I have a 5GB Zen Micro and have updated firmware 2 weeks ago.
Also, when I connect my device I am prompted to synch with Windows Media Player. How do I add Zen Micro Media Explorer to that list.

The first thing you will have to do is import the music that is currently in your Windows Media Player library over to your iTunes library because that is the only way you will be able to sync any music to it. I for one appreciate all the hardwork and help you have been giving the people on theses lists, especially with the problems associated with the "importing playlists" from windows media. Unfortunately I need more help if you or someone else can provide it. I followed all the steps you have instructed so far in the threads I have seen. Unfortunately nothing so far works for me. Maybe you or someone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I tried the notepad++ method and when I click on save I always get a notepad file that my iTunes can't do anything with. I click the "convert to UTF-8 without BOM" then click save as and it still saves as a notepad file. I am also unable to find the \n\ file path to replace with my \C:\ filepath. Here is a copy of the first part of one of my playlists:

I am new to web programming I am developing an application through which a client can play media file.
I am getting problem in,how to communicate servlet through windows media player.
I have developed the basic architecture of my application using tiger server,now I want to open media file through windows media player using openURL option(http request).
Can any body guide me how to build a servlet which can listen this request and how to respond appropriately

Your sevlet will have to set the response contentType to the appropriate mime type

and contentLength to the file size (in bytes), then open the mp3/wma file and write the bytes to the servlet output stream.
You could also choose to return an asx file (an xml document containing a url of the media file), and windows media player will automatically lookup the mp3/wma file stored on your web server.

Anyway, I have 56 songs transfered from Windows Media Player to iTunes. I've done this over the course of one and half years at about every two or three month intervals. Every time I discovered new songs something changed in my Mom's PC and I would have to import into iTunes differently; for example, I would convert the songs and then just drag and drop into iTunes or save the playlist as a format that could be converted in iTunes. Right now I have about twenty songs in WMP waiting for iTunes. When I do drag and drop songs from WMP to iTunes they appear in iTunes but they won't sync to my Nano. They won't convert to AAC file either. Now, these are songs from the internet and that is exactly how iTunes reads them; files from a website. Is there anyway to get my songs into iTunes? I tried everything Dave Sawyer and Chris CA said but nothing seems to be working!

Why would you need to burn all your songs to CD? iTunes will import your MP3 files (and non-protected WMA). Playlists cannot, but can always be recreated.

Trying to load songs i have on my Windows media player to my ipod, computer won't regonise ipod and let me synch.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?

How to disable autoplay in windows media player, normally play FLAC and watch AVI with two or more audio streams

0x1) is there a way to disable annoying autoplay feature in windows media player: when i play music in "now playing" mode and insert a disc which contains some video WMP stops playing music and asks me to play that disc or starts playing without any questions (e.g. when i insert DVD). in addition when WMP asks before playing it proposes three options: resume playing, go to library and play previous list. choosing "resume playing" you'll not resume the music just played, you'll start playing inserted disc. if you choose "play previous list", it also won't continue the playlist i was just playing, rather a playlist or track before the one i was just playing! very strange behaviour, isn't it?
note that this happends only in "now playing" mode, when library is active everything works fine.
please don't tell to go to control panel and change autoplay settings: it takes no effect. it works when WMP is not started or if WMP is not in "now playing" mode, otherwise WMP ignores that settings and demonstrates his "very intellectual"automatic playing.
0x2) when playing FLAC files windows media player doesn't show progress indicator, it always is positioned at the beginning (or at the place where you've positioned it). if i select multiple FLAC files and click "play with windows media player" it will play only the last file from the selected list.
0x3) when playing AVI files with two or more audio tracks WMP plays only one of them and gives no opportunity to change autio track. in wmp of vista it plays all the audio tracks at the same time (!).
If there is no solution for these problems, please tell me where i can send a feedback about my complaints?

i use K-Lite 5.2 full codec pack. in the k-lite codec tweak tool report i see madFLAC.ax installed. i'll try the Xiph.org filters.

How do I insert a windows media player video on my webpage?

Hi
I want to insert a video in windows media player on my webpage. (actually I want to insert 3 on the 1 page, but to start with, I'll be happy with 1!)
Dreamweaver says that it doesnt recognise the file type, and the dreamweaver help is pretty bad on this topic.

Flash Video is the gold standard used on YouTube, FaceBook, MySpace and other video sharing sites now. DW makes it easy to insert Flash Video but tougher for other file types.

How do I install letest Windows Media Player to view a webinar?

Trying to view an archived webinar. When I click on "view webinar" it says something like "Known issues with firefox 3.6. Use another browser."
When I went to the Firefox plugin page, it said "Windows Media Player 11 not available. What can I do now?
