Syetm Preferences > Startup Disk. That sets the "default"
Press the "option" key at startup to have the all options each time.

Hello all,
This is not a problem with a @me account (which I don't have), but just I actually have to Apple IDs: one on the French store, associated with a credit card and that I use the most, the other one on the Korean store, with no credit card, and that I use only for the apps I cannot get through the French one.
After the latest update for Lion on my Mac, it asked me to sign in for iCloud, which I did using my French account. The same thing happened after updating to iOS5 on my iPhone: I chose the French account when prompted with the question.
But for some reason, I now have 2 accounts in "Mail, Contacts and Calendar" on the iPhone (not on the Mac): the first on the list (and which is considered the main one by the phone) is the Korean one (why??), with all the settings turned of except "Find my iPhone". The second one is the one I just set up with my French ID, and this one has a few options turned on, but is missing Photo Stream, Documents and BackUp, as it says this is only available for my main account.
How do I switch these two accounts? I tried to click on "delete the account" at the bottom of the page for the one that is considered as the main by the phone (Korean ID), so that I can sign in again with the real main ID (French one), but then it tells me that everything that has been stored on the cloud will be removed from the phone… So I am not too sure about what to do. I guess "deleting" the Korean one won't change much because all the options are turned off. But then what happens with the other account? Will it automatically become the main one and get the options that were missing? Do I have to sign in again on the same page with the proper address?

From what it sounds like, you are pretty new to making websites and managing where the files get put for hosting. All hosts are somewhat different. I use Godaddy for hosting for the most part.
To be sure you are doing the right thing, you need to ensure the following are in order:
- Your domain namesneed to point to the right place on your hosting account
If your domain names are not pointing to your hosting account with the right DNS settings, they will not display properly when you go to your website name in your web browser.
- Your FTP settings need to be set correctly
If you have a shared hosting space to host multiple websites, you will need to be sure that you are uploading the files for each website into the right folders. Your folders on your hard drive that contain your websites should pretty much be set up the same way as you are uploading them onto your hosting account.
For convenience purposes, I have my domain name registration and hosting account through Godaddy. This helps to keep things simple enough that I can call them 24/7 to give me assistance when I need help configuring settings like this.

How do you switch hard disks, one is full, the other is blank ?
If I understand your question correctly, there is really no need to switch startup disk.
You can just move the larger files, say music or photos from the system disk over to the disk drive that is blank now. OS X will then work with both disk drive at the same time. It will get the system and application data from the system disk drive and the music or photo data from the disk drive that is currently blank.
The only thing you will have to do is tell the application where you moved the data files to so that it can find them when it needs them.

How to share non-startup drive?
We have a Mac Pro first-gen Intel machine with several hard drives inside. I can't find a way to share any of the drives and access them from another computer other than the startup disk. I believe I have them set up correctly in SysPrefs / Sharing because I can access the Mac Pro HD on my Mac mini.
I've googled this and searched here in the forums and can't find a solution. Can anyone help?
Both this machine and the one I want to access it on run 10.6.8.You do not need Admin access, but you do need
a. Either an account on the Server, or,
b. The Server should have Guest enabled, so anyone can connect to it and see the drives as well.
The Editor account has connected to the MacPro, and saved the credentials in Keychain on the Mac mini, so any future connections allow seamless connectivity without requiring passwords. If you change the password for the Editor account, the MacPro should prompt you for authentication.
On the MacPro, you can right-click on the disk or folder on either disk, and allow/disallow specific permissions. Please see Get Info -> Sharing and Permissions. -

It's much easier for the 2009/earlier minis with the white plastic top, rather than the latest all-in-one 2010 model. Which do you have?
The "only" difficult part is getting the cover off in the first place. Make sure you run your newly modified mini with the top OFF for a few days to ensure all is well before replacing it. This saves having to get the top off again! (A common error is to forget to replace the small black fan temperature sensor cable, which means the fan runs at full speed when you start it up again.) -

How to install system 9.1 on second drive of a G4 while running OS 10.5.8 on primary drive
I am Using a G4 OS 10.5.8, trying to install system 9.1 on an erased/reformated disk with system 9 drivers option selected. Can't boot with a 9.1 install disk by holding C key on startup. When booted with sys 10.5.8 attempting to install sys 9 on the reformatted drive yields error "classic functions are no longer supported" no luck just copying the software from the install disk, even though the drive shows up as an available startup drive, it never gets a spinning wheel during startup attempts.
Thinking about reinstalling the original powermac G4 software (there are other partitions or drives available) but trying the path of least resistance first.
Totally open to suggestionsSince you are running OS X 10.5 (Leopard) on that machine, unless you used one of the unsupported install methods your G4 has a processor that is 867MHz or faster (that's one of the requirements for Leopard).
Assuming that is the case, you will never be able to boot the machine to OS 9.1, or to any retail OS 9 Install CD.
The first G4 which met the 867MHz requirement was the QuickSilver '02 model (only the mid and upper speed units); all G4 MDD models meet that requirement.
All of the preceding which are OS 9 bootable (the G4 MDD FW800 model is not OS 9 bootable) can use only the model-specific version of OS 9.2.2 which shipped with them as a bootable OS 9.
The QS '02 models used a stand-alone OS 9.2.2 Install CD, labelled Software Install. Installation of OS 9.2.2 using that is straight-forward - boot the machine to the Software Install CD, and install OS 9.2.2 on the second drive.
The MDD models are a bit different. They came with a combination installer disk, one which booted to OS X but which was capable of also installing OS 9.2.2 (Classic, I think it is referred to in the installer's jargon).
Unfortunately, the installer on those disks seems to have a restriction - it will install OS 9 (Classic) only onto a volume which already has OS X installed on it. So, how to get OS 9-only on the second drive? Two ways -
A) Install OS 9 (Classic) onto the main drive, then copy it via drag-and-drop onto the second volume. Once placed there and tested for booting, remove the install of it placed on the original drive. Be sure to copy the folders named System Folder, Applications (Mac OS 9), and Documents; if there is a free-standing folder named Utilities, copy that too (it often is placed into the Applications (Mac OS 9) folder).
Possible issues -
* since the OS X on the original drive is Leopard, a substantly newer version that that on the OEM disk set, the installer on that disk set may balk at doing this.
• aliases will be broken by copying the system and support files to the second drive. This can include an alias to Sherlock in the Apple Menu Items folder in System Folder and perhaps one or more in the Application Support folder in System Folder. Alises can be repaired - do a Get Info on an alias, and the Get Info window will display a button which can be used to reconnect the alias to the appropriate original.
B) Install OS X (the version on the original install CD set) onto the second drive. Then install OS 9 (Classic) onto that drive. Once it has been tested for booting, throw away the OS X system and files from that drive.
Possible issue - deleting OS X can leave behind some invisible files. Unless you are very short on disk space, these should present no problem and can be ignored - OS 9 will not (can not) attempt to use them. -

Yes, the partition has to be bootable to be used as a startup partition. You would need to install OSX on the partition.

How to keep an internal drive from being mounted on startup?
Other than opening the box and disconnecting them physically, how do I keep an internal drive from being mounted at startup? I have two problems:
1) despite having an SSD drive marked as the startup drive, I think one of my other drives is being considered first - startup takes a long time and it shows the gray circle with a line through it, before acquiescing into booting (rapidly and nicely) from the SSD drive. How do I make it ignore the other drives and go right for this?
2) when the system boots up, if I don't immediately dismount the internal drives (which I don't need most of the time), Time Machine and Spotlight begin going over them.
other than physically removing them, anything I can do in some OS X boot script to keep those drives from being mounted?Ok, I followed your directions (including de-seleccting and re-selecting the SSD as boot disk from System Preferences). Console: there was nothing under System Diagnostic Reports, but here's what the All Messages logs said after the Boot_Time that demonstrated my issue (3 min wait, then gray circle with a line through it, then finally rapid boot off the SSD). Is there anything here that shows what the heck it's doing before it actually boots off the SSD?

I want to order a second copy of an existing iPhoto book. Though created in the smaller format now only the larger format is showing. How can I switch an existing iPhoto book back to the smaller format?
To change a book size duplicate it (select the book in the source pane and press command and D) since text flow and picture placements can change due to the size differences - then click on change themes, select the same theme and the new size

My DVD Player in my MabBook Pro, System 10.8.2, has stopped accepting discs and is no longer recognized by the DVD driver. I purchased an external Blue-ray Disc player/writer. It is a Samsung. I downloaded their driver so the drive shows up on my desktop. But how do I switch the DVD player over from my internal to my external drive?
In addition to RRFS's advice, please post in the correct forum. This forum is for iMac's, you mentioned you have a MacBook Pro. They're similar but still pretty different hardware.

The USB port your Mac is high powered. The port on the AirPort Extreme is not.
So, it tends to be borderline as far as its ability to supply sufficient power to a hard drive...even if the hard drive has its own power supply.
Often, users...including me....need to use a powered USB hub when they attach any drive to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme.
You might want to give that a try. Double check to make sure that the drive is formatted in FAT32 as well, since Windows NTFS or exFAT will not work with the AirPort Extreme.
Powering down and restarting the entire network.....modem first, then router, etc.....is something that you would always want to do after any change or addition to a network.
