How do I take photos with Touch?

I have a 32g Touch. I have been able to take pics of my Touch screen only. Is there a way for me to take pics of something other than what is on my Touch screen?

Depends on the photo and how it was added to the photo library.
If it was a save while using safari or a screen shot, then when in iPhoto on the iPT, just touch the photo and a trash can will appear at the bottom of the screen, tapping on the trash can will delete this kind of photo.
If the photos were synced from iTunes, then re-syncing photos to a different folder, using iTunes will change the synced photos on the iPT. Syncing to a folder that has no photos will erase all synced photos on the iPT.

    Try:
    - Restore from backup. See:

My idea is using the flashlight permanently as kind of "studio light" to take Photos in macromode:
Is it possible to take photos with the iphone when the flashlight shines permanently?
When the light is permanently on, it would be great to take photos without flash in dark areas or in macromode.
Especially for medical documentation (Dermatology etc.).
    I didn´t found any netsolution.
This could be an outstanding feature for many people.
How could this be possible? App-Solution?
    kindly regards

  • How to make 8MP photos with Superior Auto in Xperia Z1?

    Hi all
I bought the Xperia Z1 mainly for the camera, but I am not satisfied with the results. In articles like the one linked here, it states that "Sony has wisely set the Z1 to take 8-megapixel oversampled photos by default".
    http://www.theverge.com/2013/9/30/4784014/sony-xperia-z1-review
Though,in superior auto my Z1 takes photos with 5248 x 3936 = 21 MP!  Could that be a reason for the poor image quality and how could I in that case change this setting without going to manual mode (there I already changed it).
Thanks in advance for your support!
    Dan.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi again
I have now first tried clearing the data/cache, but no change. The I repaired the phone (loosing all settings done), but it is still the same. The pictures made with "Superior auto" are of 21MP and around 7MB big.
I also found a colleague that got her phone at the same time and for her it is the same, i.e. the pictures made with "Superior Auto" are of 21MP and around 7MB big. She had though thought that this is how it was supposed to be.
So the question remains. Do I need to send the phone for "repair" or is this acutally the way it should be?
Are there no other users on this forum that could clarify this?
    The way I do it:
    1. Start the carmera app.
    2. Choose "Superior auto" if not already done
    3. Take the picture
    4. Open the picture with "Albums"
    5. "Options" -> "Details"
    6. States"Width: 5248" and "Height: 3936" (i.e. 21MP)
    Is this correct or not?
    Thankful for any answers!
    Dan

    2) It would be equally helpful if there was something that would take the name of the picture file and spotlight comment, copy and paste it to a movie file's comments with the same name but obviously has different extention. For an example
    In a Pictures folder
Name: Dark Knight, The.jpeg       Comment: (2008) Genre: Action...             <- copy comment
    In a Movie Folder
Name: Dark Knight, The.m4v       Comment:                                               <- paste

This Bash script will do it.
Edit "PicDir" and "MovDir" to the location of your Folders
(Note: The comment is written to the m4v file using xattr, so the Spotlight comment field appears blank in Finder, but the comment metadata is still indexed by Spotlight (If you add a Spotlight comment from Finder, it is stored both as an extended attribute and in a .DS_Store file)

Greetings from a Photoshop Newbie. I need a computer, preferably a Mac laptop, with some serious processing power. I take photos with a Pentax 645Z; files are 50MB raw. I upload from Adobe Bridge and manipulate the photo, sometimes turning them into files in excess of 250MB. I cannot resize as the large files are needed for enlargements. Have all sorts of problems trying to manipulate, add effects and saving most large files. I need some serious processing power. Can anyone suggest what Mac i should purchase? I thank you in advance for your help :-)

It sounds as if you're having some system-related problems now, unrelated to processing power as such. In particular, a buggy video driver can cause everything to slow to a crawl.
Medium format files are big, true, but not so big as to cause significant slowdowns on a normally functioning and reasonably current computer. A laptop will always be slower than a well-equipped desktop system, though. Mac vs PC plays no part in this, performance is unrelated to platform.
Bottlenecks are different in ACR and Photoshop, so that should give you a clue. ACR is computing-intensive and mostly limited by CPU speed. Photoshop, however, is mostly bandwidth-intensive and mainly limited by memory and disk throughput. It's also sensitive to GPU issues.

NNot with the regular MY Photo Stream. You could use individual Shared Photo Streams instead for each iPhone, if the iOS versions support shared streams. upload to a shared stream is not automatic however. You will have to share them manually.

Tell Apple what additional features you want in Photos via both http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html and http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html  since they don't have a feedback page for Photos as yet.

If you have iPhoto on an iOS device rather than a Mac, you can create a 'Photo Journal', which is an online gallery hosted on iCloud: details here -

This facility is not as yet available in iPhoto on a Mac. If you don't have an iOS device you will need to find a third-party alternative. This page examines some options:

The old 7.1.2 takes around 7 GB from the available usable space. Not all features in iOS 8 can be used on a 4s.
One of the reasons, I did not upgrade my 4s.
