How do i stop the file name popup

when I move the cursor over a page, a yellow box appears with the original filename in it.
it is v.annoying and blocks what I am trying to read.
How do I disable this feature ?

I've never seen that; perhaps somebody knows in the Reader forum?

AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR p_file.
Ask user to select file with a popup :
CALL FUNCTION 'F4_FILENAME'
    IMPORTING
      file_name = gv_full_path.
Get filename from path :
gv_full_path_string = gv_full_path.
CALL FUNCTION 'CH_SPLIT_FILENAME'
    EXPORTING
      complete_filename = gv_full_path_string
    IMPORTING
      extension         = gv_file_ext
      name              = gv_filename.
CONCATENATE gv_filename '.' gv_file_ext INTO gv_filename.
p_file = gv_filename.

Actually, I really don't know what you say.
But when you see the properties of a file in Windows, you can see there are two file size. One is called "SIze" and the other one is called "Size on disk".
Therefore, I would like to know the size on disk but not just the size.

I have a similar issue with regards to the filename...
When I navigate to my website, it doesnt work unless I actually type the filename at the end of it. Example: type in "www.whitelion.com" (this is my real domain name) and it doesnt work. When I type in "www.whitelion.com/index.html" then it works.
This is obviously inconvenient because my clients will never know to add the filename to the end of the site.
Is there any setting or way to get the page to appear by just typing the original domain name without adding the extension?

I'm kind of new to javascript -- working with a colleague who has Adobe Acrobat Professional -- I've got an *old* version of Adobe Acrobat and most of the functions don't work -- but how do we get the file name -- we're trying to develop an application -- so if the user opens c:\something.pdf, we'd like to know the file name (something.pdf).

i try useing the DMS_KPRO_READ prog as you said above.
The problem is that i need to retrieve list (range) of documents and than save them.
as it written now , i can do it just about one file.

While importing, how do I save the file name with the artist in it?

Currently when Itunes imports any cd, it imports it with the song name only, and put it in a folder with the artist name. I would prefer the tracks to be named 'Artist - Song.mp3'.
Any idea how I can do this? It's driving me crazy. I need to rename all the imports with the artist on the file name.

A plugin called LR/Transporter could probably automate that. However, I don't think many people will want to do this once all usages of the image are considered!
So an export plugin called LR/Mogrify (which calls in the utility ImageMagick as an output processor) would be the next suggestion. This should let you put more or less whatever image parameter you want, onto the image as an automated label - also add borders outside or inside the image boundary, place the thumbnail inside a larger square canvas, a few other options. Downloading a pdf file, saving it, won't show the full name of the saving file when the name contains a space, stopping the file name.

Downloading a pdf file, the name of the file contains a space in the middle of the file. The name showing on the 'Save' popup is the first few letters up to the space. Works fine on IE8. For instance, a file named "old snail_12345.pdf" would only show "old" (ignore the "s). This is on Firefox 30.0, WinXP Pro.

Is this a problem when you are viewing the file in Firefox's built-in PDF Viewer and using its download button, or when you are using a download button in a web page?
I've seen this problem occur when the server is pushing a different file name than the actual file name (for example, the file name is pdf.asp?id=12345 but the server is sending the name Annual Report.pdf in the headers sent with the file). I'm not aware of a workaround for the user, but for what it's worth, it is easy to fix on the server by replacing the spaces with %20 (the standard substitution used in web addresses).

How do I get the file name to print up closer to a horizontal photo?

Kind of a nit-picking question, but here goes anyway:
I use Lightroom's Print module to create contact sheets (three rows by three columns). I check the "Photo Info" check box and select "Filename" to have the file names printed with each photo. When the photo is shot vertically, the file name prints at the lower edge of the photo, as you would expect. However, when the photo is shot horizontally, the file name still prints down in the same place where it would print if the photo were vertical. That can be confusing because if the next photo down on the sheet is vertical, a file name can end up being much closer to the vertical photo below it--to which it is completely unrelated--than to the horizontal photo above it, to which it actually refers.
Is there any way to get Lightroom to print file names closer to horizontal photos?

Thanks to both of you for your speedy responses. Making all the shots horizontal or vertical (i. e., unchecking the "Rotate to Fit" box on the right) is not what I want. Increasing the vertical spacing is a possibility, but that'll make the vertical shots smaller. There's a program called "ImageBuddy" which does exactly what I want LIghtroom to do in this instance: print the filenames of only the horizontal shots higher and therefore closer to the photos to which they refer. It's quite cheap, but I'd rather not use Lightroom for everything else and ImageBuddy just for contact sheets, so if anybody knows of a way to do what I want to do within Lightroom, please do clue me in.
