How do I tell FF to ignore flash, and not bug be to install the plugin?

I don't care for MM Flash, so I don't install it. Firefox keeps bugging me to install the plugin every time it hits a page with a flash component. How do I tell it to stop doing that?
I've tried setting a filter in AdBlock for *.swf, but no go.

To disable automatic error handling for the current VI, select File»VI Properties and select Execution from the Category pull-down menu. To disable automatic error handling for any new, blank VIs you create, select Tools»Options and select Block Diagram from the Category list. To disable automatic error handling for a subVI or function within a VI, wire its error out parameter to the error in parameter of another subVI or function or to anerror out indicator.
I'm not sure of it works for warnings as well.

Well, I kinda figured that was true, so I disabled it. Firefox does not lock up now. I suspect it might be a Google Finance page graph that is causing the problem, rather that Flash. Thanks for all your help. J

Also, once I figure out how to replace iCal with Outlook/Mac on iTunes, how do I synch the phone and pad so that the information on those devices over-writes onto Outlook as a backup, rather than having a blank Calendar on Outlook wipe out all of the information on the phone and pad???

If you haven't tried already, plug your devices into iTunes, and on each device next to the "Summary" tab at the top is another tab called "Info." Click that and scroll down to Contacts, Calendars, etc. There should be a pull down bar under each category for "Sync contacts from..." and you should be able to select from that pull down list Outlook. Hit Apply at the bottom and see if that does it.

How can I tell if fan between front and rear bays is working? I put my hand behind G4 MDD to feel for air flow and it seems minimal. I hear a wind tunnel sound but I feel more heat than air flow. Please help as I don't want my Mac to overheat

You can run your mac with the side "door" open - down flat to the right of the computer. You should be able to see the fan do (or not do) its thing.
I have done this (run the mac with the side open) many times. For safety, I turn the mac off before opening / closing the door.

silly question but when I put a dvd-r into my ibook how can I tell if it is blank and data can be written to it?

Sometimes, without putting a disc media into the computer,
you can tell by looking at the recording surface side of the
disc; since the pattern of area previously recorded does look
different than one which has no recording data on it.
The color area changes when it is recorded onto, and this is
an easy way to see if a standard DVD or CD media disc
has been used or not. That said, a re-writable CD-RW or
DVD-RW may have a different pattern of used vs unused.
They often are easy enough to tell, especially within a brand.
And all without putting one into the computer... easier still if
these discs were not recorded totally to the max capacity.

I have Shockwave but FireFox tells me I need to install the plugin.

When I try to use a web page that needs Adobe Shockwave, FireFox tells me the plugin is missing. I just checked for the add-on, and it says I have Shockwave Flash (I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I assume so.). I tried installing the plugin, but it said "Installation failed" and then asks me to do it manually (which I can't do). I was wondering if it was something wrong with FireFox or if I actually don't have it?
In addition, all my plug-in's are enabled except the ones that have been automatically disabled by FireFox.

If your country code does not appear in the list…
Go to System Preferences > iCloud > Keychain and enter your Apple ID password (Settings > iCloud > Keychain, from a mobile device)
Select the ‘Create Different Code’ option. (Mobile devices only)
Select the advanced option and choose whether to create a random code or no code, selecting the later allows syncing across devices but not with Apple’s servers.

How can I print a whole email document and not a "screen shot" like I get in the Print Preview option. I'd like to print from "file" and print" like I can on other browsers (IE, for example). When I try to print from Firefox it grabs all my info (file folders, etc.) from the left side of the page. I need just the email information, not the entire screen information. Thank you!

I agree; I should, but I can't :) I have an orange Firefox drop down that I go to to print, and it allows me to select "print", "print preview" and "print setup", where I can change the margins. It always defaults to a full screen shot (I use Yahoo) and does not show just the email. I don't need to print what is on the left side of the screen or anything other than the email (I can achieve these things by using file-print from IE, so I know it is doable, and I am still going into Yahoo and using their email when I do it).
Hope this helps. I'm not a fan of IE, but I really don't like the print properties I'm getting here (I'm a long time Mozilla user, but I'm losing too much info with this option and can't afford that anymore).

How can I sort one column of words and not have it affect the other columns? I have opened the inspector to the edit columns and rows under Table. It will sort the column, but then it changes the other colums as well. I know that if I use Numbers, it will work, but I want to know how to do the same thing in Pages.

Hi Peter,
Numbers sorts full rows on values in selected column(s). The technique for sorting a single column is essentially the same as Jerry is describing for Pages tables—separate the (data in the) column to be sorted, sort it, return it to the table.
In Numbers the actual column may be separated from the original table, sorted, then returned. In Pages, the data must be extracted, sorted, then pasted back in, overwriting the unsorted data (if it was left in the original table).
iWork tables follow a database model in which each row is a Record, and each column holds a Field within the records.
As evidenced by the current question (and several similar questions arising in the Numbers community) that model doesn't apply to the way some users, especially some who come in from the MS Excel world, use tables.
With Excels model—islands of data on a single large table, the ability to sort one or a selected few columns of data makes sense. One 'island' may comprise only cells AA21:AH50. Sorting that small 'table' should be possible without disturbing the rest of rows 21-30, which are probably part of one or more other 'data islands' in the sea that is a MS Excel spreadsheet.
In Numbers, each of those 'islands' would be a separate Table, and that Table would be sortable without disturbing other Tables in the document.

How to change preview image of a file and NOT the icon ?
I know how to change the icon of a file, but I wish to know how to change the preview of any file.
For example: my file is "mysong.aif", I changed the icon to be "mylogo.png" using cmd+i, cmd+v on the icon. But the preview of the file still remain the same.
I know it can be changed using iTunes, but I don't want to import all my files in iTune, and iTune cannot import all type of files.
I hope someone will understand my needs...
