hello, i have never bough a apple product, so i have no idea how to text. i have be told about many ways to do it; email,phone,internet etc. but i need to know the absolute truth. what is it and what is the step by step i have to do.please need help someone anyone. i havent bough it yet, but for when i do i would like to know.
click on your messages app. you must be connected to wi fi.
You can iMessage from an ipod, not text. meaning you can only send messages to other apple product users. phone numbers or emails.
you must be signed in to use imessage
settings>messages>send and recieve at>sign in with your apple ID.

You need to connect to a computer with iTunes and restore...start iTunes, connect the USB end of the iPod cable, then while holding the home button on the iPod, connect the 30-pin connector end of the cable to the iPod. The proceed to recover and restore the iPod.

Thank you.Are you just trying to deauthorize it from your iTunes account, or do you want to totally erase it?
Your iPod touch is not actually authorized to anything other than the computer you sync it with; it is not authorized with the iTunes store the way your computer is. Giving your iPod to someone else won't give them your store info. Once they plug it into their own iTunes, it will force them to erase the whole thing in order to sync it with their own computer.
If you want to wipe the thing clean before giving it to them, plug it into your computer and choose the option to Restore it. (Or on the device itself, to go Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.) -
