hi my niece got given a old ipod nano from her friends with music already uploaded to it. but i need to sync the ipod with my new account, however i dont want to lose the current music on the ipod as its good. is there anyway of syncing it to my account and not losing the already uploaded music thxs

What problems are you having ? You should be able to sync your content to it by connecting it to your computer and selecting it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (on iTunes11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC) and then using the tabs on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to sync your content to it

In terms of the page that you posted from for redownloading content, then what you can redownload with depend upon what country that you are in (not all content types can be redownloaded in all countries), and whether they are still in the store (content providers occasionally remove their items from sale). You may want to reset warnings on the device by right->clicking on it under Devices and choosing Reset Warnings. Then resync the iPod to see if any alerts appear.
Is this the same computer you normally sync the Nano with?

You don't. You synch your iPod to your computer. There's no way to synch from iPad to iPod. You can tranfer the same playlists to your iPod from the computer.

Sanmannyer, just what are you smoking? iTunes can sync non-iTunes purchased music to any iPod and iOS devices (iPod touch, iPhone and iPad) as long as it is not DRM protected.
