environment.

I'm getting a login window every 10 seconds on my iPad, asking me to enter the password (which I can't remember) for an Apple ID email address I'm no longer using? I can't reset the password when I've tried. On my desktop Mac, I'm using the new ID email address to get to iCloud, where it shows both my Mac and iPad being connected. My Mac is on Yosemite, and iPad is using the latest version of iOS 8.

Use these steps if you're currently signed in to iMessage or FaceTime:
Sign out of iMessage or FaceTime:
iMessage: Tap Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
FaceTime: Tap Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Sign back in to iMessage or FaceTime:
iMessage: Tap Settings > Messages, then tap Use your Apple ID for iMessage.
FaceTime: Tap Settings > FaceTime, then tap Use your Apple ID for FaceTime
Use these steps if you're not signed in to iMessage or FaceTime:

Naive question but here goes.
As a family we have one Apple ID. All devices are synced via my PC and backed up to it rather than to iCloud.
Books purchased via Kindle App appear on all the devices within the "cloud" option. How do I separate each reader's prefernce to their own device? I want to make sure that the younger one's dont have access to anything unsuitable.

You can have one AppleID for your purchases so that all teh devices can use all the apps without having to buy them again, and at the same time, have different iCloud accounts for each user so that their content is not intermingled with everyone else's. You can even go so far as to have your iCloud Account enabled for "Find my iPhone" for each of the other devices allowing you to keep track of where tehy are when they get misplaced.
If you need/want, you can share iCloud Calendars between different iCloud accounts as well. This is exactly what my wife & I have done. We share calendars so I know when she has classes or dog competitions, and she can see my work schedule so she knows what nights I have to be in late, etc.

How can I stop Pages from changing the date of a document?

It seems that at some point not long ago, I set Pages to use the current date when I use a template that I made. But now, when I open an existing document that was made with that template, the date is changed to the current date. I certainly do not want that to happen. Does anyone know what I can do to stop Pages from doing this? Thanks so much for any input.

Update: Immediately after posting this question, I found the simple answer: double clicking the date and unchecking the 'automatic update' box.

Right click on the date to change its behavior and once you have fixed it resave your template.

No, there is not. The actual code differs for each different type of device you are downloading for. You really need a separate version for each type of iPhone and separate again for each type of iPad.
