How do i transfer photos from camera roll to photostream on my iPad2?
I have 100s of pics on my iPad2 and set up Photostream ages ago, but only 2 pics are on it. I want to transfer all of my photos to Photostream so they appear in iCloud and so I can delete them from iPad2 and free up storage space.
How do I do this?

How do you do that? I've tried through iPhoto and iTunes and in neither case are the images/videos from the Camera Roll accessable. Images from Photo Stream are, but not Camera Roll. And since images/videos saved from Messages end up in Camera Roll, I can't figure out how to get them either into Photo Stream or transfered to my computer.

How do I transfer photos from 'camera roll' to 'photo stream' so that they sync w/ my PC?
I want to take pics w/ the phone and then view them on my PC. I can't seem to get the photos and video to move from 'camera roll' to 'photo stream' so that I can work with them on my PC. I can move pics on my PC into the photostream upload folder and those appear quicklly on my phone in the photo stream album.

How do I move photos from camera roll to photo stream
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream only adds photos taken after photostream activation, it doesn't do video at all.
To transfer photos from your camera roll taken before activation to your Mac, connect the device by USB and import your photos and videos through iPhoto. -
How do I delete photos from camera roll but keep same photo in album
how do I delete photos from camera roll but keep same photo in album
You can't. The albums that you created on the iPad do not actually contain copies of the photos, but merely pointers to those photos. If you remove the photos from the camera roll, they will be removed from the iPad. Albums on the iPad are simply for your own organization on the device. Those albums cannot be imported to your computer either, since the photos do not exist in the albums.

Camera roll is the master list of all photos in the app. When you place a photo in an album, it's still in the camera roll.

Hi Bobnbo,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want the photos in your Camera Roll to be moved to My Photo Stream. The article linked below answers a lot of frequently asked questions about My Photo Stream, it should answer your question and give you some other general information you may be interested in also.

When do photos upload to My Photo Stream?
When you turn on My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will automatically push to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos that you take automatically upload to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and connect to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream doesn't push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture automatically upload when you connect to Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream upload.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and, under Favorites, select iCloud Photos if you're using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 or later (or Photo Stream if you're using 2.1 to 2.1.3). Open My Photo Stream. Click the Add photos button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.
I hope this helps.

How do I copy photo from camera roll to photo stream?
I've install IOS 5 and set up iCloud. I now have a Photo Stream album on the phone. How do I copy a photo from Camera Roll to Photo Stream album?
I copied some photos to the Photo Stream / Uploads folder on my PC and they did go to my iPhone. However, they also came back to the Photo Stream / My Photo Stream folder. So now I have two copies of the photos. Do I have to keep two copies of each photo on every device? That doesn't seem too smart.
I was also trying to copy a photo into the Photo Stream album on the iPhone and, somehow, that photo did get back to my PC. However, I have no idea how it happened? Any help there, Apple? -
How can I delete photos from camera roll but not from another album??
When I create a new album and copy some pictures from the camera roll to the new album, they stay on the camera roll, and when I delete one of the copied ones from camera roll it also gets deleted from the new album, how can I avoid this???
You can't. The way that I consider it to work is that you are effectively just creating a pointer to the photo in the new album (I don't think that the total number of photos on the device increases when you 'copy' them into new albums), so if you then delete the original photo you will also delete all the pointers to it.

How can I delete photos from camera roll to give me more storage
I Upgraded to an iPhone 4 from a 3GS (mainly because it was a 99¢ promotion). I have only a little over 1GB—maybe less—left and it doesn't have music on it yet. I figured my photos are the answer but can't figure out how to delete them from the camera roll. Any body out there know how?. Also other ways of getting more room on my 4? I know a 4s comes with more unless someone gives one away, or another 99¢ promotion comes along I can't afford it on a fixed income.
THanks!Paulajain

On 8.1, how do I delete photos from camera roll but not from photo stream?
I recently updated to iOS 8.1 on my 5S and was happy to get camera roll back, but unlike in the past, when I delete a picture from camera roll, it also deletes it from photo stream. This makes no sense; I want to delete it from my phone while keeping it in photo stream - is there something I'm not doing? Is it a problem with 8.1? Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

How do I copy photos from Camera Roll to personal photo album? iPhone 4 and pc
I have an iPhone 4 and use pc....
I want to copy a few pics from Camera Roll to my personal album. I'd like to copy them and then remove them from Camera roll. Then, I'd like to be able to organize folders in my personal album so I don't have to look through all 500 pics to find what I'm looking for. The pictures on my pc are in folders but they all get put together in one folder on the phone. I hope this makes sense. Thank you in advance. ÜThis forum is broken into lots of different categories for all the various applications and devices that Apple makes.
You've posted a Question about the iPhone and Windows.
But this is the iPhoto forum - and iPhoto is an app that runs on neither the iPhone nor Windows.
So, click on the link above and ask your question there. That's where it needs to be asked so you can get help.

How do you push all photos from camera roll to photostream?
My photos in camera roll do not all get copied to photo stream when I connect the phone to wifi. Is there a way to make sure all photos are transferred so that I can retrieve them on my Mac?
Thank you very much for the info! I'm just confused - why only a few photos not being able to be pushed to the photo stream. I'm guessing that's an issue with broken wifi connections or something. I'm just wondering if there is a way to re establish the sync so that all my photos are in photostream.
I'm not too keen to use iTunes coz I think syncing over the cloud is exactly what the invention of photo stream is for. What do you think have caused this? Is there a fix? Cheers! -
Is there anyway i can delete a photo from camera roll in photostream?
I have a photo on camera roll that I took of my dying father ... I have transferred to my photos on my computer but quite honestly I don't always want to be seeing it on my cameral...how can I delete?
Individual photos cannot be deleted from your Photo Stream. You can, however, delete all the photos in your Photo Stream by clicking the Reset Photo Stream button in your account at icloud.com. The Reset Photo Stream button will instantly delete all Photo Stream photos stored in iCloud, but it will not remove any Photo Stream photos that have already been pushed to your devices.

How do I add photos from camera roll to "My Photo Stream"
I upgraded to iOS7. Used to be able to select photos -> share -> photostream -> and "My Photo Stream" was an option...
In iOS7 i can not figure out how to do this. when I go to share -> icloud -> it shows other shared photo streams, but it does not show My Photo Stream as an option. If i try to add to album, i see My Photo Stream, but it's grey'ed out as a non option to click on?
"My Photo Stream" is hooked up to my apple TV, and this was how I added photos from shared streams of other family memebers to it.Hi Bobnbo,
