How do I sync my old iPod nano with my new iPad and new Apple ID? I cannot remember my old Apple ID
I got a present of an iPod in 2008 and synced it with a laptop I had at the time. The laptop has since broke and the iPod was put in a press and never used. I now have a new iPad and apple I.d and have pulled out the old iPod and want to sync it so my new music from iTunes will be on the iPod.
Your iPod is not directly "linked" with an Apple ID. Just connect it to your computer (Mac or Windows PC) running iTunes and use it. You cannot sync an iPod to an iPad, however.

I just bought a new ipad and shared my documents in Pages from the old ipad to my cloud, but the only documents showing on my new pad is the ones that was not in folders. Have I lost my documents for ever?
Thank you, but after an hour with apple support on the phone we came to the conclusion that the documents are lost... So the lesson is, don't trust icloud as a back up solution! A month worth of work down the drain...

I just got a new IPAD and transferred everything through the cloud from my old IPAD 2. The new one says "this IPAD is currently being restored. It has been that way for over two hours. Also, I Books opens and then closes right away with no content. Does it take this long, or is there an issue?
I also tried manually underlining a few things on the new iPad and when highlighting a paragraph, it would skip a few lines and the line would go through a few as well. Looks like a major iBooks glitch needs to be addressed here.

How can I sync my G2 iPod touch with iCloud Contacts
I have a second generation iPod touch OS 4.2.1.
My iMac runs OS X 10.7.3 and I have an iPad 3rd generation.
My Address Book Contacts and iCal Calendars are in iCloud. I have no On My Mac contacts or calendars.
I can sync my iCloud calendars with the iPod touch by choosing the iCloud calendars identified with my Apple ID in the iTunes calendar sync dialog.
The iTunes sync dialog for the Address Book, however, does not show my iCloud Contacts and only has a choice for syncing all contacts, which I have chosen.
My calendars sync to my iPod touch, but my Address Book does not.This says that it can't be done.
But I am able to do it for my calendars in iCloud, just not for my contacts in iCloud.
What is the reason for the difference. -
Synching old ipod nano with windows 8
I have a 5th generation iPod nano and just recently purchased a new laptop with windows 8. I was able to install the itunes program successfully and found all of my past music stored in the cloud. The new computer has been authorized to my existing itunes account. When I purchased new music and connected my nano, neither the computer nor the itunes software recognized the nano as being attached. It was as if the nano had never been connected. The nano doesn't even show up as another drive or a USB device connected. What could be the problem? I'd really like to get the song on the nano. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I would recommend installing the Apple Mobile Device Support driver manually. See the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 in the article below.

hey i just pulled my old ipod out of my attic and it doesnt seem to turn on i charged it for two days but nothing happened does anyone know the problem?
Given that it probably hasn't been used in years, it's likely that the battery is shot and in need of replacement. However, the damage may be more than that, since it won't even power on, so it's hard to say for sure.

IPod nano with computer connection problems and more
My iPod Nano is always stuck at 1:06am and on the completely wrong date. The time will not change. If I try to change the date and time, it freezes up and I have to do a hard reset so I can get it to function. This problem it has had for quite a while now, and I don't view as a very pressing issue.
The following problem however is new to just yesterday. It impedes me from updating the iPod or adding new music. I added new music to it a month or so ago and yesterday was the first time I have tried to do anything with it on a computer in 2014.
It will not connect to a computer. The moment I try to chord it up, my entire computer runs slower, and iTunes crashes. My computer also doesn't always recognize that it is plugged into the it even though the iPod will have a "Do not disconnect" screen and is charging.
Another interesting thing to note is that I have tried to synch my iPod up to a few different computers and the results are the same, and if you try to shut down or boot up a computer with my iPod attached to it, it won't. It'll stop mid process and refuse to shut down or boot up.
I have followed some of the troubleshooting guides on similar sounding problems to no avail.
I realize that my iPod is also fairly old as far as iPods go (2008) and I will probably have to just get a new mp3 player. However, I would like to avoid that outcome as long as possible.first off , i don't think there should be any issues updating the router's firmware on a vista machine....

changing the MTU size to 1365 ,
under the "advanced wireless settings" subtab, change the beacon interval - 50 , fragmentation and RTS threshold - 2304 ... -
Sync "old" iPod Nano with new version of iTunes
My old computer crashed and I lost iTunes. So I downloaded iTunes 7 on my new computer but now I'm having problems with my nano. When I plug in the nano I can see the songs in iTunes, but I can't do anything with them (delete, etc.) iTunes keeps telling me that my nano is "synced" with another version of iTunes but I don't have that version anymore.

How do I sync a friends iPod Touch with my iTunes?

I am borrowing a friend's iPod Touch and want to sync it with my iTunes to copy some music onto it for her. When I try to sync iTune says that Touch can only be synced with 1 iTunes at a time and gives me the choice of Erase & Sync or Transfer Purchases.... neither of which I can do really! Can anyone help?to prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod - hold down the option and the command (on a PC that would be the shift and ctrl ) keys when plugging in the iPod - keep pressing the keys until the iPod is listed under the devices list in iTunes.

How to hack iPod nano with passcode??
So I have this old iPod nano I got in 2007, and I plugged it in for the first time as of 3 or 4 years ago and there is a passcode- idk it. How do I hack it????? PS I still want all, the music on there and/because I don't know the apple ID it uses. HELP!!
I supposed you could try every combination possible. Since there are 4 slots to fill in and a possibility of 10 different numbers in each slot, the # of possibilities is 10x10x10x10 or 10,000. Probably not your cup of tea though.
Some users have had luck by simply connecting their iPod to your their iTunes library and performing a sync operation with iTunes Upon disconnecting it, they discovered it was no longer locked. That would be a worth a shot. If it does, make sure to immediately either change the combination or disable it altogether.
Or connect your iPod to your computer. Enable hidden files and folders on your PC or Mac and browse out to [iPod Drive/Letter] -> iPod_Control -> Device and remove the _unlocked unix executable file. Then properly disconnect your iPod and reset it necessary.
Any luck with any of these?
