How do I transfer presentations from CD to my MacBook desktop?

How do I transfer presentations from CD to my MacBook desktop?

:-(   How do I do it if that's the case? Any software that I need to use or install? I have 6 CDs that I need to transfer to my desktop in just 1 folder so that everytime I do my presentation I don't have to insert 6 CDs over and over again. I confess I'm new to Mac so I'm really a beginner and still learning how to use it and make the most of it.

You may want to use the Migration Assistant, which appears the first time you start up the new machine during setup, and also is available later (it is found in /Applications/Utilities.) Note that if you are running 10.4.x on the old MacBook both machines need to use FireWire to do this, but the late 2006 MacBook has that. You will need a special 4 pin to 6 pin FireWire adapter cable, as the FireWire ports on the newest MacBook Pros are different.

This doesn't appear to be an option anymore.
I can check songs but there's no transfer button -
Syncing doesn't transfer songs in that direction -
You can add to a playlist but the song still isn't there.

  • How can I transfer photos from iPhone 3GS to MacBook?

    Please, I need help!!!
How can I transfer all the pics I have on my iphone 3g s to my macbook?!?!??!?!?!

You can import photos from your iPhone's Camera Roll only.
With a Mac, this can be with iPhoto or with the Image Capture application.
Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process (which are stored in your iPhone's Photo Library) cannot be imported by your computer or transferred in the opposite direction. Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone are optimized for viewing on your iPhone as part of the iTunes sync/transfer process - the original resolution of these photos is reduced. Photos transferred from your compute to your iPhone should remain on your computer and be included with your computer's backup.

  • How do I transfer music from iTunes on my MacBook to iTunes on my iPhone 4?

How do I transfer the music I've loaded on my MacBook to iTunes on my iPhone 4?

plug in your iphone via usb. open itunes, drag songs from itunes to iphone.
if you have the lastest itunes and the latest ios5 you can do this without having to plug your iphone in with usb.
if you're on the same network as your computer and have checked on sharing via wifi, you will also be able to stream your entire library to your iphone, however this will only work on the same network and not in the cloud.

  • How do I transfer music from my ipod or macbook pro to my ipad

Once again, how do I transfer my music from my ipod or itunes library to my ipad?

    You have 2 separate questions.
One is getting stuff from iTunes to your iPad.  The other is getting stuff from the iPod to anything else.
By default, you can't transfer anything from iDevices to iTunes.  There are several third party programs, however, that allow you to do this.
Getting stuff from iTunes to the iPad is a case of plugging in the iDevice and dragging-dropping the files you want to your device.  Or syncing the relevant stuff.  There is plenty of literature on this available in iTunes or on the Apple site.
    Hope that answers your question.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photostream doesn't include video. Attach your device to your computer with a USB cable and import the video using your photo application (i.e. iPhoto)

  • How do I transfer photos from my iphone to my desktop Mac?

Transfering photos from iphone 4 to my desktop mac?

There are many ways. The easiest is to connect your iPhone to your Mac via the USB cable, start up iPhoto, and choose to "import all" from the iPhone.
Another easy way is to use the Image Capture application. You can download the photos from your phone to any location on your Mac's drive. This is a good choice if you don't use iPhoto, don't have iPhoto, or have only a very old version of iPhoto.
You can also get a free app such as WiFi Photo Transfer. Using that app, you can download any or all of the photos on your iPhone to any other device that has a web browser - even another iPhone.

  • How do you transfer photos from iPad 1 to macbook?

I have iCloud, but can't seem to be able to xfer or pick up my photos from the old iPad 1.
shame on me, my Macbook died and I had not backed my photos up and the only place I have them is on this old iPad......
    Help!

    Hi,
My challenge is that the photos that I am trying to transfer from my old iPad1 were taken with a camera, not an iOS device.  These instructions say that only photos take with an iOS device
can be transferred.  There must be a way to get them back onto my mac.
Please tell me that I am wrong.

  • I have all my old photos from my PC on a Maxtor external hard drive.  How can I transfer them from this to my Macbook Air?

I'd like to transfer my old photos from my PC which are stored on a Maxtor external hard drive to my Macbook Air.  Is there an easy way of doing this?  I don't know if the Maxtor hard drive is Windows specific or if it's compatible with Mac.  Anyone know?

It should be fairly simple.  The Maxtor should be recognized as "read only" since it's formatted for windows.  Connect it and in iPhoto select, iPhoto > File > Import to Library..   > Point to your external hd.

  • How do I transfer data from my pc to macbook air using a cable?

I have just bought a Macbook Air and have a lot of photos, music and videos on my old PC. It isn't wireless or on a network and transferring via CD or memeory stick is taking an age. I have been advised you can buy a cable but not sure what it is called. Can anyone help. Please!

There's several options available, they're not perfectly but from my experience they work just fine. Here's an example of just two -
    Move2Mac - http://www.detto.com/move-2-mac-overview.php
    Belkin Transfer System - http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Mac-Transfer-Kit-White/dp/B001GTM4HQ
You can also wire the two machines together via Ethernet and network them together but you'll require the USB-to-Ethernet adapter for the MacBook Air.
Also as Kenneth suggested, there's the option of using an external HD and migrating.
