How do I sync my iPhone with a new iTunes?

I got a new laptop and would like to sync my phone to it. I want to transfer my music from my phone onto my new iTunes. Is that possible? The laptop with my old iTunes broke so I can't transfer it from the old laptop to the new. I want to transfer my music from my phone onto my computer. I don't want to lose it all.

Up until a few days ago I was syncing my iPhone with my PC notebook. Long story short, the machine crashed and I had to re-install. luckily I had a backup of all of the music from my iTunes library which is now hosted on my Mac Mini, but I didn't have a copy of my apps (why iTunes keeps these files outside of the folder I kept my library in I don't know).
Now I'm syncing music and video with my Mac Mini, but when I select that I want to sync apps I get the message that everything on the phone will be deleted.. Is there a way to back up the apps so I can add them to the library and sync them back to the phone without losing them?

I had the same issue with a withdrawn app. Just copy all the .app files from the old directory to somewhere on the new machine, then drag them onto the Application menu item on the left hand side and iTunes will import them as long as you've already registered iTunes for the same account.
Job done! Worked a treat for me - including the app that wasn't available any more.....

Give this a try:
First, connect your phone to your MacBook and let it backup to save your data on your Mac. (How to back up)
Next, copy your iTunes library folder to your new iMac. The location: Macintosh HD/user/music/iTunes
Your applications can be downloaded again for free. Downloading past purchases.

I purchased an iPad last year and synced it with my iTunes library on my old PC laptop. Well, my PC laptop harddrive crashed last week and I cannot access anything on my laptop anymore. But now I've run into the nightmarish dilemma of not being able to sync my beloved Ipad with my new MAC without getting the warning that basically says "your iPad is already synced with another iTunes Library. You may only sync to one iTunes Library at a time. You will lose all your data if you sync to this new computer."
Can someone give me a straightfoward answer as to how I can sync my iPad with my new iTunes Library on my new Mac Book Pro without losing any of the apps that I previously purchased? I want to be able to access the apps I downloaded on my iPad on my Mac Book Pro.

While it isn't as easy to just use a Mac iDevice as media storage as Android and Windows, you can add documents and such like Word, PDF and others manually in iTunes to have them sync as well.

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you. I used to sync my iPhone with a Mac, but I got a new laptop running Windows 8 and I want to sync my iPhone with this new laptop. All the responses on this site tell me to download some sort of software to extract the data from my iPhone, but none of them seem to be free. My old Mac is still intact, so I can still use it if I need to. All of this is really confusing. Sorry if I'm being really ignorant about all of this, I just really need some help.

a manual backup should help to transfer your data and apps.
Disable autosync in itunes, connect your phone, right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing and save data, pictures taken with the phone and settings to the new itunes library.

After that, transfer your purchases the same way by choosing "transfer purchases", to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your phone got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored again from the manual backup you made before.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

There is no way to get pictures off the phone or to move them from folders to the camera roll. The format on the phone is proprietary, so even if you could get them off you couldn't use them. Having said that, search the Internet; there are some apps that can access some files on the iPhone without hacking it. There may be one that can get the photos off. The only other option is to email them to yourself. This will reduce the resolution, however.
I'm afraid you have pointed out the importance of frequent computer backups.

I want to sync my iPhone4 with a new Windows 8 PC.
I only sync music and video with the iphone and itunes, NOT email adress contacts, etc (I do not want to mix and mingle all my contacts on PC and phone).

Correct. The iphone is not a storage/backup device. It simply mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.
It should be very simple. Everything should be on your computer, or cloud service. The itunes simply allows your information from your computer, cloud service to be protable.
Copy everything to the new computer, then sync.
