It worked at one time, now in iTunes 11 or ios 6.0.1 somthings wrong. Updates to my calendar on my PC don't update the phone and updates on the phones calendar don't update the PC's Outlook calendar!!

Apple's reply was whoops, you can do that anymore.
iCloud: Microsoft Exchange behavior with iCloud
They blamed Outlook.

This is a very bad situation... i had multiple contact groups set up in outlook 2007 as per this Tut

i then installed 2010 and all my contacts got removed from iphone...alot of wasted time later it turns out there is a Glitch somewhere and there seems to be only one workaround (Please if there is a better fix Post it HERE)
if you have more than a single Outlook profile when you start Outlook choose the plain old "Outlook" profile then click Contacts on the bottom left. now above that in the far left pane should be Contacts and Suggested Contacts - below My Contacts beyond that depends on additional accounts you have added to this account as Outlook tracks each email adress you send from as seperate ost file.
The Contacts BELOW My Contacts is the only group that will synch with itunes so add whatever you need to this group and you should be good to go
if you are having trouble making this work try another profile - but figure out what IS synching then copy the data you need into this group

1 open itunes
2 connect iphone
3 select iphone and choos informations (infos or info)

if you have a mac: you cant sync with outlook but it works even good
1 -3 the same like windows
4 choose symbol table contacts
5 go on

I just switched from Windows XP to Windows 7 - also switched from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2010 - ITunes just came out with its latest version - don't know the name - it's December 11, 2012 and it just happened. Now I can't sync my iphone.
I tried downloading icloud and it completely screwed up my outlook calendar. When I removed it my whole calendar and all my contacts disappeared.

What can happen is that you might have emptied your iTunes library for any reason such as a system restore
If this is the case, you first need to Import iPhone library to iTunes and then, you'll be able to sync your iPhone with iTunes with no problem

Select Sync.

When I make a calendar entry in my phone it prompts me to use either my groups, my work email, my personal email and then I see BLINK with the name of my office computer. What should I be using as my default calendar? The one that says BBlink-Computer name or my business email address? Secondly is there a way to sync all my calendar entries with outlook to avoid personal and business conflicts? That is my BBM group calendar entries, personal email calendar entries and my business calendar entries? I'm really baffled by all this. I keep being told I need to set up an outlook.com email address. Do I really need to do this? I prefer not to. Essentially, how can I make all my calendar entries show on my office outlook calendar so I can see everything to avoid scheduling conflicts and not need to check my device before booking an appointment in my desktop outlook? I think (and I'll double check) only the BBLink events will sync on a wired USB sync. I'm fairly certain of that.
You'll need to use your calendar syncing via an EAS email account (outlook.com, for instance, is free) to sync wirelessly. It works great. I use it and was a former tied to the USB sync guy as well... and I thought I was gonna die a painful death without it. I found more freedom this way.
This explains the process. But I don't think you'll get BBM Groups to sync.
