How do I transfer music from my iPhone 4 to my new MacBook Pro

I just got a new 15 inch MacBook Pro for my birthday, and I want to transfer my music from my iPhone 4 to my iTunes on my new MacBook Pro. I have already downloaded an app called diskaid and another one called tuneaid but neither of those worked. Is there a free and easy way to do this? Please help!

He probably bought the music directly on his iPhone. If thats the case, just set up your account and phone on that computer then transfer your purchases over to that computer. If you bought from a separate computer, you'll need to transfer from that computer to the new one, like a brody said above.

Syncing is NOT limited to purchases music. You do not need to purchase anything, just learn how to select and sync (not upload) thru iTunes. What does "not let me upload" mean? What is occurring when you try and what are you doing?

For iTunes purchases File > Devices > Transfer Purchases should copy them over.
