How do I swap an image in one cell by clicking a link in another?

In a website I'm designing I have typed a "+" in one table cell. Next to that cell is another cell containing a jpg. I want the viewer to be able to click on the "+" and have the image in the other cell change to another image. I have several stacked, side-by-side cells I'd like to apply this technique to. For some paired cells I may only want to swap out 1 other image, but other paired cells might have 3 or 4 images I'd like the viewer to view by additional clicks on the +.

Thank you for that correction, Hobotor. I admit I hadn't thought about an image map, in the context of someone who doesn't seem to know HTML very well... My thinking was running along the use of the Photoshop Slice Tool to get most of the way there...
To expand on the above, if you were to slice up your image using the Slice Tool, say like this:
Save for Web & Devices will create the HTML and save all the sub-images.
Then you edit the HTML and add a (hypertext link) elements surrounding the various images. Only thing is you'll have to set the border-style of the images to none.
For example:

You can right-click the image and use "Save Image As" to save that image.

I'm sure this is something that's been covered in another post (or even in the help portal) but I think my wording in my search terms are not correct or... I don't know, because I just can't find what I'm looking for.
I want to know how to add multiple images into one file/one image, both horizontally and/or vertically. To give you an idea of what I mean, check out :

How do you swap an image in the timeline but keep the in/out points and opacity settings?

We have a file which consists of a bunch of still images that get updated each year - the edits never change.
Is there an edit type that will allow us to swap the images our for new ones but keep the in/lout points and opacity changes? We've looked at all the edit types (overwrite, insert etc) but they don't seem to swap stuff out.
We had also been naming the new files the same as the old ones and reconnecting the media but this is now causing issues.
Any help or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Click on the new image in the browser, so that it is selected, and the type Command + C to copy it.
Next, click on the clip in the timeline that you want to replace with the image you just copied (preserving your in and out points and opacity settings) and type Option + V to bring up the Paste Attributes Dialog Box.
In the Paste Attributes Dialog box, check the box for Contents and leave the remainder of options unchecked.
Uncheck the Scale Attribute Times option as well.
Click OK, and the image should now be replaced on the timeline with the in/out and opacity changes preserved.

The phone can only display one image in it's display area at a time. However, you can programmatically combine two images into one and send the one to the phone. In Java this is a relatively simple thing to do. In fact, I did it with my screen saver (idle timeout) app that displays weather info as a single image. It gets an icon and other text info and creates a single image, assembled from the icon and the text, and sends it to the phone. Are you a Java coder?

How do I copy an image from one Keynote presentation to another one?

I have a previously saved presentation on Keynote in iCloud. I created it from my desktop at work. Some of the images I used for the presentation I want to use again in another presentation, onlh this time I am working off my laptop and don't have the same access to those images. Is it possible to copy/paste images from one Keynote presentation into another? I can't even seem to click on the image and save it.
Any suggestions?

Clicking and dragging does not work.
Click on the image and Copy and Paste
or
Inspector > Metrics > File Info > click on the icon of the file and drag it to your desktop
You can then drag that file back in wherever you want.

For a mouseover you would have to add some custom developed JavaScript. You could probably find some pre-made on the web if you poked around.
Generally speaking, any way you slice it you will be using two images. One for the thumbnail and one for the full sized image. You could employ the popup functionalty to pop up the larger image.
I used to simply create DHTML drop-downs and insert the large images in the drop-down area.

How can I draw an image when the mouse is clicked

I am trying to draw X's and O's for a tic-tac-toe board and I cannot conceptualize how to get the X or O to appear if the mouse is pressed on an individual [row][col].
Im using the MouseListener with a mouseAdapter as an inner class of paintComponent. Using the mousePressed method I want to draw the X or O when one square detects a mousepress
How can I get the image on the partiuclar square. Im stumped presently. Any help is appreciated

How can I insert an image into a cell in Numbers for iPad?

Hi,
is there any way to insert an image inside a cell using Numbers for iPad? I tried doing it on desktop version and it works, then I shared it through iwork.com and downloaded into my iPad and it's showing fine on the iPad ( although there's no way to edit or change the image inside the cell ) but when I try to do the same task on iPad itself, the image always comes floating even if I place the cursor inside a cell before inserting.
any idea how to do it or if it's even possible?

Images can be added to cells only as "image fill." Cell fill is an attribute of the cell, not content of the cell. Only cell content can be retrieved by a formula or by copying the content of the cell.
Copying the cell will also copy its format, including the image fill, but I've found no way to extract the image from the cell.

How do I run a video in one cell of a table when a user clicks a button in another cell?

In other words, I want to put 3 buttons in one cell of a table so that the user can run one of three Flash videos in a cell beside the buttons. How do I do that?

You will have better luck if you find a Flash Player that uses a playlist. Direct links to FLV files don't work.

I need to change the colours of the cells in a table. The problem is that when I try to change the colour of a one cell the colour of entire column is changed. See the way that I tried to use.
