I just received a new iPod nano 7th generation and want to transfer my playlists in iTunes to the nano. I have been unable to find instructions for this in the manual or online. Can you help???

This is going to depend on how you are syncing music to your iPod nano. If you are automatically syncing, what option do you have selected in this menu? (Entire music library, or Selected content)
You may want to uncheck the "Sync Music" box, apply the changes, then recheck the box, and apply the changes once more. This will instruct iTunes to completely remove all music from your iPod, and then copy the files once more. If you have a large amount of music, this initial sync may take a while.

ITunes doesn't recognize IPod Nano 7th Generation

ITunes doesn't recognize my IPod Nano 7th Generation. I get a message saying "An IPod has been detected but could not be identified properly". My Windows 7 computer shows the IPod Nano as a removable drive until I launch ITunes at which point it disappears from the list of removable drives. I even disabled my security software (Norton 360 but not Spybot S & D) and it didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions..............Thanks

I purchased an ipod nano 7th generation today. Plugged it into my computer...my computer recognizes the device but itunes will not. I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and follwed all other directions in troubleshooting. As soon as I open itunes it even disappears from 'my computer'. Please help.

Delete a playlist:
1 On the Home screen, tap Music > Playlists.
2 Flick down, then tap Edit.
3 Tap next to the playlist you want to delete, then tap Delete when it appears next to the playlist. If you tapped the wrong playlist, tap the one you want to remove.
4 Tap Delete, or tap Cancel if you change your mind.
5 When you finish, flick up, then tap Done (or swipe right to return to the Home screen if you cancel).

Easily done. Insert the flash drive into your computer, and open it so it looks like a folder. In iTunes, highlight the tracks you want (or use CTRL+A to highlight an entire list at once) and drag them into that open folder.
If you normally run iTunes in full-screen mode, make it smaller so that you can do the drag.
The only complication may be the format. Many iTunes users use AAC format, which is rejected by many car players. If that is an issue, you can first use iTunes to convert the songs to the more convenient MP3 format, by this guide:

Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.

Now, it will not sync the movie unless it is on the computer I bought the movie from. Because I erased my iPod on the computer I bought the movie, I have to download my iPod to the computer I bought the movie on in order to sync the movie to my iPod. How do I shuffle a playlist during a workout on an ipod nano 7th generation? The only shuffle option I see is for all songs, not a specific playlist. I know that I can begin a workout using the now playing option. This will allow me to shuffle a playlist in the begining of my workout, but if I want to change music I cannot get back into shuffle mode unless I select the shuffle all songs option.
