How do I sync all of my music on my recently added playlist?

I recently replaced a damage ipod touch and received a new/refurbished ipod touch from the apple store. I burned 2 cd's into my library, checked some songs that were in my library that I wanted to sync into my ipod touch, it only downloaded 33 songs out of 110 into my ipod. how do i get the rest of the music into the music (icon) part of my ipod?

Launch iTunes with the Option key held down, click on Choose Library, and specify it. If the external drive doesn't contain the iTunes database files, create a new library there and import that music.
If the library contains any rented movies, they won't play on a different computer.

The frustrating part about the restore is that is seems to be finished when it in fact is not. The restore will look "finish" and your phone will be at the Swipe to Unlock screen. If you swipe and look at your home screen at this point of the restore, you'll see everything is not quite right. While the process seems to be not doing anything just leave the phone attached and do something else for about an hour. This part of the process is not mentioned during the restore operation. I believe there are about two steps to the restore process: 1) restore the phone settings (ringtones, background, notification settings, etc.) and give the user the unlock screen; 2) without letting the user know there is still more to do, begin the slow process of restoring all the music, movies, apps and what not. It's this second step that causes the confusion. Nothing lets you know to wait that process out. I've restored a couple devices from a computer backup and the 2-step process looks the same.

It was tele tech. I couldn't open my Page Numbers etc. Frist tech chat idiot - following dumping few things in bin, asked me yo upgrade to Yosemite. But the problem still persists. This morning I was asked to do it via telephone and like yesterday, after wasting 20 min, I was put to this apparent Tech Queen ( my foot!). She eventually decided to reinstall Yosemite asked me to connect my external drive while I connected to her. She was moving cursor asking me to move files and delete and I followed her like a dummy. It took 3/4 hours and she called me 3 times once the lengthy process was completed. I suspected from the beginng for the fact that why should be asking me to click all my backup from the very beginning! Eventually she said I deleted... Or someone else or may be my children ! It was a blatant lie. I run my small business from home and I was simply staying in front of the Mac whole day! Children were at school. Then she said I must have used another computer! I only have laptop and the iPad. I will talk to their manager first thing in the morning. In the mean time please let me know as to how can I transfer photos, music etc back to my laptop from my Iphone and IPad .? I am will connect to laptop as I am worried the new BLANK iPhoto may supersede iphone/iPad stuff? Will it? Please let me know. I am not a very tech savvy person. Yes. You can sync everything that is currently on your iPod Touch to your newer one. Just plug it in and sync it like you did with the old one.

Connect the iPod and sync with iTunes the same way that you sync any iDevice with iTunes. If you are trying to transfer the music on the iPod into iTunes on the computer - connect the iPod to your computer and launch iTunes. Right click on the iPod name under the devices headings and select transfer purchases. That will transfer the purchase songs on your iPod into your iTunes library.

If the hard drive that crashed is the one that stored the itunes library, be sure to restore the library from Time Machine (mac) or whatever backup you use on windows. That will get back your music. I suspect that the replacement drive has an empty itunes library and thus, perhaps, the itunes match used that to sync to its servers.

iPad settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party party app along with app settings are included with the iPad's backup along with other data.
If you are syncing your iPad direct with iTunes on your computer via USB, the iPad's backup is updated as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
The first time you connect a new iPad or iOS device to iTunes that is used to sync with another iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iOS device to the new device. This is followed by a sync to transfer the same content from your computer that is on the old iPad to the new iPad such as music, movies, tv shows, 3rd party apps, photos, audio and print books, etc.

Was this music purchased from iTunes or ripped? I have had problems in the past when I changed Apple IDs, and the content purchased through my previous account would not sync. If memory serves, I think it was an issue to do with the Mac not being authorised to access my old account. Signing in with my old account and authorising it resolved it. Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
