How do I switch to the US store on IPAD

I was trying to find an app for the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) and the App Store automatically switched me to the Canadian Store. Now it will not allow me to do updates because it says that my account is not valid in the Canadian Store and I must switch to the U.S. Store to continue. How do I switch to the U.S. Store?

Open the App Store. Scroll all the way down on the "Featured" tab to your Apple ID button. Click it and then click "View Account". Sign in, and then click the "Country/Region" button there and set it.

How do I switch to the canadian store on my app store account?

I tried to update three (free) apps from the app store on my iPhone 4s. Every time I try to do so, I keep getting a pop-up message that says:
"Account Not In This Store"
"Your account is not valid for use in the U.S. store. You must switch to the Canadian store before purchasing"
Does anyone know how I could fix this? Some suggestions/tips would be so helpful. Thank you!

Looks like iOS6 caused it. Here's a solution for the same.

I am constantly getting a message while in the apps store that states:
Account Not In This Store
Your account is not valid for use in the BE store.
You must switch to the U.S. store before purchasing.
This is happening on a bunch of apps I am trying to update.

My account has been a US account for the last four years since I moved to Belgium. It has been working fine in Belgium up until the 22nd of January, 2013. On January 22nd, the apps store no longer takes me to the US store and I can not find a way to switch it from the BE store where it has somehow ended up to the US store. I didn't even know that Belgian accounts where different and now I am going to be locked out of the apps (12 and growing) I purchased until I create a new BE account? Do I then I have to buy my apps new?

If I want to add or uncheck some music. etc.. Right now I have to close out itunes take off my iphone and plug it back in to get there. Kind of a pain. In other words when I am at the iphone console and click the store, I can not get back to the iphone console without closing and unplugging and plugging back in, real pain. Old itunes never had this problem.

Click Done in the same spot you clicked to got to the store. Another option is to press Ctrl+S to show that sidebar and then the device will be listed like iTunes 10

Follow this procedure:
1. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID.
2. Tap your Apple ID.
3. Tap View Apple ID.
4. Enter your password.

On you iPhone go to settings-iTunes & AppStore.
Tap user name, sign out.
Log back in with your apple ID and password.
That should fix the problem

Your Apple ID is tied to the US store. Log out of the store, then trying logging back in.
