iClouds saves photo's in your photo stream, If you want to save those to your phone , just save them to your camera roll. If you can not see your photo stream on your phone. Go to Settings>iCloud>Photos, and turn on my photo stream. Then once you are connected to wi-fi you should see your photostream on your device.

How do you transfer Excel file into iCloud from PC?

I have an Excel file on my PC and want to be able to retrieve it on my MacBook Pro and iPhone 4. I've tried dragging the file from the desktop on my PC into the iCloud screen on my PC, but I don't see where it is on my Mac or iPhone.

Ok, got the iOS explanation.
I understand now. I've installed Numbers on both my MacBook and iPhone...and have tunred on Numbers on my iPhone.
I have another problem. Since I've linked my Yahoo! calendar to iCloud, I cannot retrieve any of my Yahoo! items on my iPhone. It worked fine before. Any thoughts?

iCloud isn't designed to free up space on your iPad. It's designed to sync your data to other devices you have connected to your iCloud account, and to store your backups. It will only store your pictures as part of your overall iPad backup, but they cannot then be accessed except by restoring the entire backup back to your iPad. iCloud will only store your music if you subscribe to iTunes Match, which is separate from your iCloud account.
If you need to free up space on your iPad, you can import your photos to your computer and delete them off your iPad as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. You can also remove some or all of your music by unchecking the songs you don't want on your iPad on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.

In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access. You cannot view Photo Stream photos on iCloud.com.
To view Photo Stream photos on your desktop you need a Mac running OS X 10.7.5 or later or a PC (via iCloud Control Panel) running Windows Vista or later.

PC: Install iCloud Control Panel > Sign In > enable Photos

You cannot use Apple TV.. again the TC is not a media device and has no media extensions.
You can store video files on the TC.. but the ATV must work either via airplay so you run the video on an ipad for instance and send the screen view to the apple tv or you have itunes running on a computer.
BTW a WD live TV can play video files from a TC.. because it is a true media player.. the Apple TV is not a media player.. it is a streamer.
