How do i transfer my history to another search engine

I'm taking an on-line math course and I want to transfer the current status of the lesson I'm working on to IE just in case I have to use IE to continue with the courses (actually the last seven days of activity)

Such progression state is possibly stored in a cookie, so you could try to import cookies from other browser if that is possible in IE (Firefox could do this in the Library; Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks).

Drag them or the entire iTunes library there. If you want the active iTunes library to be there, once done, launch iTunes with the Shift key held down and choose it.

You can also go on Apple's website to edit your Support Profile to delete ownership registration of your product(s).
The new user then simply registers his "new" device, also online. Once you have deleted ownership, the serial number is freed for a user (new owner) to add it. The new owner should obtain an Apple ID first.

    From your OLD computer...
Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

I was gifted an album I already own. How do I transfer that gift to another album?

You can't change the item that was gifted, the person that sent it to you can try resending it to somebody else : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1541
Or, and if they've been charged for it, they can try contacting support for a credit or refund : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

how can i transfer my contacts to another phone? can anyone help, please?

This can be done via iTunes, iCloud. What other type of phone are you trying to transfer them too? There are other 3rd party programs that can do it. An app called MCBackup will backup your contacts to a text/vcard file and you can email it to another device.

  • How to set another search engine in safari?

    hi all
can anybody tell how to set another search engine than google/yahoo in safari (e.g. Bing)?
    thank you

At this stage, I don't know of any workarounds (or available plugins) for Safari for Windows 4.0.4 that allow you to put a different search engine option in the search field.
The workaround I've been using is to pin a Bing window into my Top Sites.
You can send an enhancement request to Apple about it. Although it doesn't look to be set up for it, if you bring up your Menu Bar and go "Help > Report bugs to Apple", you can use that bug report form to ask for enhancements. I was skeptical about that to begin with, but apparently they check that for feature enhancement requests, according to the following document. (It's mentioned right down the very bottom.)

  • How do you open a DVD/file in another search engine

how do you open a DVD/file in another search engine?

    Hi
I think it is simpler than that: place DVD in computer and then try to run a video from the disk. It will not run using Safari, but I know it runs in Firefox which I have on the computer.
I believe that I can depress one of the moifier keys while clicking an item on the application menu bar to open a menu where you can open the dvd using Firefox or another application.
Should be simple, but yet to find solution.

  • Don't like Google. How add another search engine?

I suppose the headline says it all: I used to be a fan of Google way back then. But as I rather support smaller businesses, I'd like to add e.g. www.clusty.com as default search engine instead.
    How can I do that?

keats2010: Apology accepted and appreciated and I apologize myself if I came across as rude. But I assume you understood that your reply wasn't at all what I asked for (and also a suggestion that I'm so daft that I don't know how to even find/use another search engine) and therefore meaningless.
And to be fair: it wasn't "bee" but "Golden shoes" that provided a relevant reply. "bee" has merely carried out his role as self appointed monitor/moderator. I'm still trying to figure out what he/she meant by "You came across as someone who wanted to help. "
    Cheers!

How do you erase your history on the search field ( the first page you swipe to, on the left)?

Ah, I understand now. You don't want to erase the search history. You want to prevent search from accessing old data. The only way to do that is to restore the phone as new.

  • How to make my site top in the search engines for a high ranking?

I am new at this, and I am planning to build a big site on iweb, but my question is where can I get information on how to make my site with high rankings? Would I have to post my site in lots of search engines, or have the hosting company help out? how do i do this?

As SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is important to you, you may want to consider alternatives to iWeb as "iWeb websites are not made to be search engine friendly" — read more here:
SEO For iWeb: How to get your iWeb Websites into Google & Other Major Search Engines
...iWeb is designed for personal sites and, as such, Apple apparently thinks there's no need for Google — you tell grandma the URL of your personal iWeb site, she painstakingly types it in and then gazes admiringly at the photos of her grandchildren.
Apple hasn't changed this approach in three iterations of iWeb but perhaps, with all the feedback it receives on this issue, there's still hope. Meanwhile, web-design apps for business sites tend to integrate search engine optimization — Sandvox Pro is an example:
    http://www.karelia.com/sandvox/getyour_site_noticed_andb.html
Another advantage of Sandvox is that, when viewing your site in Safari, the text increase & decrease commands will work — they don't work for an iWeb-created site. ...For business use, it's important that customers don't turn away from your site because they consider your text too small to read.
However, if you still really want to use iWeb, this article may help:

By the way, for more info about SEO in general, this blog of a web-design app (Yola) recently started a multi-part series on the subject — the first is here:
