How do i sync my outlook with my iMac address book

Hello -
I have an Imac and an Ipad. My address book conacts have synched perfectly from Outlook on my Ipad but not my desktop Imac. I tried importing from Outlook and the names went into the address book but no other information like email addresses - etc... Why is it not working on my Imac?

Greetings all,
I use Google Contacts to store and manage all of my contacts; this way they are always the same on my iPhone and iPad. I would like to have them synchronized with my Address Book on my MacBook Pro. Is there any way to do this?
I did setup the Goggle sync in the Address Book preferences, however nothing happened. Meaning, no sync occurred...

What OSX version does your Mac have? What's your BlackBerry Desktop Software version?
When you set up your Mac, did you enable iCloud for your Mac Address Book?
Is your Mac or your BlackBerry Address Book blank?
Did you enable wireless contact sync on your BlacKBerry when you added an email account?

It seems that you have to choose one or the other, keep iMAcc addresses or iPhone.

Indeed you can merge the address book using iCloud. You can find the info here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998. I am not sure if you can de-duplicate though.
If that doesn't work or you want more out of your address book, you can always try connex.io (I work for the company). It's a service that automatically syncs, deduplicates, cleans and updates your address book across many different devices and services. If you want to try it out, you can get a free trail version at www.connex.io.

I have an iMac and will be getting an iPhone. How do I sync my iCal and such? There is no cradle, right? Using Bluetooth?

Your iPhone will not come with a cradle or docking station, but it will come with a USB cable which you can use to charge it (either from an AC outlet or from your Mac) and to sync it with your Mac via your Mac's iTunes application.
You can sync iCal to Calendar, and Address Book to Contacts, either during syncing with your Mac via iTunes or "over the air" using wifi if you set up calendar and contact information with a compatible syncing service such as MobileMe, Google, or Yahoo.

Sync error 4 with Yahoo! Address Book, clues?

OK, so I've read and tried all the remedies in

and

...but alas, no love. It's not critical since I can sync error-free to Windows Address Book and despite the Yahoo! error, data seems to be exchanged in the end. Has anyone else encountered this and if so, have you figured out how to resolve it? As for recent changes, perhaps the new iTunes 7.3.2 or iPhone 1.0.1 triggered something?
I've not ruled out a data problem, but have scanned email addresses as advised and fixed up the obvious ones, but I've 1200+ contacts, so difficult to be sure. If anyone knows of a way to generate a log or trace, be happy to try that too.

Since Friday, I tried the suggestion of creating a test Yahoo! account, which succeed in showing that the error is consistent across accounts, though given that I'd need to clear my iPhone of contact data to eliminate the data as the source of the problem, I didn't do that. Additionally, given the reports of other similar issues after upgrading iTunes, I think we've isolated a bug. Not a very serious one mind you, given that data syncs, but the error message does cause needless concern.
Thanks to others for validating, hoping this is fixed by an upcoming iTunes/iPhone update. If someone does find a data issue, please post. Thanks!

on your Mac, go to System Preferences > iCloud
Check you have the "contacts" box activated
on your iPhone, go to Settings > iCloud
Check if you have the same Apple ID you use on Mac (if not, please enter the same ID)
After that, activate the "contacts" on your iPhone too.

IPhone sync problem with iCal and Address Book

I have a new iPhone 4 that is not syncing contacts or events. It doesn't seem to matter whether the event or contact is created in my iMac or on the iPhone. Either way, the data doesn't move. During the iPhone synch process, where iTunes tells you what is going on, syncing calendars and contacts doesn't even appear. When I had my iPod Touch, all worked well. I saw a post about resetting in iSync, etc., but when I look there, I don't even see my iPhone, and so far I can't add it. My only option there is to add a bluetooth device. So I need some help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You're welcome.
You can't hurt anything by resetting the sync history on your Mac, and doing so may resolve the problem.
Syncing contacts direct with a supported Address Book application and syncing calendar events direct with a supported Calendar app on your computer via the iTunes sync process has nothing to do with a MobileMe account - a trial account or otherwise. Completely separate and not related even if you are syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with your MobileMe account on your iPhone. If you are doing so with your iPhone, syncing direct with the Address Book and iCal via the iTunes sync process is not required.

Just realised that amongst the software is ibiz and have lost al my accounting and billing files for the last 7 years want to cry so losing my contacts now will really tip me over the edge!

I was trying to import my contact list from my iphone to outlook 2003. There were no entries on outlook and over 800 on my iphone and it erase them all. How do I set up my itunes to sync and merge records in both directions without creating duplicates.

Before syncing contacts with an empty address book app, enter one contact in the address book app on your computer. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.
The same applies with calendar events before syncing calendar events with the Outlook calendar.

This question has a couple parts to it. First, I am self employed and use Outlook as my primary calendar. With my BB7 device this syncing issue was easy but I find it so hard with my new Z30. My email is a rogers.com email. I have 2 email accounts on my device (personal and business which are both rogers.com emails. How can I sync my calendar with outlook and allow changes made in both outlook or the device appear updated on both outlook and my device? When I make a calendar entry in my phone it prompts me to use either my groups, my work email, my personal email and then I see BLINK with the name of my office computer. What should I be using as my default calendar? The one that says BBlink-Computer name or my business email address? Secondly is there a way to sync all my calendar entries with outlook to avoid personal and business conflicts? That is my BBM group calendar entries, personal email calendar entries and my business calendar entries? I'm really baffled by all this. I keep being told I need to set up an outlook.com email address. Do I really need to do this? I prefer not to. Essentially, how can I make all my calendar entries show on my office outlook calendar so I can see everything to avoid scheduling conflicts and not need to check my device before booking an appointment in my desktop outlook? Lastly I have my outlook set to show me Canadian Holidays. How can I get these to appear in my device calendar? Please... This has been baffling me since I for my device about a month ago. I think (and I'll double check) only the BBLink events will sync on a wired USB sync. I'm fairly certain of that.
You'll need to use your calendar syncing via an EAS email account (outlook.com, for instance, is free) to sync wirelessly. It works great. I use it and was a former tied to the USB sync guy as well... and I thought I was gonna die a painful death without it. I found more freedom this way.
This explains the process. But I don't think you'll get BBM Groups to sync.
