How do I take the photos on my iPhone and transfer them to iTunes on my desk top

How can I take my photos on my iPhone and transfer them into my iTunes on my desk top computer. When I back up my phone with iTunes everything transfers over but my photos. Any ideas?

You don;t transfer them to itunes.
You import them to your computer as you would with any digital camera:

I have managed to export them to the hard disk but it's just plonked all 2000+ photos in a list - not ideal if I want to use it for anything else. And then I have to manually delete the photos from iPhoto. Is there not a quick and easy way of dealing with this?

I too would like to be able to do this. Just put them where i want the. IFTT a scripting app will put the images in dropbox for you , but its been pretty iffy.

If you were using a Mac you could use a program but AFAIK there is nothing similar yet for the PC.
However, you should have a backup of your music, correct? Just restore from that backup to your computer (and, if not, at least this will teach you the importance of always backing up your music purchases onto writable media like DVD).

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases.
The rest of the music came from your computer in the first pace so it should still be there.

With your iPhone connected, launch iPhoto.
This is for photos that were captured by your iPhone only. Your iPhone should appear in the iPhoto source list under devices.

To see all the photos on the phone, including photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, deselect the "Hide Photos Already Imported" checkbox. If the camera contains photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, those photos are hidden by default.

All photos captured or saved with the iPhone are stored in the Camera Roll which cannot be changed.
You can create an album to place photos in that are in the Camera Roll which does not duplicate the photo. It creates a pointer to the original photo stored in the Camera Roll. If the original is deleted from the Camera Roll, it will be removed from the album as well.
Import the photos from the Camera Roll with your computer as with any other digital camera followed by deleting the photos from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete. Create an album or albums for the imported photos on your computer followed by transferring the albums from your computer via the iTunes sync process which is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

You need a unique AppleID for each iCloud account. So grab some free gmail, hotmail, aol, yahoo or whatever email addresses to make five new AppleIDs. Now, everybody make an iCloud account for themselves, and keep the existing shared AppleID and password just for use in the iTunes and App Stores. You can also each use your own unique AppleIDs to make iMessage accounts and keep those separate as well.
