How do I transfer iTunes music from one user to another?

WITHOUT deleting from the original user iTunes
I only have 1 itunes account

Copy the iTunes Music folder in Music to the other account using a external drive or the Shared Folder on the root directory.
Use Finder > Go To Folder and enter
and press Go, click on your hard drive name, then Users then Shared folder.
However the playlists and song locations pathnames are written for the other user, but that can be edited with a Text Editor and "find and replaced" to match the pathname of the other user of the iTunes.db file.
Likely the permisisons will have to be changed to that other user as well, when copied to the other User, Finder > Get Info on the folder and change the permisisons to the other user (or everyone) and click the spoky thing to "apply to enclosed items"

  • How do I transfer iTunes music from one account to another?

My family has always shared the same account for iTunes and we all have our own seperate libraries on different computers. But now, I'm making my own iTunes account and I obviously want my library to go from the old account to my new one. Is there any way to transfer my old music library to my new account?
(I have about 3000 songs and they were all purchased from iTunes except for about 200 of them... if that helps in any way)

how do i transfer iTunes money from one account to another? also forgot security question answers

You can't, an account's balance cannot be transferred to another account, nor can it be used to gift content to another account - it can only be used to buy content for the account that it's on.
For your security questions, if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then you can use that to reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset, and if you don't already have a rescue email address, you can then add one for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620
Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

    Lisa,
Just get copies of the song files and add them to your iTunes library.  With the exception of any DRM-protected files (purchased before mid-2009 and never upgraded) they will play fine, even though they are technically associated with the original account.

  • How do I transfer my music from one account to another

I'm trying to figure out how t transfer my music from one account to another since someone hacked into my girlfriends account and now iTunes locked her account as a one account use only and majority of my music was bought with my card. Is there any way to transfer all my purchased music into my new account? I still have the music I purchased on my pc.

You can't, all content is tied to the account that purchased / downloaded it and it can't be copied or transferred to a different account.

  • How do I transfer Itune credit from one account to another?

My father mistakingly put $50 into his account and thought he could transfer most to me (as he won't be needing the full amount). Is there any new updates as to transferring Itunes credit from one account to another. If not, Is there a way where i can use my personal devices, and use the Itunes credit that my father won't be neeing?
    Thank you in advance.
    J

Either ask the iTunes Store staff to put the entire balance back onto the card, or your father to pay you an amount equal to the credit he won't need.

  • Copy iTunes Music from one User to Another, Same iMac

I'm running OS X 10.7, iTunes 10, and I want to copy  (not share, _copy_) my iTunes music library from one user to another on the same iMac.
Please don't give me a solutioon that works on your OS X 10.5 or 10.6 software as 10.7 seems to be quite different and those answers do not work.

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu, provide /Users/Shared/ as the path, drag it to that folder, log in from the other account, and copy it from there. Alternatively, log in from the other account, open the first account's home folder, drag it to the desired location, and authenticate when prompted.

  • How do i transfer my music from one laptop to another

I have just bought a new laptop and have installed itunes straight in to it. How do I get my music from the itunes on my old laptop to my new one, I do have an iphone but when I connect it to my new laptop and find it in 'my computer' the music file doesn't seam to be present. Any suggestions?

You will have to move them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to the new one.
Type "move itunes library" into the Google search bar.

  • How do I transfer my music from one computer to another?

I just bought a new Mac. My iTunes library was on an external hard drive associated with my old Mac. When I import the music, it creates a large "unknown album" with music that was previously identified -- mostly WAV and AIFF files. How do I get iTunes to recognize the structure of my old library?

Note that WAV files are special in that the track information is not embedded in them as tags.  When you move an individual WAV file the track data does not travel with it.  Anyway, what you really want to do in your situation is:
iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings:  Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive.  Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.
With the above method your library will appear exactly as it was on your old computer.

  • HT1751 How can I move iTunes Music from one drive to another?

I'm having trouble ... hoping someone can help.
    Windows XP Pro.
My MP3s were on a networked Data Drive (Z:).  I drag the songs I want on iTunes from there to the iTunes program, and it's library
    was in the "normal" place (\Documents and Settings\MyName\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music ).
I copied my iTunes library folder onto an external drive and also copied the Z drive MP3s onto the external drive. I then put the MP3s
on a new computer with Windows XP Pro, downloaded the latest version of iTunes on the new computer, and then drug the iTunes
folder from the external drive onto the new computer in the exact same "normal" place as above.
When I open iTunes, my music is not there for some reason.  Is there any way to correct this sort of readding all my music and all
    my cover art?
    Thank you.

    Thank you for the response.
I cannot find the file   iTunes Library.itl   ...
I have the structure you mention:
<User's Music>\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl where <User's Music> is the music folder of the profile as defined by the operating system.
but that file is not there (I looked in the preferences of iTunes in order to find the location and that is the location it stated).
"iTunes can be connected to a library in a different location by holding down shift as you start it and clicking Choose from the options to Choose or Create a library."
I can do this, but again, there is no .itl file that I can find ... now I'm more confused         Of course, if I fire up my old computer, there is no drive Z any longer, so while all my music appears on iTunes, I cannot click on any as it then will not be able to find the song on the drive that no longer exists.
I am going to do a search on the old computer for that .itl file to see if it was just in some other place for some reason.
