    Update to iTunes 10.3.1
After you have finished, you can re download your iTunes purchases without having to re purchase.
    iTunes 10.3.1
" Download Previous Purchases. Download your past music purchases again at no additional cost. Your purchases are available in the iTunes Store on your Mac or in the iTunes app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Previous purchases may be unavailable if they are no longer on the iTunes Store."
"Available on iTunes in the U.S. and Canada only. Title availability is subject to change."

  • HT1349 I had to get a new computer as my hard drive went and lost everything. How do I get my itunes library back?

I had to get a needed to get a new computer as my hard drive died. How do I geatr my ituens library of songs back?

The easy way is from the backup you make of your computer so in case something happens you don't lose anything.
You can download some media files purchased from Apple:
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match Availability by Country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this).  Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.
This will not reconstruct your library as it was.  It just puts the media back.  You will have to do playlists, ratings, etc.  If you have music from another source you will have to get it from there again.

  • I have a new hard drive on my imac  I want to sync my ipad(which has the files I lost when my old hard drive died), which holds the files I lost when my old hard drive died.  How can I sync my ipad with my new hard drive?

My hard drive on my IMac died, so I have a new hard drive.  I want to sync my Ipad(which has the files I lost when my old hard drive died) back with my IMac. How can I sync my Ipad with my new IMac hard drive without erasing my legacy files on the Ipad at the same time?

Copy everything from your backup copy of your cpomputer to your new hard drive.

  • Music won't sync to new computer after failed hard drive

My hard drive failed catastrophically. It was a managed computer with a school district. They gave me a new computer. I authorized the new computer for iTunes. I can't sync my music from the iphone. I can see it, but the titles are grey. I am a music teacher and need the music in the computer.

I don't believe that is possible without downloading some 3rd party app, which Apple strictly forbids. I have done it, but not with iTunes. Search google, that may be of more help to you.

  • My external hard drive went bad and i need to reset the iCloud status within iTunes. I can't figure out how to do this. Any ideas?

So I had most of my music on an external hard drive (Seagate even!) and it went bad, but I occationally can get some stuff off of it. When I tried to do the iTunes Match, it looked for songs on my computer and found alot not there. Now they are all set to the iCloud Status of "waiting". I need to reset this so I can pull them down on an individual basis.
Ideas? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • HP G7 laptop hard drive went bad, how do i install Windows 8?

    Hp Pavilion G7-2269wm
Recovery discs have been lost, don't know if that would even work without the original Hard Drive.
I've been told that the product key is embedded in the BIOS.
How do i go about installing Windows 8 in a new hard drive?
I've seen OEM versions of Windows 8 posted here for download, is there anywhere i can get an OEM version for this particular model?
UPDATE: Ok, I have run a bad sector repair tool, i can now access the desktop, though it is very slow and it seems i cannot do much, it wont let me do a search so i cannot get to the system recovery to create recovery disks.  I CAN put the hard drive in an external enclosure, and i can access the drive from there.  I can also boot up to advanced boot options.
Is there anyway to create recovery disks either from the HD being mounted in an external enclosure, or from the advanced boot menu?
    This question was solved.

Your key will work with this ISO. Google does limit how many times it can be downloaded every day so you may have to make more than one attempt.

  • Hard Drive went bad. How to reinstall elem/3

I don't have an instalation disc, but have currents lic. How does one reinstall the program.
This is the < removed >
    Thanks Gareth

Ack! Never, never, never post a serial number on the open internet. I removed it for you, but you've already given it away to lots of people.
I don't think there's much that anyone can do here if you can't find your disc. Adobe doesn't make versions that old available any more, and even if they did it wouldn't help you much, since back then discs and downloads had mutually incompatible serial numbers, so even if there were a download you couldn't use your serial number with it.

  • Computer Freezes and Hard Drive goes bad on shut down and re-start

I have MacBooks running Leopard. We have had several so far this school year where it has frozen on the user. The user holds down the power key to shut-down and re-start. On re-start, either it just gets to the solid gray screen or it might show the folder with the question mark. When I boot it up from an install disk and run disk utility...I try to repair the hard drive which often fails, the drive is grayed out, and I try to re-partition which also fails. I then send them in for AppleCare who has replaced the hard drives. I have about 2-3 a week so far and I'm curious why this is happening. We got the laptops in March so they are relatively new. Is it the shut down process? Remedies to help prevent the freeze up (I'm guessing the kids have too many apps running at one time)? other thoughts?

I'm not sure but have you tried getting them to shutdown through the apple menu instead of the power button?

  • New computer but synced to old itunes on old hard drive

Hi i had to get a new hard drive on my home computer and itunes had to be reloaded to new computer. I tried to upload my ipod but it states its synced to another itunes but that hard drive no longer exists and it wont transfer from my ipod now when i plug it in. how do i solve this problem?!!

transfer your ipod directly to the new pc and there you go. itunes won't tell you that your ipod has been synced with another library. Just follow these instructions: http://www.ehow.com/how4451912transfer-ipod-itunes.html

  • How do I install the OS on a new hard drive

My hard drive went bad in my Macbook Pro so I want to replace it.  How do I install the OS on a new

Put your Snow Leopard DVD into the drive and boot to it. As soon as you get the chance, launch Disk Utility. Select the hard drive and partition it however you prefer. Even if you only want one partition, choose that in the drop down menu so the Options button can be clicked. Choose that and make the partition map GUID. Finish partitioning the drive and quit Disk Utility. You can then continue on installing OS X.

  • How do i install snow leopard on a new hard drive

My hard drive went bad on my macbook pro and had to install a new on. Can anyone help me install snow leopard? When i try it doesn't see the new HD.

I am hopeless!  Try as I might I can never get my external hard drive to be my startup drive.  In summary,
I have a brand new Western Digital blue caviar HD, which I formatted as 2 partitions, both extended journaled with GUID partition.
I tried 2 different ways to install SL onto one of the partitions.  I tried to boot up the SL Install disk holding c key, but the internal HD prevailed as startup, with the Install disk showing up on the desktop.  I chose INSTALL and specified on one of the partitiions of the external drive.  i ended up with one folder called: MAC OS INSTALL DATA, but it would not boot up when I restarted the computer, holding the option key down.  I next tried using System Preferences to select the partition as a startup BUT its icon did not appear so I couldn't choose it.
I decided to choose the Install Dvd as the startup (given that holding c key on booting would not work to boot the Install dvd).  However, as above, when I went to select the partition as the disk for the SL install, its icon was again not visible.
However, both of the partition icons DO appear on my desktop when I reboot the computer using the internal HD as the startup.  I can't see what I am doing wrong.

  • How can I find out if my iphone has been synced to another computer? (Backup/Sync Privacy)

So it would seem easy for someone (lets just say a girlfriend for example) to plug my iPhone into her computer while I am staying the night and backup to iTunes.  I have my settings to "require a passcode immediately", however there was one day there was access to my passcode at her place while I was not there. So my question is three-fold:
    - How can I find out if my iphone has synced with another computer/iTunes (possible history in the iPhone)?
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
One reason I ask this is because earlier this year her phone was backed up to my iTunes on accident.  I did not know it was there until months later, but was able to access it with software.
    Thanks!

You don't.  Nothing gets stored on the iPhone about what computers the device has been backed up to.
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
Yes, it's called a passcode lock.
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
No.  You might consider changing your Apple ID password to be on the safe side, though, as well as your security questions.
