When I'm on a call ifi get an email or a text message the alert that I have assigned to it interrupts while I'm on the phone and I can't hear the person I'm talking to

Flipping sthe witch isn't the proper fix. Ever forget to flip the switch back after the call & lay the phone down & then find out later that you missed calls & texts? Plus, when the phone is in a case, hard to flip the switch. Then even harder if your wearing gloves & you are using your nose to swipe across to answer the phone. Only way to get it fixed, is to write apple & make the suggestion to fix it.
I do not recall any of the other iprevious OS versions having this problem until the most recent one.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.

I just recently learned that console is a good way to check on what your computer is doing so i went in checked on it. I noticed that a program i recently deleted called teamviewer was logged A TON. There had to have been thousands of logs. I had thought that I completely removed this application but it is constantly logging logs that look like this:

Sounds like you deleted the TeamViewer application, but did not uninstall the software, using whatever uninstaller is provided.
In this case, it looks like you still have a LaunchAgent installed. In the Finder, choose Go -> Go to Folder and enter the following path:
~/Library/LaunchAgents
In that folder, delete anything that has TeamViewer in the name. If you don't see anything there, try looking in this folder instead:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
After deleting from either of those locations, restart your computer.

How do I stop the Finder from seeing SMB (Windows) shares on the network?

I have the OPPOSITE problem most people have -- Windows Sharing works TOO WELL.
I've donated a refurbished eMac to the local homeless shelter. I figured I'd made the system secure, and prevented any monkey business. Turns out the windows machines on the network are COMPLETELY insecure (guest access to everything is enabled). The problem is that the Mac is TOO friendly -- it automatically connects to the server as a guest, and happily presents everything to the user.
I've tried a dozen different things (I've removed the 'Shared' section from the sidebar in the Finder windows (Go->Network is still there, Doh.), tried to turn off File Sharing, and even disabled the mount_smbfs command in the /sbin directory with "chmod 0 mount_smbfs".)
I've asked the folks there to call in a PC tech and fix their security problem -- but it's a good question to which I've found no suitable answer... How to I stop the Mac from connecting to SMB Shares on the local network?

Same problem, keep getting a pop up with connection failed you do not have permission to access the server. The server is a windows 7 box, Starting happening after an up grade to windows 7. I recently installed LR2.3 on a machine with LR1.4. I thought it would install over but it appears to have installed a completely seperate copy.
The problem: when I put a card in my reader, the Windows dialog box pops up for 'what do you want to do with this?'.
If I select the LR2.3 icon, it pulls up LR1.4 instead!! The icon definitely says 2.3.
How do I stop 1.4 from importing and letting 2.3 do it?

No, an external drive will not always be mounted. If the drive goes to sleep, it can unmount, or it may unmount for other reasons. As Chris said, confim that the drive is mounted and active before launching iTunes.
