How do I switch to CC version for new features?

When I subscribed to CC for Photographers, I already had a "box" LR 5 installed and licensed with a serial number. All subsequent upgrades have continued to use this license.
But now I find that I am missing out on new LR 5.5 features, which do not appear in my version. How can I get my computer to forget that I ever had a serial number and to use my CC account instead to install and run LR 5.5?

Ah - I guess I mis-read the description of the changes. When I read that these features are available to subscribers, then perhaps that is technically "true" - but only through the PS "Camera Raw" filter - not in the obvious way though LR. Nowadays I spend far more of my time in LR than in PS, but I guess this might be a case when I need to use PS.
So thanks - I do not need to replace my LightRoom installation after all, and can continue upgrading as I have been doing.

I'm probably being a bit stupid here, but I can't find anything in the N8 online manual! How do you switch on delivery reports for when you send text messages, to see if someone has A) recieved your text, and if possible B) read it!

Delivery reports are a network feature so it's not surprising that Nokia could not help you with them.
If they stay pending then it's likely that you are on a network that doesn't support them or the service isn't enabled on your account (for example you are on a network that charges for delivery reports).
If your network does not support them all you can do is disable the feature and delete the pending reports. If deleivery reports are essential to you then you'll need to switch to a network that does support them.

Thanks for that suggestion - could not get it to work. However, I did manage a different approach. I finally determined the sequence of events in terms of how the various events and listeners fire (I think).
Basically, the CalendarActivityListener fires, followed by the listener associated with the Calendar object's Create facet, followed finally by the CalendarEventListener - the final is where the TriggerEvent is available and then finally, control is passed to the popup/dialog in the Create facet. So, my approach of trying to set/get the TriggerDate in the user's HTTP session was doomed to failure because it was being get before it had been set :(
Anyway, I ended up adding a bit of code to the CalendarEvent listener - it grabs the current BindingContext, navigates through the DCBindingContainer to derive an Iterator for the ViewObject which drives the calendar and then grabs the currently active row. I then do a few tests to make sure we're working with a "new" row because I don't want to alter start & end dates associated with an existing calendar entry and then I define the Start and End dates to be the Trigger Date.
Works just fine. Snippet from the listener follows

Usually the most efficient way of selecting a stable version of IOS/CatOS is to take a look through the release notes at the caveats section and verify if there are any issues that would affect your network directly. In addition, working with your local SE is a good idea, as they can offer you their design advice. So if you download the trial from the trial page at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop you get Photoshop CS6 Extended. When you then remove the trial and reinstall from the Adobe Application Manager with your trial Creative Cloud you only see the Standard version?
If this is so you can try reviewing your installation logs by following the steps listed in Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html. Although your 30 day trial has already begun. I would recommend for now you just remove the installation and install from the trial page so that you can try the extended features.

How are you tracking deployed software versions for traceability?

I am curious how others are tracking deployed software versions in automated test environments.
I am working on a medical device tester and we have a somewhat inefficient method for keeping track of all version numbers. I would like to know what tools are available to automate tracking version throughout a project, from build to viewing later. Or, what methods are typical in this type of environment.
Essentially, we need to be able to say at any given moment what software version is running at 3 remote locations on several deployed systems.
For simply automating the process of viewing the version number programmatically, I found this, but we've had issues with it:

This solution requires a "separate" installer to get the .NET framework onto the target PC. Also, it doesn't work (to my knowledge) with the Help>>About window.

Thanks for replying. We are using SVN. The exact ECO process for this project is under construction as it is a relatively new project and deployments will be at our customer's site. We use JIRA for tracking specific change requests.
Here's an example of our basic process:
- Software changes made (according to JIRA tasks) and source code checked in
- Builds released per schedule with version numbers (from JIRA projects) hard-coded into the application
- Builds deployed at different locations & times
Here's what I'd like to see to improve things:
- Builds released with version numbers generated from one of the following:
   1. Loaded from JIRA release numbers - maybe auto-generated for reference by LabVIEW when building the application
   2. Part of a custom build launcher
         >> This would be a custom interface that runs functions like those in Application Builder palette while also sending version info
         >> Perhaps it could prompt the user for version info or read from something auto-generated.
- Builds should automatically make version numbers visible within the application (for example, LabVIEW has the Help>>About window)
- Build numbers should be programmatically/dynamically accessible without having to install an additional .NET framework that isn't listed in 'Additional Installers'
Curious if there are any tools that support these kinds of things. I am aware of Deploy by Wirebird Labs and Proligent by Averna, although I am lacking in knowledge about specific features.

As of Firefox 4.0 and newer one needs at least OSX 10.5+ and Intel hardware.
The latest you can use on your Intel with OSX 10.4.11 is Firefox 3.6.25 (released recently) which can be found at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
If you were to update to say OSX 10.5.8 then you can use Firefox 9.0.1

How do I turn off the Genius for iPad App Store. Its recomendations are very poor.

I don't believe there's a way to "turn it off", per se. Can you not just not tap the Genius button? Unless I'm missing something, that's the only way you see Genius recommendations in the iPad's App Store app.
BTW, questions about the iPad will generally get the quickest and most applicable responses if posted in the iPad forums.

I recently downloaded the new version iOS5 for iPad unknowinlgy that it would not support the lyrics function in the new fangled and utterly useless 'Music'. This had made my professional work as a gigging musician ****! All my lyrics and playlists have vanished. I put out anadvert inviting to swop my iPad with soemone who has anearlier version; no luck as yet. I now want to get a hold of the 4 version for iPad. Is this possible? There is no way to 'downgrade' any device. About the only way you can get OS 4.0 would be to find a store with older stock and find one still on the shelves. But the boxes aren't labeled so....kinda a lucky draw kinda thing.

Depends on what you want to change it for:
For purchasing from the iTunes and app stores, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the Apple ID, sign out, then sign back in with the alternate ID. (Note: previous purchases are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them so when you update your old apps, for example, you will still be prompted for the password for your old ID even if you aren't using it anymore.)
For iMessage, do the same thing in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive.
For FaceTime, do this in Settings>FaceTime.
For iCloud, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using the other ID, then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
