How do i switch where my videos are?

When i uploaded my music video to my itunes..it automatically shows up under movies..how do i change it to go up under music video?

Elsewhere on the board, other, more senior members have posted that only music videos purchased from iTunes will automatically show up under the Music Videos menu list. Music videos purchased outside of iTunes, or converted from your own DVD / enhanced CD collection have to be manipulated a little.
For each music video file involved, in the File Info - Options tab, set "Kind" to "Music Video". This should move the video into the Music Videos category in iTunes. In the File Info - Info tab, enter the artist name in the "Artist" field. This should move the music video into the Music Videos playlist on your iPod the next time you connect it to iTunes & update. I've found that just doing the first step doesn't have any effect on the Music Videos playlist on the iPod; since the iPod lists files in the Music Videos playlist by artist name, my guess is that files with no artist name entered simply aren't listed. All's I know is, once I entered artist names for all my music videos, they showed up in the Music Videos playlist. One more thing tho-
I've found that if I try to play a shuffle of music videos on my iPod by selecting the Music Videos playlist - All, what I get is a shuffle of videos mixed with music files. I'm not sure, but it seems like the iPod is 'deciding' what files to include in the shuffle according to genre: if you have videos in genre "Rock", the iPod seems to also pull in all your "Rock" music files. I solved this one by creating a 'Music Vid' playlist keyed to the Genre field of the Info tab and entering a custom genre of "Music Video" in that field for all my music videos. Now when I want a shuffle of all my music videos, I use the playlist instead of the iPod's Music Videos - All menu option.

How do you know where your files are if you save them in the wrong place?

I have tons of video files for example.
I want to watch the video I downloaded off the net about airplanes.
I type in airplanes in spotlight, and many come up.
they are quicktime files.
but when I go to quicktime and try to delete by clicking on files, it does not
show me comprehensively where these files are stored.
Similarly, If i type in Geese, in spotlight, the same thing happens.
But geese, and airplanes are not near each other. Which brings me to wonder.
How many videos do I have stored in here anyway??
How do I find ALL my videos? And erase what I need to and store what I need to away in thier proper place?

Use the custom Find window, AKA "Smart Folder". See in the Finder menubar under the "File" menu the selection "New Smart Folder".
Typically files have an "extension", or a filename suffix that identifies what kind of file it is. Quicktime movies might have a ",mov" suffix, so type the suffix in the Smart Window search field or tell it to search "Kind" as "Movies".
When you get the window full of found files, select the ones you want to move and drag them to the "Movies" folder.

How can I tell where data downloads are coming from

I have an issue where 500 MB of data was downloaded automatically, I presume via push notifications. How can I check where this data hs come from?

How to see location where iphone video was taken on iphoto

I have videos and pictures downloaded on iphoto taken with my iphone. Can I see the location where they were taken in iphoto on my iMac? THX

In iPhoto you can see a map with your photos on it by clicking on the "Places" icon in the left panel.
If you want to see the location for a specific photo, find the photo in iPhoto, select it, and press comman-I (or mouse-over the lower right corner and click on the 'i' icon that appears). A panel will apear that shows the photo name, date it was take, and location.
One thing to keep in mind, the Photo app on the iPhone will only record the GPS location where the photo was taken if all of these is true: the iPhone has Location Services enabled (Settings > Location Services), the Location Services switch for Photo is set to on (Settings > Location Services) and the phone can determine its location (if you are in a cavern taking pictures, it's not going to be able to receive signals from the GPS satellites to figure out where it is).
If no GPS coordinates are recorded in the photo, you can use iPhoto to specify the location where the photo was taken after you import it from your camera.

Itunes can't find all my songs. how to tell iTunes where they all are

i had to re-install a new hard drive and i downloaded and installed iTunes. i have all my iTunes songs on another drive. i saved the itunes library file and now when i open iTunes it shows all my albums and songs but when i try to play them they won't play. if i double click on a song i can tell iTunes where the song is and it will play but i don't want to have to do that to every track. how can i tell iTunes where all my songs are? i tried to Add Folder to the library but it only gets so far and says that it doesn't have the room for all the songs or something like that. i don't want all that media on the c drive anyway. how can i get this to work? thanks

It comes up with a 1428 error message sometimes, and sometimes it says that I have to restore my iPod. I have restored it many times, but it just keeps going in a circle and will not sync my songs back to the iPod.
hmmmm. if you're relentlessly getting a recovery mode message, then you might be having a Windows drive letter confusion. see the following document for troubleshooting suggestions with that:
"iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode - Use iTunes to restore"

Oracle DB: How to parse XML where element names are non-standard ?

I'm in the unfortunate situation that I have illegal XML that I would like Oracle to parse. By 'illegal' in my case is that there are element names that start with an illegal character, such as a digit. Apart from this the XML is syntactically valid.
Here is an example of the XML I have stored as a column in the database:

    <1stweek>
    </1stweek>
    <2ndweek>
    </2ndweek>
</schedule>Right now I'm doing text search-and-replace on the XML text before I let Oracle parse it, for example replacing '<1stweek>' with '<x1stweek>' and so on. Needless to say this is very slow.
My question is if there is a way to tell the XML parser in the Oracle DB (I'm using version 10.2) to be a bit more forgiving ? ... so that it will accept element names that start with e.g. a digit ? I know that such an option exist in some XML parsers but what about Oracle's and if so how to set the option?
And before you ask I'll answer myself: No, I'm not the one who created the non-standard XML. It is from a third-party application which I cannot change myself and cannot get the vendor to change either.

if you cast your clob to an xmltype then you can search and extract values based on tags.

How can I change where my files are backed up to when changing to iOS 5?

I have a Windows PC with two hard drives, one being an SSD and another being a regular hard drive. I use the regular hard drive to store music, movies, media, all of that good stuff; I use the SSD to store the operating system and a few video games in order for better performance. My question is, why, when I try to change my iPod to iOS 5, does it automatically back up to my SSD (C:) drive? Is there any way that I can change the location to which my files are backed up? I have plenty of space on my second hard drive, but I can't find anywhere in iTunes where there is an option to change this.

Why am I seeing blocked plug-in where short videos are?

When I click on a video on Facebook a small box says Blocked Plug-in. I am unable to view the video. How can I change this?

If you can't install or update Flash, follow these instructions.
If you have installed the latest version of Flash, please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 8. Back up all data before making any changes.

How do I know where output devices are referenced?

When deleting an Output device using transaction SPAD, how do you where this output device was reference? E.g. Batch jobs, user default, etc. Ideally, I would like a program that can take an output device as an input and give me back everywhere the output device is reference within SAP.

I don't know and Ok, try RSPO0040 (better than nothing), but I really consider this challenge bordering on impossible in any non trivial scenario, if the whole output devices setup has not been thought through from get go (with logical output devices being "exposed" by spool system) and the changes being done under conditions of iron fist discipline... Not one of 5 productive instances I've worked on had a semblance of order in printer setup by the time I got there, not one had a concept, description, anything for printer setup... by the time I had to take care of the stuff I was happy if there was at least any naming convention used.
There are around 150 DB tables that have data element RSPOPNAME in it... more of tables if you consider other data elements for domain RSPOPNAME and who can say if it's only RSPOPNAME... Device names get assigned to SET/GET parameters, to custom development customizing tables not using RSPOPNAME, they get hard-coded in programs, stored in report variants - utter chaos is "normal" state of things in my experience . If you know what functionality is in use in the system (which SAP modules), you can narrow down, but asking for where used list of any reliability for whole SAP - impossible challenge.

How do I pick where a video is stored ??

What I mean is, I am trying to move some MP4 video files onto my Itunes. It works ok, but stores them under "TV SHow" rather than movies. I find I cant sync them to put them onto my IPOD classic unless they are in the Movies folder.
Probably a simple fix, but it has me beat for now.

How do I change where my contacts are saved when entered via the phone?

I use multiple e-mail accounts and do not like to sync all those with my phone. I prefer to save my phone contacts on the 'back-up assistant'. My new Droid is saving all of them to my hotmail account instead of the 'phone'. How do I change that?

I just discovered that all of my photos on iPhoto are gone. I have no idea of how it happened, or where the photos are. Can anyone help me to find them?

I do have most of the photos on my iPhone, but am scared that if I sync it w my Mac, which now has no iPhotos, it may erase the pictures from my phone, too.
