You can use the desktop version of iTunes app to transfer PDF files between your iPad and MacBook Pro.
Please take a look at the following FAQ document.

Alternatively, if you use Acrobat.com (cloud storage), you can upload/save all of your PDF files on Acrobat.com and access them from your new iPad.

  • How do I transfer PDF files from PC to IPAD using Itunes 12.1.2.  Previous versions let me drag file in Itunes to Ipad and files appeared under Ibook but can't get it to work in latest 12.1.2 version.

How do I transfer PDF files from PC (Windows 7) to IPAD using Itunes 12.1.2.  I would like to do files manually rather then auto synch.  Previous versions let me drag file in Itunes to Ipad and files appeared under Ibook and then I could move them to an appropriate collection title.  The interface appears to have changed in the latest ITunes version and I am not sure what the proper procedure is.

King_Penguin - Thanks it worked perfectly.  I had my pdf files copied into ITunes on my PC but when I clicked on a pdf file to copy it I thought the sidebar would appear with my IPAD name and then I would drag it over.  I didn't realize that I needed to click-and start dragging it towards the left-hand side for the sidebar to appear.  It worked like a charm - THANKYOU!!!

  • How can I transfer PDF files from my Apple to my iPad?

I can transfer "Word" documents from my Apple to my iPad by adding, within iTunes, the required files to the App. Pages and then sync.
I can also add PDF files to my Pages App in iTunes using the same method, BUT I can't open them in Pages - only the Word documents open.
Do I need a different to read PDF files in iPad or am I just doing it wrongly?
    Help - please

I don't have the Pages app (but I think that it may only supports exporting as PDF, not reading them), but if you have the iBooks app then you can sync them to that via iTunes : add the PDFs to your computer's iTunes (File > Add File To Library) and they should then appear in the Books part of your Library, and you can then sync them to the iBooks app via the Books tab that appears on the right-hand side of iTunes when you've selected the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side.
There are also other free PDF apps e.g. Adobe Reader

  • How can I transfer Microsoft office from my old macbook pro to macbook air

how can I transfer microsoft office from macbook pro to macbook air?

Assuming you have the 2011 version the easiest way is go to Microsoft's Web site and download Mac Office 2011 onto your MacBook Air and then run it. If you have the 2008 (or the 2011) version on disc you can turn on DVD sharing in the Sharing control panel of your MBP and install it by remotely sharing your MBP's DVD.
Since Microsoft uses activation when you start Office on the new computer if you use the same activation code as you used on the MBP you'll probably get a message to call Microsoft. Do so and just explain that you got a new computer.

  • How do I transfer PDF files from Adobe to my iPad?

I need to transfer manuels to my Apple iPad from Adobe _ Reader but it is blocked by a password apparently set by Adobe.

You'll need to explain your problem in more detail. Do you see a password required when you view it in Reader/Acrobat on Macintosh or Windows?
Reader for iOS doesn't support password-protected PDF files.

  • How do I transfer my files from iPad to NEW computer?

PLEASE help!!!! My old computer crashed so I had to buy a NEW computer. I have all my music, apps and books on my iPad. I trried to do the "transfer apps" in the iTunes but it only transfered my apps NOT my music or books. All my music and books are from 3rd party sites ( not bought from iTunes). My books are mainly PDF files. I just need to get into the iPad somehow and drag and drop my folders back into iTunes. I tried doing the "show hidden folders" but I still get nothing Can anybody help me? I don't want to lose all my books or music!

I am going to lose everything I spent so much time downloading.
Don't worry. If you've been backing up your downloads, you can't lose anything. That's what backups are for - to prevent data loss in the event of a crashed hard drive or other unforeseen catastrophy.
If I KNEW how to restore my Library from the most recent backup of my crashed computer I'm sure I would have done so right?
OK, so I'll assume from that comment that you have been making backups - which is a very good start - you just don't know how to restore them, right? If you tell us how you made the backups (what software you use, where you back up to), then I'm sure someone will be able to advise on how to restore from those backups. In the meantime, the user guide for your backup software should have a section on restoring from backups.

  • How do I transfer my files from iTunes to WindowsXP Pro or visa versa?

I'd like to be able to figure out how to transfer music files out of iTunes to Windows Media, and from Windows media to itunes.
I've got a bunch of lecutures in both, but both don't do what I need them to do. In a perfectworld, I'd be able to get iTunes to sync to my mp3 player and give Windows Meda Player a swift kick into the ether where it belongs!!!
It appears there was a little box entitled "write protect" that was clicked over the last few years as I was ripping my lectures on to Windows Media Player that now won't let me move those files much of anywhere.
Could someone please help me figure this out?
    Thanks!

If the Copy protect music option was selected in your WMP Rip Music settings, your only alternative is probably going to be burning the files affected as Audio CD's, uncheck the Copy protect music option and then reimport the CD into iTunes - or import it directly into iTunes.
If the files currently in iTunes are .mp3's, you can just copy them to a location WMP can access them. If they're .m4a files, though, you will have to convert them to .mp3's first.

  • How can i transfer my apps from ipad to macbook

Sorry i´m a new user of macbook. I try to transfer my apps from my ipad to
    my new macbook pro.
I try it with the tutorial and i tranfer my apps from itunes and autorize my new macbook
but i can see in my folder the apps but it doesnt work making double click.
    Thank you

emijogar, you can backup your iPad apps on your MacBook Pro (using iTunes), but you can't actually run those apps on your laptop.
Mac desktops and laptops run OSX, but iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches run iOS. These are two different operating systems. That's why they have different App Stores (the Mac App Store for OSX, and the iTunes App Store for iOS).
You can't run OSX apps on mobile devices, and you can't run mobile apps on a laptop or desktop.
It's sorta like trying to put a bicycle tyre on a car. It just doesn't fit.
However, many OSX apps have iOS versions, and vice versa. Just check the App Stores to see what's available.

  • How do i transfer an ibook from desktop to macbook pro

I have a second hand mac book pro and need to transfer my ibook files from a desktop to the laptop. How do I do it?

If it's just one small book, eMail it to yourself, as an attachment.
    Open Apple mail.
    Open a new message.
    Address the eMail to yourself.
Drag the book image onto the new message and it will be added as an attachment.
    Send the eMail to yourself.
Open the eMail in your MacBook Pro.
Click on the attachment and open it.
This way you don't have to buy Firewire cords, that can be expensive and go to target mode, etc.
      * Note: Some providers don't like zipped books in the mail, so attach it in .pdf, .html, .lit form.
** Note: Some providers have size limits on eMail.
If yours does, go with dragging the image onto a USB Flash Drive.
Staples, Walmart, etc. sell the size you need for less than $ 5.00

  • How do I transfer CS5.5 from an old macbook pro to a new one via firewire?

My old MacBook Pro fried its graphics card and I need to transfer all of my data across to my new macBook Pro. I have everything backed up on a hard drive but when I try to open it it says that i can't because t is on a Time Machine Back-up. How do I get it to open? Do i need to get a new serial number? Not sure what to do from here.

You need to reinstall on your new MacBook Pro from your original media (if you purchased a DVD), or from the backup you made of the installation files.
You cannot successfully migrate CS5.5 using FireWire. That would not be successful. You can use the same serial number you had before. However, if you used all your two activations, you may have to Adobe to remove its listing of your old Mac so you don't lose one activation.

  • Transfer Song(s) from iPad to MacBook Pro

So my group has to make a music video and what he need is to put the song on iMovie. I'm not really sure how to transfer the song from my iPad to the Mac. 99% of the time the Macs at my school will not notice my iPad, iPhone, or iPod. So when iMovie doesnt detect my iPad what can I do? This is due 5th hour so i really need some help.

you can try to upload it to dropbox - (get a free account), then bring it down onto the mac.  I tink you need to get it into the music space on the mac, then move it to I movie.
