How do i transfer my music from an old apple id account to a new one?

I am recently divorced. All of my song purchases are on an old account that i shared with my wife. I have created a new account, but now I would like all of my old songs transferred to this new account so that i can continue to listen to these songs and update my ipod. Has anyone dealt with this before?

You can't there isn't a way to transfer or merge Apple ID accounts.

HT2728 How would I transfer my information from my old Macbook Air (2008) to the new one I purchased today?

Today I ordered my new MacBook Air - and am looking for advice on how I might best transfer all the information off my old MacBook Air to the new one. There are not many ports available on the old MacBook Air (2008/9) and of course the new MacBook Air comes with more ports and connectivity.
Appreciate any advice that you can give me.

Use an external drive with Time Machine or Clone your HD to the external.
When you start the new one, setup manager will ask if you want to migrate from another disk, time machine etc.
This will only require 1 usb port.

Do you already have Time Machine making backups onto the 2TB drive? If so, after you get the internal drive replaced, boot up into the recovery partition (hold down ⌘R) and restore the latest Time Machine backup that you have onto the new internal drive.
I recommend always having two backups. I'd use SuperDuper to make a complete clone of your internal drive onto an external drive in addition to having the Time Machine backup.
Boot Camp is what is used to make partitions for Windows. How much space to allocate depends on how much space you expect Windows to use up based on how you plan to use it.

You imported the songs from CD into iTunes - correct? The songs are in your iTunes library on the computer. Once again, there is no need for iTunes on the iPad to see the songs.
Are you talking about iTunes Match? If not, why does iTunes need to see the songs? The songs are in the Music app.

Also keep in mind that unless the media are DRM protected (all movies, and all music prior to about 2009) once you have the files on your computer (which you should if you purchased these) then their use is pretty flexible. It is really when you start getting into re-downloading or trying to use iCloud services that multi-account services are tough. Even then you can try using Family Sharing or Home Sharing to facilitate using media from different accounts.
