I just purchased a macbook air. I installed Firefox on the Air and would like to transfer my Bookmarks from my Dell pc to the Air.

There also is a new Sync feature in Firefox 4, but I haven't used it yet and don't know whether it makes sense to start out that way.

That's true but other stuff can be Transferred from phone to phone using an App in the Playstore it's a Motorola one called Motorola Migrate Using this App you can Transfer stuff from you Droid 4 over to your new Motorola if you can get to the Playstore and Install this app it should be able to move your stuff over

There's several options available, they're not perfectly but from my experience they work just fine. Here's an example of just two -

You can only transfer photos via USB that you took yourself with the camera and are on the Camera Roll. If you are trying to transfer other photos I think you can transfer using third party software, or possibly mail them to yourself (?).

I've already set up my new MacBook (which is Lion, I think the other mac had the snow lepoard version)...so I guess I'll have to use the Migration Assistant, not the Setup Assistant? I know if I do that it'll set up a new user account instead of synching it up like I wanted but that's OK. But when I plugged my external drive into the new mac, it just backed up the mac and didn't give me an option to transfer files. I guess I'll study this link and see if I can't figure it out...thanks for the link! If you have any other advice about specifically migration assistant, let me know...

So far I have only been able to transfer the items purchased from itunes. How do I transfer the songs that I had previously had in my library?

The iphone is not a backup device.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. the only exception is itunes purchases.
If your backup copy of your comptuer was not stolen, then use it to put evefrything back.
Otherwise, you may be able to buy software to move the music.
