How do I transfer a single cookie from Firefox 24 on a Win XP computer to Firefox 24 on a Win 7 computer?

I have Firefox 24.0 on a Win7 computer that has to access a website which requires a cookie on that computer to complete the access, but that computer cannot have access to email - even temporarily - required to download the cookie. I do have the cookie on my WinXP computer, which is running the same version of Firefox, but I need to transfer ONLY the one cookie without loosing any of those that are currently installed.
Any help is appreciated - Jamie

If you're trying to manually copy cookies between browsers, this JavaScript bookmarklet may be useful - it allows you to access and modify the cookies of the current domain; this means you could run it in one browser, copy the cookies to clipboard, then run in another browser and paste.
Note that some apps may store browser-specific data (or flags) in cookies (or related components, like sessions), which may lead to strange behavior (e.g. "this-cookie-was-set-for-IE6=1, enable broken-browser-workarounds").

  • How do you transfer a single playlist from one mac to a new macbook?

I've just bought a new Mac Pro and would like to transfer a single playlist of mine from an iMac iTunes library to my own iTunes library without any of the other music in the library that is not on my playlist... any help?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload. Sign in and authorize the computer to your account before syncing.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data. If you don't have any Apple devices then see HT2519 - Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.

  • How do I transfer my music library from my ipod Clasic to a new computer

I  have an ipod classic and I would like to transfer all my library store in my ipod to my new Pc.  I read the instructions, but my itunes are different from the mac itunes I have the latest 10.63 and I'm not understanding what to do. My entire library is on the ipod and I hate to loose it.
    Can you please help me.
    Thank you Carmen Arocena

    1. In Windows Explorer, go to Tools > Folder Options > View. In the Advanced Settings list, under Hidden files and folders, check the radio button for “Show hidden files and folders”. Then click OK. You’ll get a Windows security warning but it’s safe enough to disregard it as we will only be disabling this function for a short while.
    2. Plug in your iPod. In Windows Explorer, a folder will now appear with the name of your iPod.
Double-click on that. Go to the sub-folders “iPod_Control” and then “music”. You’ll find your music there randomly scattered across multiple folders and with scrambled file names. But don’t worry, the ID3 tags are still fully intact and we are now going to “unscramble” the files.
    3. But first copy all the music from those iPod folders into a new folder on your hard-drive. Move all the songs into one single folder and discard all the folders that your iPod made. By the end, you should have one folder in your hard-drive with all the scrambled files together.
    4. Open up iTunes and do the following : Go to Edit > Preferences. Under the Advanced tab, under the General “sub-tab”, select the local folder where you have copied the music from your iPod (by clicking Change…).
Check the box “Keep iTunes Music folder organized” and click OK. Also make sure you have wiped all previous music from iTunes so your playlists are blank.
    5. In iTunes, click “File” then “add folder to library”. Select the folder where all your copied music is. iTunes will now re-import all your music back into the playlists. But more importantly, because you have previously clicked “Keep iTunes Music Folder organised”, iTunes will now start renaming and organising your songs into their correct names, albums and folders. This may take a while depending on how many songs you have in your iTunes library.

  • How do I transfer or sync music from a Ipod Nano to a new computer?

I have a new computer and have installed ITunes on it.  An existing Ipod Nano has my music files.  How do I sync or transfer the music from the Nano, so I can use those files on my Iphone?

If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
    1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
    2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
    3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPod Nano. And here is a guide about how to sync music from iPod nano back to computer. Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help.

  • How do I transfer my iTunes library from my iPhone 3GS to my new computer (old computer died)

I have an iPhone 3GS 32GB with 20GB of music on it from a previous computer's iTunes library.  I bought a new laptop (Sony Vaio with Windows 7) and downloaded iTunes (v10.5.3.3 and latest iOS on the iPhone).  iTunes lets me transfer purchases back to the laptop but not non-purchased material (i.e. stuff I imported from CDs I own).  Is there any way of transferring ALL the material back to the new laptop without re-copying every CD again?
I tried to follow the manual management option, but Windows Explorer only recognises my iPhone as Internal Storage for the camera files.
I spent hours today reading forums/communities to help me overcome the problem and to avoid asking a repeat question but nothing seems to have worked.  I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem.
    Thanks

" iTunes lets me transfer purchases back to the laptop but not non-purchased material (i.e. stuff I imported from CDs I own)."
That is correct.  The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The exception is itunes purchases.  the iphone is not a backup device and does not function as a storage drive.
it has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.n  Use your backup copy to put everything back.

  • How do you transfer mail with folders from a hard rive back to your computer's existing mail

    hi,
My computer crashed 3 weeks ago and i lost everything in the time capsule and could not retreive it back, then i had to send the drive to for retreiving all the datas.  I got the drive back and all my data is available but now i want to copy or import it back to my computer the same way that iwas earlier in the form of folders.  I dont know how to do it.  Can anyone assist in that.  Thanks

No, it's easier to post here in the forum... that's what the forum is intended for.
What kind of files are you transferring?
You have several options, according to what you want to do.
KB15643 What is BlackBerry Media Sync?
Also, you can simply connect your BlackBerry via USB cable to the PC. Now, your Media Card on the 8520 should appear in your PC file structure as a "removable drive" sometimes either driver letter e, f, or g. From there, you can simply drag and drop files from your PC to your Media Card as if it were another folder on your PC.

Don't agree. I have two accounts, one for work which I set up years ago and bought a few tracks. I've recently bought iPhone and iPad and created a home ID and wanted to transfer the old purchaces. Everyone says it can't be done, but I've done it.
    1. on the iPhone/iPad change your "store" Apple ID to the one you want ot transfer from.
    2. go into iTune on the device and download the purchaces.
    3. on you PC/Mac change the iTunes login to the same as the device's ID
    4. sync your device
    5. change both ID's back and the purchaces stay on both iTunes and your device.
    Delmar,
The procedure you describe is putting content from two different IDs into a single library, which can readily be done.
However, each item of purchased content will still be tied to the ID from which it was originally purchased, and they will be treated separately for purposes of Cloud, Match, Purchase History, etc.

  • 1st question: Can't Sync iPod touch 5th gen to another laptop, How do I sync it without loosing all of my music and info? 2nd question: How do I transfer a single onto the full album?

    I have two questions:
    1. When I first got an iPod touch (4th gen) I synced it (to start it up) on my mom's Mac Laptop. I finally got my own laptop and tryed to sync my music and info from my iPod to my ASUS laptop, but it said that the only way to do that was to clear all of my info. (I kinda forgot what it said my options were) but I am not sure what to do now. I want all of my stuff from my iPod on my laptop, but I don't want it to delete all of my stuff. Do I need to use a hard drive? Or download it another way other than syncing it?
    My second question was:
    2. I downloaded a single from iTunes before, but I ended up getting the full album later (CD) and downloaded it to my computer. Now I have two albums. One of them is just the single. And the other one is the whole album (other than the single). I want to put them together onto 1 album but I am not sure how to. How to I transfer the single onto the alum?
    Thank you

Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities
    - For the album, right click on the songs and click on Get Info. Go to the Info tab. Change the track or disk number of the one song so it fits in with that of the other songs.

  • How do you transfer Albums & their contents from Elements 11 into a later edition Elements 13. Thanks

How do you transfer Albums & their contents from Elements 11 into a later edition Elements 13. Thanks

Albums are lists which are stored into catalogs. They don't contain the images, they just keep a pointer to where the pictures are stored in your computer and the order to display them.
So your problem is with catalogs, not with albums.
If you have missed the message to convert the old current catalog at installation time, that's not a problem. You can use the menu File in the organizer, select 'Manage catalogs' which will show a 'convert' button. That is also necessary if you have more than one catalog.
The catalog is not a single file, it's a folder containing the main database, catalog.pse13b as well as other files and subfolders. The location of your current catalog can be found with the menu Help/System Info of the organizer. If you want to use another catalog, the organizer will search for other catalogs and provide a list to choose from.

How can I transfer a sound file from my "Voice Memos" app on my iPhone to my iPad?

In iTunes with your iPhone connected, click on the iPhone device, select the Apps tab, scroll down to the File Sharing section and pick an app that plays Quicktimes ("Files Connect" works in this example, but I'm open to suggestions of better apps for playing transferred Quicktimes) and drag your Quicktime from Finder to the Documents pane for the File Sharing app.   Once the file transfer is complete, go to the app on your iPhone to play the Quicktime.

  • How can I restore a single image from an aperture time machine backup, do I have to restore the entire library? that does not make sense

I hope there has been found a more efficiant solution for this,  how can I restore a single image from an aperture time machine backup, I really hope I don't have to restore the entire library? that does not make sense
    any suggestions?

Did you try browsing your backups in the Finder ?  That is, do not go and "Enter Time Machine".  Instead, navigate to your Time Machine backup via Finder and then manually go to the time period (by folder name) you are looking for ... when you find your Aperture library you can then "Show Package Contents" and find the Master you are looking for.
