How do I transfer large number of photos to my PC or a CD?

I have several hundred photos that I need to burn to multiple CDs. How can I transfer these pics to my PC to do this? Please Help. Thanks!

When you plug your iPad into your computer do you see a popup window to import/view photos? (I'm on a PC)
If you don't see that, double click on 'my computer' and then navigate to your device and the DCIM folder. See if the photos you want are located in those folders. If so, simply drag and drop from the iPad onto your computer then use your burning software to make your CD's.

    You don't need iTunes for that. Simply connect the iPhone to the PC where it will be recognized as a camera. You can then select the photos you wish to transfer, transfer them, and delete them.

    I have a large number of photos imported into iPhoto with the dates wrong.  How can I adjust multiple photos (with varying dates) to the same, correct, date?

    If I understand you correctly, when you enter a date in the Adjust Date and Time window, the picture does not update with the date you enter.  If that is the case then something is wrong with iPhoto or your perhaps your library.
    How large a date change are you putting in?  iPhoto currently has an issue with date changes beyond about 60 years at a time.  If the difference between the current date on the image and the date you are entering is beyond that range that may explain why this is not working.
    If that is not the case:
    Remove the following to the trash and restart the computer and try again:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.iphoto
    Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iPhoto (There may be more than one. Remove them all.)
    ---NOTE: to get to the "home > library" hold down option on the keyboard and click on "Go" > "Library" while in the Finder.
    Let me know the results.

  • Help in sharing a large number of photos?

    I am looking for a reasonably quick way of sharing a large number of photos with other members of my church as well as on other occasions family and friends.
    The photos are all loaded onto my iPad at their original resolution and are high quality .jpegs taken with a Nikon DSLR (D7000).
    I would prefer to use something "cloud" based rather than a commercial enterprise if possible but don't know how to do it.
    Can someone give me some suggestions?  I am a long time PC user and am pretty adept at Windows but a stymied by the Apple system, particularly my inability, seemingly to really delete individual photos without finding them all over again somewhere else on the iPad.  Delete "everywhere" seems not to be quite accurate to describe what happens.
    Thanks for helping me out.

    Try sharing it via photostream. It makes a link so people with non iOS devices can view them all you do is forware it to their emails........
    heres a link for photstream.  Good luck!
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4379
    Follow the steps below to create a shared photo stream. Note that you cannot share all the photos in My Photo Stream at one time. However, you can select images from it to create a shared photo stream.
    On your device using iOS 6:
    From the Home screen, tap Photos.
    Tap the Photo Stream tab. (Note: You can also share images from your Camera Roll or an album in your Camera Roll. Tap the Albums tab, then tap Camera Roll or an Album. Continue with steps 4-7 below.)
    Tap My Photo Stream, then tap Edit.
    Tap each photo you'd like to add to the shared photo stream. A check mark will appear on selected photos. Tap Share.
    Tap Photo Stream. (If this is not your first shared photo stream, you'll need to select New Photo Stream from the Add to a Photo Stream list.)
    Enter the email addresses of the people with whom you'd like to share this new photo stream. Type in a name for your photo stream. To share this photo stream on iCloud.com, move the Public Website slider to the ON position. If you will be sharing your stream with someone who does not have an iCloud account, you will need to make the stream public. People without an iCloud account can view the stream in a web browser. Tap Next.
    Optionally, you can add a comment for your new stream to introduce it. Tap Post.
    To share a Stream with someone who wishes to view it from a web browser, or to post a shared photo stream to Facebook or Twitter:
    Find the name of the shared photo stream from your list of photo streams and tap the blue arrow on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Tap Edit on your iPad, then tap the name of the shared photo stream.
    Tap Share Link.
    To share with Facebook or Twitter, Tap either Facebook or Twitter, and tap Post.
    To send the link in a message or email, tap Message or Email.
    You can also opt to tap the Copy a link URL so that you can post it elsewhere.

  • How to add a large number of keywords to the e-mail filter?

    Hello.
    I would like to know how to add a large number of keywords to a filter.
    The thing I want to accomplish, is it to add around 4000 e-mail addresses to a filter list, which checks the body of incoming e-mails, which get forwarded to me.
    I don't want to outright delete them, but I would love it if it detects that the forwarded message contains one of the e-mail addresses, it would add a tag to the message.
    Is it in any way possible to make a filter like this, which doesn't slow Thunderbird down to ass-crawl speed?
    I tried to copy the whole list into the small filter tab, but It had no discernible effect on my messages, since some of the previously received ones, which I was sure contained the keywords, were not tagged. All it did was make the program super slow and I was forced to delete the filter.

    You can look at creating a exclusion crawl rule:

    You can also modify your content source starting addresses and remove onedrive:

  • How do I delete large numbers of photos on ios7

    How do I delete large numbers of photos from ios7. I haven't got my MacBook with me

    In the Photos.app you can select all photos in a "Moment" at once, by pressing "Select" to the right of the "Moment" name. Then press the Trash icon.
    For example:

  • I have a large number of photos I'd like to delete from my ipad 2 however from reading previous comments it seems I have to unsync from the original source computer. I'm in another country now and don't have access to it.  Is there another way?

    You should be able to do this via the iPad directly.  Open the Photos application and the forward arrow, then select all of the photos you want to delete and click the red delete button.

  • Selecting large number of photos

    I have recently installed ilife 08. When I am in an event and want to select a large number of photos, I click on the first one and try to scroll down. When I stop scrolling, the screen jumps back to the first photo, making it very hard to select them all. Anyone else encountered this and know why?

    Usually I find that when I want new events the photos I want to use are at the end of the event -- if you start up from the bottom until you find the first photo you want in the new event select it and click split -- that photo and all below it will now be in a new untittled event. You can continue on up the event and do this multiple times if needed.
    If this does not do it select some of the photos you want in the new event and click new event. This will give you a new event with some photos in it - then go back to the original event and select more photos and cut them then paste them into the new event - repeat as necessary to complete the "move"

  • NIO- how to best transfer large binary files 200mb

    Hi there,
    For my dissertation I am in the process of implementing a LAN- NIO based distributed system most of it is working except I cant figure out how to best transfer large files >200mb.
    1. Client registers as available
    2. Server notifies that a job is available on file x
    3. Client requests file x
    4. Server transfers file x- without reading the whole file into memory-
    5- Client does its thing and tells the server the results are ready-
    6. Server requests results.
    This is all implemented, except for the actual file transfers, which just wont work the way I want it. I got access to a shared drive that I could copy to and from, but Java still reads all bytes fully into memory. I did a naughty workaround of calling windows native copy command ( runtime() ) which does the trick, though I would prefer that my app did the file handling since I need to know when things are done.
    Can anyone provide me with a link to an example / tutorial of how to do this, or is there a better way of transferring large files like tunneling, streaming, ftp or the old way of splitting into chunks with headers (1024 bits, byteFlip() etc) how is this usually done out there in the proper world?
    I did search the forum, and found hints and tips though I thought perhaps I would see if there is a best practice for this problem--
    Thanks,
    Thorsan

    Hi,
    I have tried various approaches with out much luck, think part of the problem is I have never done file transfers in java over networks before...
    At the moment I let the user select files from a JFileChooser, and store the String path+filename in a list. When a file is to be transferred I do the following:
    static void copyNIO(File f, String newFile) throws Exception {
            File f2 = new File(newFile);
            FileChannel src = new FileInputStream(f).getChannel();
            FileChannel dst = new FileOutputStream(f2).getChannel();
            dst.transferFrom(src, 0, src.size());
            src.close();
            dst.close();
        }This lets me copy the file to wherever I want to without going through a socket, since I am developing in a lan environment this was ok for debugging. Though sooner or later it has to go through the network.
    I have allso played around with ObjectOutputStream and ObjectInputStream but again I just cant figure out how to inhibit my source from loading the whole file into memory. I want to read / write in blocks to keep the memory usage to a minimal.
