How do I swap cell phone numbers on family account

How do you exchange phone (s) within a family account? Example - I take my daughters 5c phone and switch my number to it, she takes my old 4s phone and switches here number to it?

You need to get new SIM cards from your carrier. You can't just swap them because the 4s and 5c use different size cards.

  • How do I take cell phone numbers off of my iCloud account.

I have all of my devices under the same accounts, both itunes and icloud.  I originally used the smae itunes account on all my family member devices so that we could share all of our purchases.  And the same cloud account so that we can share calanders and photostream(which has been very useful). But now Im finding out that I can select my wifes or daughters phone number and receive their imessages on my phone, or my ipad, air etc...  I dont want to be tempted to read their messages and I certainly dont want them reading mine.  Is there any way to manage my icloud addresses and pull our cellular numbers off the list so that no one can read each others messages.  Ive been reading many similar posts on this forum but am surprised to find that no one else has the same problem.

iMessage is separate from your iCloud account and does not use or even require an iCloud account.  To avoid getting each others text messages, just have everyone use a different Apple ID for iMessage (it doesn't need to be the same as thier iCloud ID).  Have your other family members go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive on their devices, tap the ID, sign out, then sign in with separate IDs to keep everyone's text messages separated.  To avoid getting each other's FaceTime calls, have them do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

  • Swapping Cell Phone Numbers Between Two Phones...

I hope someone can answer this question before I got ahead and order my iPhone 4 on the 10th.
Ok...right now I have my Incredible. I am adding the Family Share Plan in which I'm adding a second line to get the iPhone 4 for $299. My question is once I get the new iPhone 4 with the new number can I TRANSFER numbers where my original number I have NOW can be ported to the iPhone 4 and the NEW number goes back to the Incredible. Is that possible??? Thanks.

Yes you can swap the numbers once you get it. You can do it online, via #228 or a call to Customer Service.

  • How do I get my phone numbers from my IPhone 4 to IPhone 4S

how do I get my phone numbers from my IPhone 4 to my new IPhone 4S?

Contacts are designed to be synced with a supported address book app on your computer, or over the air with an email account that supports it. Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for contacts which can be lost or stolen or damaged beyond repair by being dropped, etc.
If you are syncing contacts with a supported address book app on your computer, you select the same under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
If you are syncing contacts over the air with an email account that supports it, create the account with the Mail app on your new iPhone and turn Contacts on for over the air syncing with the account settings on the iPhone.
Contacts are included with the iPhone's backup. If your iPhone is being backed up with iTunes on your computer, the first time you connect a new iPhone to iTunes on a computer being synced with another iPhone, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or set up the new iPhone as a new iPhone.

How can I get the phone numbers in contacts to appear with dashes between the first 3 numbers, the next 3 numbers, and the last 4 numbers?  Until very recently
it did so.  Contacts on my macbook pro does show up this way.  I do have a mobile me account and in the past syncing was no problem.  What setting has changed?

The phone number format as well as the date language and format and the time format are controlled by the Region Format setting. Go to Settings > General >International > Region Format.  When you change a region format, you can go back one page (to International) and see an example of the date/time/phone number format that your selected region format will produce.

  • How do i lock cells in numbers

How do I lock cells in Numbers?  I'm trying to create a spread sheet that will have unused cells and I want to lock them so my associates don't accidentally fill them in and cause the finished product to look muddled.

    Wayne,
I previously could lock tables in my Numbers tables in my Spreadsheets by tapping the top left corner and it would show up as an option to lock it. As of Numbers 2.0 (noticed today), I get the option to unlock tables, but not to relock them after making the corrections.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

  • How do I split cells in Numbers 3.2?

How do I split cells in Numbers 3.2?

    Hey big one,
I don't believe you can split cells in Numbers 3.2. It has not been not considered a good practice because it can lead to trouble down the line. This is true about merging also. I used to do a lot of that in '09. What I have found that I can generally get the looks I am after (getting text to span multiple columns for instance) by turning off "wrap text in cell" and playing with the justification.
Hope this is in some way helpful.

  • Why are the Cell Phone numbers that show up on my statement not the numbers I am Texting to?

This has to do with texting only.  Lately I have noticed that a lot of the cell phone numbers we are texting to and from do not show up on the statement.  What shows up is a series of random numbers.  Why is this happening???

Re Text messaging.  I have noticed that a lot of the phone numbers are not phone numbers but just a random set of numbers.  0000265060, 0032665115, 0000032665, 0032665114.  These are people my son is texting to and receiving texts from.  Does this mean the person has a blocked phone number???

MY wife has an Iphone 4  and I have a 5. To date we have used one apple account to manage music purchases/library. I updated ny phone to the new OS version and all her texting is showing up on my phone.  I understand if i create an apple account for her I will not see her texts. Recently we bought a Mac and created a new apple account for her. How do I synched her phone with new apple account and get access to the music library under my account on the new MAC laptop  before I update her phone to the new OS?
Going forward if I purchase music under my apple id and want her to have it on her device, how can I acheive that?

You can continue to share an Apple ID for purchases.
Sign her in to her new account here:
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (Keep on Phone if you want to transfer contacts, calendars, etc...) then sign in with her new ID
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID > Sign out then in with new
Settings > FaceTime > Apple ID > Sign out then in with new
Use the same Apple ID here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID

  • How do I back up phone numbers from Nokia 6350 bef...

I got so tired of my buggy Nokia 6350 that I went to my service provider's website (AT&T) and bought an iPhone 3GS. When it arrived I read the instructions, found some confusing directions there and am in the process of asking for clarifications in the AT&T discussion forum.
The reason I'm posting here is that my brother, who works at a cell phone call center, advised me to back up all my phone numbers from the Nokia before attempting this flip phone to smart phone transition. I have a USB cord that connects the Nokia to my PC, but Windows XP tries to "install the new hardware" and looks for a CD. I never got a CD with the Nokia. And I can't use the Ovi suite because -- just my luck -- the 6350 is one of the minority of phones not compatible with the Ovi suite.
How do I back up all phone numbers before I attempt to copy them to the iPhone 3GS?  I'm very frustrated..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Download the pc suite instead of ovi suite. U'll find it under the support page of ur phone on Nokia's site
Please mark the post as solution if it solves your problem.

  • How do I sort my phone numbers inside a contact? (using custom labels)

Alright, since I've converted to iCloud, I'm now adding new contacts in there. However... before I was adding phone numbers through Address Book on my Macbook (that ended up creating a conflict with iCloud so I'm now using iCloud). What I want to know is... in address book you can set up a "default template" for your contacts (to include spouses, children, multiple addresses, phone numbers etc) I have created several labels for phone numbers, so I know which carrier they are since most of my contacts have 2-4 cell phones (all different carriers). Anyways, in address book I have for example ATT as the primary one on the list and then example: Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile & last the home phone). I have it set in that way, so even if someone only has ATT & Sprint, ATT will be at the top. Since I switched to iCloud (the carriers are all jumbled around in the contact and the reason I had placed them in a specific order is because I have one or two of those first carriers). Please let me know if you know how to change this in iCloud? Thanks!!!

    Fair enough.
I started doing this before unlimited data and emails on phones was a common commodity, on my Samsung Blackjack.
I then continued it due to its convenience. My only counter argument is this:
Even when emails are set to immediately push, I am always notified earlier by this forwarding message (sometimes by several minutes/hours due to the fact that it is not dependent on my being connected to 4G or wifi to receive it.
Also, to contradict snozdop's point that both methods use data and battery, I say this - when I use the forwarding method, the information comes in a pure text format and therefore uses considerably less information than an HTML and CSS rich email, with embedded images and such -also, unlimited text messages aids curve costs.
I will, however, give this method a go. In any case, a solution to my original question would still be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks guys.

  • How do I add multiple phone numbers at once to a contact? Is there any software able to do this, which I can import to iCloud?

I have my email forwarded to my cell phone via message to [[email protected]].
I do this for the reason that having my emails fetched constantly is a heavy burden on the battery.
This works perfectly, except for the fact that the emails come from a different number every time.
The numbers change by 3 digits from 001-999. (1-210-100-###)
I can write these numbers easily using something like excel to write the consecutive numbers, and not have to write one by one, but I would like to import these easily to my contact under "Email" for several reasons.
    1. SMS tone to be consistant
    2. Easy identification
    3. Easy deletion
    4. Message grouping
There are probably more benefits, however I cannot think of any at this very moment.
I want to basically write them all in to the contact to make the identity seamless.
I've tried to do so with
-Gmail - one number entry at a time
-Editing the .abbu file using text editor - Cannot find the phone number location to copy and emulate
    POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Editing the contact using excel - I downloaded "Addressbook2CSV Exporter" and managed to get the contact information in an editable form.
I got the contact info which looks like
    [,Other","","","1210100001 ::: 1210100002","","","","","","","","Generic","","","","","","","","","","",]
MEANING, if I can manage to merge the 999 numbers into one line of text, and add them to the numbers separated by "{space}:::{space}"
then I have my solution right there. This may have turned from an iCloud question to an excel question.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
