For a few photos, you can select them in the iPhoto library then drag and drop them to the USB key. This is a copy, so the originals will remain in iPhoto.
To move the whole library, use the procedure described here:

NOTE: When you post questions concerning just about anything on a Mac, it is essential to include information about the version of Mac OS that you are running. The latest - what you have, is OS 10.9.1.

You can go into your pictures folder in your user folder on your old computer and copy the iPhoto Library file (should be fairly large) either directly to the new computer or to an external drive.  Copy the old iPhoto Library over to the new pictures folder on your new computer.  The old iPhoto Library should overwrite the iPhoto Library on your new machine.  When you fire up iPhoto on your new machine, everything should be there in the same form as it was on your old machine.

You need to import the photos with your computer, or transfer the photos from the phone to your computer followed by transferring the photos to your iPhone the same way you transfer any other photos on your computer to your iPhone - via the iTunes sync/transfer process. This is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.

  • How do I transfers photos from a MacBook to an iPhone 4?

So far I have gotten through these steps:
    1. Plug in your iPhone
    2. Open iTunes
    3. Look down the side bar for your phone and click on it
    4. Near the top of the window, click on Photos
Here is where it goes to ****. I pick the folder I want but when I try to sync it, it shows I don't have any photos in the folder which I certainly do. I've tried uploading them from iPhoto as well as from a folder I created on my desktop for just this purpose. Can someone please explain to me exactly step-by-step how I can get photos from my MacBook to my iPhone?

How do I transfer photos from my iMac to my iPhone?

I've had many Apple Mac computers since 1994, and they have always been excellent pieces of equipment. The original ethic of Apple was intuitive, user-friendly, drag and drop principle. However, the iphone in my opinion has completely departed from this ethic.
Transferring a photo from your phone to a computer should be one of the easiest and most basic functions it can perform. I have a 10 year old push-button Nokia that can bluetooth a photo to any other bluetooth device in an instant.
However, for some reason, best known to Apple, they have now decided to make this process as convoluted as possible. No longer can one perform this simple task by via direct bluetooth link - oh no - you have to sync, and otherwise bugger about for hours trying to get one stupid picture from your phone to the computer.
They say you can email it - but what if one doesn't want email set up on their phone - I get enough email pouring in through my computer without having it spewing out of my phone as well, and even if you did have email set up, how is that better than bluetooth - it's going backwards - that's what we used to have to do before bluetooth.
The poster above - elmac -  illustrates how backwards this all is now, as he spends 'hours of trial and error' figuring all this crap out, and the 'best part of a day resetting his iphone' - these things are supposed to make our lives easier! Who wants to spend a day resetting their stupid phone!
Sorry Apple, your iphone is backwards technolgoy if it can't transfer a photo quickly and easily to another device in seconds without having to play Krypton Factor in order to do so. Even the **** Air Drop doesn't work between IOS and OSX - how massively crap is that.
As soon as my contract is up on this useless fascist slab, it's a Nokia for me, and the iphone will be launched from a vehicle at high speed.

How do I transfer apps from my macbook to my iphone?

Mac Applications do not run on iOS: iPhones, iPads, or iPod touch. And the reverse is also true.
If the manufacturer wants to, they can port their Application to the other platform and offer it for sale there as well.
To download IOS Applications directly to your iOS device, connect it to a WiFi Access Point. You do not need to have the version with a Phone plan. An iPad (WiFi only) will do what you desire directly, no phone plan. iPad Mini might be good for field work.

How do I transfer photos FROM my computer TO my iphone 4s?

The easiest way I have found is to put the ones I want in an album in iPhoto. Then, in iTunes, I select that album for syncing. From then on, I can change the album all I want and the changes are applied to the iPhone (or iPad) every time I sync.
Same as for music.Put them into playlists/albums/genres and select that playlist/album/genre in iTunes for syncing.

Since I don't want all my photos on the phone, I have created a special folder in iphoto called 'iPhone photos.'  When I sync, I select only this folder under photo tab in iTunes.

the image will go into your iphone's photo app into camera roll.
this worked for me, from macbookpro to iphone 3.

  • How can i transfer photos from my macbook to my imac without altering their quality

I am trying to transfer photos from my macbook to my imac, with the same version og iphoto, but it seems that the imac is having trouble to give me clean photos, as if it was putting 2 images, one on the other.... any suggestion for a clean and quick transfer ? and to what may cause that the photos seems blurry ?
    thanks
    Lau

Connect the two Macs together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old Mac to the pictures folder of the new Mac - launch iPhoto on the new mac and it will open the library and convert it as needed and you will be ready move forward.

  • How can i transfer music from my macbook to my iphone without my music library contents are all erased?

i've been trying to transfer music from my macbook to my iphone but it deletes all the music i have on my iphone then adds the music from the macbook what can i do so i ADD music to my iphone without having anything deleted!

    The answer is, "you don't".
Music other than that purchased from the iTunes store had to be synced to the device using iTunes on a computer. The media should still exist on that computer. She can use the computer to sync the music to the new device.
An iPad or iPhone is NOT a backup device. In order to set it up to sync to a new computer were she to replace hers, the media on the device would have to be erased before anything could be synced to it. Media synced to the device can not be synced back to a computer (without purchasing 3rd party software). Without a computer and iTunes, it's not possible to transfer media from one iDevice to another, even with 3rd party software.

  • How can i transfer photos from my macbook to my camera in OSX Lion?

I am having difficulty transferring some of my photos from my MacBook to my camera. When the camera is connected and i open the DCIM folder then the CASIO100 folder the photos are there. But when i eject the camera the photos aren't on the camera

I am not familiar with your camera; mine uses SDHC memory cards, so I simply insert the card into either the card slot (if available) or a card reader and then manually move pics to the card. Once I insert it back into the camera, the pics are there.
You might try to drag 'n drop (copy) the pics from your Mac into the DCIM folder - that would be my first try.
