How do I tell the difference between LDAP, CalDAV, or GAL contact lists.
My iPhone does not have the + button available in the contacts section. I can't edit or add to my contacts. The Manual says the + will not be available if I am using a LDAP, CalDAV, or GAL contact list, but I see no instructions on how to determine this or how to change it. Any Help out there?
Yes , and to rub in the fact they must be in pairs, 2x512 or 2x1gb for your 1 or 2gb ram upgrades, depending on how much extra ram you want to put in you can keep or store them for back up later.
I kept the stock ram in i have 2gb (4x512mb) 2 in riser a and 2 in riser b
how i usually go about putting ram in is:
Load up Slot 1 and 2 in riser A, then load up Slot 1 & 2 in riser B, then fill 3 & 4 in Riser A then same fill 3 & 4 in Riser B

How can you tell the difference between a genuine Apple lead and the cheap, or sometimes not so cheap imitations? I spoke with two people at Apple Support - one said that it has Designed in California Made in China and the serial number stamped on it, and the other said it didn't. Come on guys, how are we supposed to tell if you can't? I'd really like to know how to identify my lead amongst my daughter's gazillion fakes?
All my cables are genuine either with the devices or from Apple retail Store I have never found a serial number on any regardless of which length ,I have all three lengths
In fact they have nothing printed at all only a USB logo at relevant end -

If unboxed how could you tell the difference between refurbished imac and new imac?
If unboxed how could you tell the difference between refurbished imac and new imac?
Besides all of that, you can purchase Apple Care which will extend your warranty to 3 years just like you can on a brand new iMac.
If you're considering a "refurbished" iMac, buy it ONLY from Apple. I believe it's your best bet. -
In ical, how can you tell the difference between a meeting invite and email?
When you send a meeting invite in ical, does the recipient receive a different icon in their inbox to differentiate from an email?
For service stock you can't tell the difference between a new iPad and a refurbished one. Both will come in a plain brown box with the same pattern in model numbers. If you mean between a refurbished one and one new at retail, then other than the obvious difference in packaging, I've read that the model number on refurbished units starts with the letter "F", though I've not confirmed that.

HT4060 How can i tell the difference between chargers
How can i tell the differance between chargers
Believe it or not, they are identified right on the chargers themselves. Unfortunately, the font is real small and the print is gray on a white background. It's nearly impossible to read. You need a bright light and a magnifying glass!
After determining which is which, you might wish to put your own paper labels on them. -
I'm just wondering the differences between the new MacBook Pro with retina display which was just released in October 2013 and the old MacBook Pro with retina display.
Thank you for the reply! As you said they looked exactly the same, so I'm not able to tell the differences just by looking, right? I'm thinking to buy a new 13-inch MacBook Pro with retina display, but I'm not buying the MacBook in Apple Store, I'm buying it in other shops, how can know whether they are not selling me the old model of MacBook Pro with retina display?

How can I tell the difference between Academic and non-academic version
I would like to purchase Logic Express on Ebay. The Apple part number is
MA338Z/A
How can I tell if this is the Academic or non-academic version?
THanksok, but there is no way to tell from the Apple part #?
I thought that the /A might mean Academic but it seems this same part number applies to the non-academic version:
MA338Z/A

How do you tell the difference between iPads
my sister just won an iPad. She has the 64GB, but says she does not know if she has 3g or not. No, there is no Apple store near her, and I could not find how to tell. Sorry for the dumb question. LOL
The 3G edition has a black plastic strip along the top of the back of the device. The WiFi edition is completely metallic at the back. See here:
