How do i stop the iOS 6.1 update?

Everytime I connect to my WiFi and my computer at home or anywhere else my iPod starts downloading the new iOS 6.1 update.I don't want to update because i'm waiting for iOS 6.1.1 update.How do i stop the update?

Theres a few answers i found that could possibly work (im not sure which one actually will because i dont care if mine updates). I also posted the link i found them at incase you want to go on that thread and just read through everything incase i missed something but i dont think that i did.

I want nothing to do with it, and there is NO WAY Apple is taking my Google Maps or YouTube."

Tap the home button and close the multi-task bar. Reset the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if you see the same behavior. If you do, the next step to restore from a backup. If that doesn't help, then restore as a new device. If you have to go all the way through restore as a new device and it does not work, then it could be a hardware issue. I've not seen any other posts about screen issues after updates, so one of these should fix it unless there is a problem with the screen.

Because mass delete does not work anymore,
"Mass delete" still works in the Trash folder and has NEVER been available in any version of the iOS for the Inbox or any other mail folder.
I tried to use imap ( does not work ).
Not clear what you mean by that, but IMAP mail works the same way as iOS 1 - 6.

When battery isues exist, it's almost always the way we use the software.
Have you tried the things recommended here: http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html
Pay special attention to the Wi-Fi vs Celluar thing. And the background app refresh. And location services.
Also, try a reset of your network settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and go from there.
Instead of blaming the software, it's wisest to work on the issues that present themselves.
And killhippie is 60000% correct. Downgrading is very, very not good. Luckly, Apple doesn't support that.

I downloaded the new Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, but they're horrible so I deleted them. Now they keep trying to update my old iWorks. I don't want them they are horrible!!! Luckily it had stopped trying to upgrade overnight, but your suggestion definitely helped. I checked in the System Preferences and, sure enough, I had the auto-upgrade checked for regular programs but not apps. So, it was doing what I told it, even though it wasn't what I wanted! I am very thankful that I get to stay with my Pages 4 for now. I love my Mac because it has always been so intuitive, searching for what I needed was fairly easy. Unfortunately, some of the new upgrades of late don't fit that bill. Pages 5 has some work to be done before I will feel comfortable switching. Thank you for your help!
Now, any idea why my Calendar has frozen with the message "Moving calendars to server account..." ever since I downloaded Maverick? You can't upgrade a 3G to iOS 5. Only 3GS and newer support iOS 5.

I uninstalled the awful FF 8.01 and do not want it until it is perfected. I'll decide when I want to update so I have automatic update disabled.

Ah ok that all makes sense. You are correct that would turn off Find my iPhone. Based off the additional info you provided, it seems to me that the password needs to be updated. What I recommend doing next is entering the password when it prompts you to. If the password is incorrect in the settings then Find my iPhone may not be able to find the phone because it does not have the password authenticated.
Then you can turn off any iCloud features you choose not to use with this article and leave only Find my iPhone enabled.

There are times when I am streaming video, and do not want pop up messages showing on the screen. I do not like pop ups. There seems to be no way to turn off Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox update messages from popping up on the screen. If I could turn the pop ups off, i would. I am running Windows XP - Pro.

Download and install MS Autoruns:

Before you run Autoruns, in explorer, get properties on the chm help file and click the Unblock button if visible.
Otherwise you may be unable to use the help file.
Now run Autoruns. Find all likely references to Thinkvantage Toolbox (PC Doctor) and disable (uncheck checkbox).
You don't have to remove the references, just disable them. You can re-enable them later if you like.
Save and restart computer. Poof! No more Thinkvantage Toolbox popups. You will now need to run it manually.

Here the way to do it, for both, or for only one Go into your settings, Messages and turn on iMessage. It will then send messages that are iMessages to both your iPad and iPhone. You can also turn off this feature on the iPad if you do not want to receive messages on the iPad.

How can I stop the auto play feature automatically playing/streaming the next podcast?

Hi there.
I listened to podcast there were two things I found that helped me out. Both we're in the podcast app itself.
Firstly change the default sorting order. When looking at the list off episodes a available on your ios device tap on the description part at the top, this will bring up the settings for that podcast (subscribe mark as played etc) scroll to the Bottom and select oldest first. This will mean that if you are listening to the latest download it will stop at the end as there will be no more to play.
Secondly, and useful if listening to older podcasts in the list, you can use the timer to stop once the current episode has ended. To do this when you are in the podcast playback screen slide the "album artwork" up, revealing the playback options and nifty tape playing animation this is where you adjust playback speed and set a timer. The timer has a number of options to set playback to stop after set amount of time. However one of these options is to stop once the current episode you are listening to ends. This can also be current chapter if the podcast you are listening to supports chapters.
