How do I tell if a particular shape is a closed shape or an open shape?

Is there some way to easily tell if a shape is "closed" or "open"? (I think I learned vectors on FreeHand a million years ago and seem to remember that I could "close" a shape.)

Or, simply look at it in outline mode for a moment. Cmnd / Crtl + Y (or View > Outline). Same quick key switches back to preview (normal) mode.

  • How to move cursor to a particular field in a form when the form opens

    Hi All,
Using Forms Personalization how to move the cursor to a particular field in a form when the form opens. We are using Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2
Please let me know as soon as possible.
    Thanks,
    --John.

    Hi Satya,
    Try the following
    Open the forms personalization window
    Seq: 10
    description : Move cursor
    Level : Function
    On Condition Tab-
    Trigger Event : when-new-item-instance
Trigger Object:- (The field on which the cursor is appearing now when you open the form ) for eg : If I am working on a vendor Master form in that case it would be -VNDR.VENDOR_NAME_MIR.
    Processing Mode : Both
    Context:
whatever context you want to do it respoansibility level or user level.
    On the Actions Tab
    Seq: 1
    Type: Bulletin
    Bulletin type : GO_ITEM
Argument : The field to which you want to navigate to. (In my case I want to navigate to Alternate name on the Vendor master form so it would be VNDR.VENDOR_NAME_ALT_MIR).
see if it works for you.
    cheers,

  • How do I tell if a particular update rule is used

I have inherited a sales reporting application in BW 3.5. It has update rules from 2LIS_13_VDITM to 4 level 1 ODS. There are update rules from those 4 level 1 ODS to Level 2 ODS and cubes. So far so good. However there are also update rules from 2LIS_13_VDITM to the L2 ODS and to the cubes direct.
My belief is that these update rules are never used. This is based on the production infopackage settings which do NOT have these objects ticked as data targets. However i would like to know for sure that these update rules have never been used.
Question: Is there a way to tell this eg.
    a) is there a table linking infosource to destination with a date last used,
    b) or a table linking infopackage to destinations showing when a particular destination was last changed,
    c) or some other mechanism?

    Hi,
Chk the L2 ODS which have update rules from 2LIS_13_VDITM if it has data loaded in it in production.
If its loaded means it is used.
You can also chk whether the InfoPackage which loads this data is used in any process chain, and then chk if that chain is scheduled in production.

  • How do I tell my shape object what shape it is

Hi - I'm pretty new to all this
I'm trying to create an applet on which a number of different (non standard) shapes will be displayed. I want to be able to move these shapes around the applet. I know that I need to add a mouselistener to my shape object but how do I tell my shape object what area belongs to it.
Previously I have given my shape object a draw method so the shape is displayed but the object has no knowledge of exactly what area it is made up of, does it?

You have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How do I tell Leopard NOT to connect to a particular local drive?

How do I tell Leopard NOT to connect to a particular local drive?

I don't want my Leopard computer to automatically connect as guest to the Tiger computer.
Leopard does not automatically connect to it. If it shows in the sidebar you are not connected to it. The sidebar is just showing what computers on the network are available to connect to. To connect to it you still have to click on the connect button.
To stop it showing the sidebar you have to turn off file sharing on that mac.

  • How can I tell if a message received is via iMessage?

My daughter has an iPhone  4 with iOS6 on, and I have an iPhone 5 with iOS6 on. We both have iMessage enabled and use it.
Now I can see when I have sent a message and its an iMessage as it is on blue. But how can tell if a message from my daughter is an iMessage as its in grey/white? I want to make sure that when she's sending me pics its using iMessage and not MMS as its so expensive.
I know if iMessage can't use data it defaults to SMS, but how can I tell received messages are definitely iMessages? Particularly as I say for pics and videos.
    Thanks

there's no current way to know that.
but a simple workaround is - switch MMS on her phone or tell your wireless carrier to put a block on MMS

  • How can I tell if my computer is using ethernet or wireless for downloads?

    Hi,
My computer is hooked up via ethernet to my router (base station) which is connected to my DSL modem, and I also have my Airport on because I have extended my network with an airport express so I can stream music to my stereo across the room using iTunes.
I've noticed in the Airport menu that my computer is connected also to my wireless network which I use for getting online with my iPad.
Can I assume that my computer will use ethernet and NOT wireless for accessing the internet, downloading files, etc?
How can I tell which network connection is being used? Are there tools for monitoring the network that would allow me to easily determine if a particular download is going over the ethernet or the wireless connection?
Clearly, I want to use the hard line ethernet connection for everything and use the wifi only for my streaming music function for speed purposes...
    Thanks!!!!
    Elisabeth

    Hi,
Internet is served on the priority basic from the System Prefrences Network pane.
If ethernet is on top you getting it from ethernet if Airport and so on...
So depending on internet speeds set the priority to access fast internet speeds.

  • How do I tell if my Firewire is 4 pin or 6 pin

How do I tell if my iMac has a 4 pin or a 6 pin firewire connection. I'm looking at buying a external DVD drive using firewire and there seems to be two platforms 4 pin and 6 pin. I have used the System profiler and all it tells me is transfer rate.
If anyone can tell me where I can get the info I would be grateful.

    Hi Gary,Welcome to Apple Discussions.
All Macs with Firewire have 6pin Firewire 400 connectors. They are superior as they provide power to a device as well as data. Only some PCs and some devices use 4pin FW400 connectors which transfer data only.
For your information please see the diagram below which shows both connector types.

The iTunes application should be installed on the system drive. You may need to repair iTunes to fix that error regarding a missing .exe.
To organize your library properly see Make a split library portable.
If you don't have a working version of the library that can be transformed into a portable shape I have tools and techniques that can repair the broken links.

  • How do you tell if a 3750 interface is shaping or policing traffic?

We have an Avaya PBX Medpro board plugged into a 3750 port with the following configuration:
    interface FastEthernet1/0/4
    description PBX Medpro-1
    switchport access vlan 10
    switchport mode access
    duplex full
    speed 100
    srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20
    srr-queue bandwidth shape 10 0 0 0
    mls qos trust dscp
    auto qos voip trust
Everything was working fine until the PBX call level went above 110 calls (G-711) which pushed the interface to more than 10mbps. When this happened random calls out of that medpro became garbled and after lots of troubleshooting we came to the conclusion that the default auto qos settings where the problem.
Default auto qos puts these statements on an interface:
    srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20
    srr-queue bandwidth shape 10 0 0 0
...which means that queue 1 will allow for 10mbps of traffic and then shaping will kick in.
Adding the line 'priority-queue out' to the interface disables the 10mbps limitation of queue 1 and instead forces the interface to process every packet that goes into the priority queue before anything else.
My question is - is there a 'show' command that we can use to see shaping at work? On router ports with a service policy that has shaping or policing on it you can see the shaping/policing in real time with 'show policy....'
What about on the 3750 switch ports?

Thanks for responding. We work with DSCP so I tried your example on the port a medpro is connected to, but with DSCP, as in:
    int f0/15
    description Medpro-1
    switchport access vlan 12
    mls qos dscp 46
    srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20
    srr-queue bandwidth shape 10 0 0 0
    auto qos voip trust
This is the output of 'sh mls qos int f0/15'
    #sh mls qos int f0/15
    FastEthernet0/15
    trust state: not trusted
    trust mode: not trusted
    trust enabled flag: ena
    COS override: dis
    default COS: 0
DSCP Mutation Map: Default DSCP Mutation Map
    Trust device: none
    qos mode: port-based
Note - it doesn't show that 'mls qos dscp 46' did anything. Also it won't take the command 'mls qos dscp override', so how do I tell to mark incoming packets to DSCP 46?

  • How can I tell what control the modulation wheel is assigned to?

    Hello,
I understand how to reassign the Mod Wheel and other controls with Command-L. However, once I deleted my learned assignments I realized that the modulation wheel had not been working as it should with the thousands of other presets. Apparently, when I assigned it to the EVP88's Tremolo, it became deactivated from controlling all sorts of fun stuff on the synths.
My questions is in a two parts:
    1. If I open up some presets in the ES E (for example), I hear the mod wheel tweaking the sound, but I don't see the control it's manipulating when I'm looking at the instrument window on the screen. How can I find out what control the mod wheel is linked to in each instrument?
    2. If I want to reassign the mod wheel on a particular instrument preset, how can I tell logic that this assignment should only be aplicable in a particular preset, and to forget that reassignment when swiching instruments or presets?
    Thanks in advance,

I don't recall there being a way that I've seen to find out if the Hotspot is connected to Band 4 or Band 13. The diagnostic pages are very basic.
A good rule of thumb with Band 4 is to consider the following. If you have 3 bars or less, you're likely not on Band 4. The device will head to Band 13 as it will usually provide better signal reliability. If you're indoors, you're more likely to be on Band 13.
Also take note that Wi-Fi is a common limiter on the speeds you'll get. You'll usually see nothing more than 30Mbps on most Wireless N devices. Connect to the Hotspot using USB Tethered mode and speeds should be a bit better.
