How do I tell what type processor I have in my iMac G5?

I have iMac G5 with 20" display - love it. I see that the minimum requirement for Snow Leopard is an Intel Core Duo processor - not sure what kind of processor I have but I'm sure hoping I don't have to buy a new computer to get Snow Leopard!!
About this Mac menu says "Processor=1.8GHz PowerPC G5" so I am assuming it is NOT an Intel processor - correct?

You can get along perfectly well with Leopard, but unfortunately, all the coming OSs will only be intel compatible. I don't think that Snow Leopard is going to be a huge advancement over Leopard, so don't feel too left out

  • How can you tell what type of credits you have?

My iTunes account shows that I have 4 credits on the top right of iTunes but I can't tell what type of credits I have.  I have sent numerous emails to Apple iTunes support and they just keep telling me that it should say 1 song credit or 1 TV episode credit, etc. but all it says are 4 credits so I can't tell what the credits are for?  Can someone help?  I have the latest version of iTunes for Windows on a Windows 7 PC.

I updated QuickTime and now the top right under my name displays the number of credits and the types of credits.  Prior to this update, it only showed the name.

  • How can I tell what generation iPad I have?

    Hi there:
I was first and foremost wondering what kind/generation of iPad I own:
    Model number:  MB292LL
    Serial number: GB0393LJZ38
Secondly, depending on that info, I was wondering how much this iPad now costs (a hyperlink would be great) and third, what kind of keyboard (Zaragoza or Taurus) is compatible with it?  I would like an internal physical keyboard that holds an iPad vs something that externally connects to the iPad).  Let me know if there are any other details I can provide.

You can google the model number
    Amazon.com: Apple iPad (first generation) MB292LL/A Tablet (16GB ...
    www.amazon.com › Electronics › Computers & Add-Ons › Tablets
    Rating: 3.9 - 730 reviews - $485.00 - In stock
Amazon.com: Apple iPad (first generation) MB292LL/A Tablet (16GB, Wifi): Computers & Accessories.
So you have an I pad 1.  See the price above.
There are a gazillion keyboards availble.  Read some reviews and pick what you want
I have a brookstone case with built in keyboard.  I hate it.  So skip that one.
( for what it's worth, after a while you get used to the on screen keyboard and don't really need the external.)

  • How can I tell what type of license my Creative Suite software is?

I have a copy of Creative Suite 3 Design Premium, but I am not 100% sure if it is Academic or a regular copy, there is nothing written on the box.  If it is Academic I don't think I can sell it on, which is the reason for the question.
I urgently need to know today as I have it for sale today on ebay, but I can't sell it if I have an academic copy, so I need to make sure.
    Thanks
    Ross

    Thanks Bev
I finally managed to get through to Adobe on the phone in the end and they gave me the same answer.  I later found the sleeve that came with the DVD case and that had it printed on it.  The DVD case had no trace of it.
    Many thanks

  • How do I tell what hardware components I have in my dv4t?

I have a Pavilion dv4t-4100 and the hard disc crashed. I've installed a new hard drive and OS, but I don't know which drivers I need to download for my network adaptor and other hardware components where there are several choices of drivers and components on the download drivers support page.
I'm hoping there is a way to determine what hardware I have without disassembling my notebook.
Or perhaps I could just download all of the drivers and Windows will choose the correct ones for the various hardware components?
    Thanks for any help!

We would need your precise model number to provide you with specific information about your hardware unless you can give us a bit of other information. What Windows version did you install? 64 or 32 bit? You can try Windows Update and it will usually provide workable drivers for most components or you can just open Device Manager and find all the devices with errors (no driver) and post the hardware ID for each and we will link you to the drivers. This shows how to find hardware ID in Windows 7 Device manager:
    http://www.technize.info/3-ways-to-find-unknown-device-drivers-in-windows/
Post back with Device IDs and we will find you drivers.

I ordered a Macbook Air with UK keyboard but the box label has the following code:

  • How do I tell what version (update / release level) of version 6 has been applied to my system?

    Question
How do I tell what version (update / release level) of version 6 has been applied to my system? I have applied several different release levels to version 6 of FF but all the about feature tells me is Version 6.0. no version! This seems to be a change in the way updates are handled. Is that a bending because of the speed of which you're pushing out updates and new releases?

    @cchur <br />
Nope, I never used Chrome, but I did try Chromium on my Windows desktop PC for a few months last year. I got tired of the Google updater. exe running all the time and Google's method of doing updates, so it's gone. I do have Chromium on my Linux EeePC since last summer, but Ubuntu handles all updates and gives the user the capability to accept or deny, any or all updates - much more to my liking, similar to the way Mozilla does it. I don't like software developers forcing to update until I am ready to proceed.
There's a lot more about this new Fast Release system, than just the lack of visible version numbers, that I don't like. The Nightly, Aurora, Beta, & Release sequence is dumb with the way it changes the version numbers. I prefer installing (for instance) what will become version 7 and have that installation progress thru the 4 stages, instead. Now it's like Nightly going from 7 to 8, Aurora going from 6 to 7, and Beta doing - hell, I won't know if it becomes a Release or if it just dies and I will have to install the Release version myself. ''Quite honestly I don't care, because I don't think this new "system" is going to last too long without major modifications. Too damn many users are so pissed off, that when Firefox starts losing large numbers of users, Chrome keeps growing and eventually passes Firefox in number of users and market share of usage - Mozilla will wake up and see the "light" and change back to the way things used to be done, to a certain extent.''
I also dislike the UI changes in 4/5/6/7 enough that I am still using Firefox 3.6 for almost everything and Firefox 2.0.0.20 for the rest. I have been setting my toolbars up almost like Mozilla did for Firefox 4, since Firefox '''0.7''' in 2003 and I haven't come up with a workable combination of mods and extensions to configure Firefox to look and work the way I have been doing for almost 8 years now.

  • How can I tell what the iTunes build is before I download?

I am having difficulty finding out what the iTunes build is for the current download from the Apple site. I am running iTunes 7.6 (29); I assume the "29" is the build for my installed version. I also assume that Software Update will ignore build changes unless the version changes.
I do not want to download and install the current iTunes build unless it is different from my currently installled app. How can you tell what the specific version and build are from the Apple download site?
    Thanks!

I am running iTunes on Leopard.
